The curious frown remained in place for a minute as she pondered what he said..before simply dismissing it, admitting he had lost her. She half-grinned, resuming her idle tracing of circles on the table surface with a finger.
"Are you always this smooth with the ladies?"
She asked jokingly, noting his sudden need or refreshment to cover up the last bit of confusing conversation.
((ooc: ugh, wow, that was short, sorry))

"No, no, you're special."
Alright, he didn't know what he was doing anymore, Ghiste was lost in confusion, and was now just speaking whatever. It was too hard trying to be someone, but it was hard to be himself too, now he was pulling out multiple random personalities and he was having the changes of mood like a pregnant lady! The only difference was that anger or anything wasn't in there, it was just being not confident to confidence on and off, but still! It was pretty annoying, but at least he didn't scare her off or anything, right?
"Are you always this... effective toward every guy?"

No, no, you're special.
Well of course! She thought...well, either she had succeeded in getting him under her spell, or he was really good at this game, because he was showing all the signs of a striken boy: babbling, incoherency, random clique compliments. And this last bit simply proved it. Effective? Of course she was effective, she was a professional. The dark haired girl grinned, twisting a strand of her waist length raven hair around her finger, chocolate eyes blinking at him innocently, but her voice said otherwise.
"What do you mean, 'effective?' I haven't made an impression on you or anything have I?"
She asked, a slight laugh at the end as if she doubted this. Ahh, so the cold hearted manical manipulator began to immerge on the inside, which was quite a shame really, because this guy was cute. But that's what made her a professional. She as too good at what she did.

"Nope, you have, you got me a long time ago around the time you were rubbing my leg with your foot, y'know?"
Yeah, he was just putting it blunt, that would most likely end her fun, and Ghiste's headache. He would just stay honest, there was nothing wrong with that. A grin remained on his face, a nice happy little grin showing as if he didn't even take this very personally anymore, but of course, deep down he was all like, 'Oh shit this girl is confusing, does she like me, why would I care? When have I cared about girls liking me, I used to just be myself, do I like her? Ah crap, why now, why here?' Yes, that was all Ghiste was like and more, but of course, that was just the inside look of the Ghister, what can I say?
"Why? Did you not want to make one?"

Ahhh, of course. She thought to herself. On the outside, Chi looked surprised, glancing down at her legs then back up at him, as if this had just been brought to her attention.
"Hmmm? Oh, sorry.."
She said innocently, as if she didn't know she had done it, moving her foot back, though slowly. He wasn't faking, she decided, as if he were, he wouldn't have said what he said so bluntly. Glancing down at the table, them back up at him, a rosy tinge appeared on the girl's cheeks.
"Well, um..."
She said in reply to his question, nervously.

"Don't worry about it, nobody said what the 'impression' was."
Ghiste said with his own sense of brain hurting humor that he decided to use to hopefully light up the moment. If he sort of killed the whole friendship they had, well... her loss, but at least this time he could blame it on someone other than himself! Anyways, he went back to eating his pizza since it was her turn to talk, and they had to finish the pizza, Ghiste didn't want to waste his money on something that they barely ate. Worst of all, if they didn't eat it soon, it would get cold, that could not happen!

Chi quirked an eyebrow at his explanation, curious. He was begning to make enough sense to make double entendres, maybe he was coming back to his senses. She smirked slightly.
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
She asked simply, taking a sip or their drink before reaching for another slice of pizza. She was kinda hungry.
((ooc: ack, short >.<))

"Oh, it's a good thing, no worries."
Ghiste said, that smile on his face before something really bad had to happen. You see, little Timmy over at the other side of the room was having a fit due to his order getting wrong, and his mother was a very horrible mother and gave him a sharp object in his hand. This was none other than a plastic fork, okay not that sharp, but it could still poke one's eye out! Little Timmy was going on a rampage, and got up from his booth screaming and bursting in tears running across it where he chunked the fork at the best thing he could find. This was to express his rage toward getting the wrong food. The fork soared through the air, slicing through it going for it's target, and it was intended to hit!
If only Ghiste knew that the fork was coming that moment. If only he could read minds. If only he payed attention to little Timmy crying. If only he had good luck, and the fork wasn't aimed right toward the side of his face. He might of got away, but nope, the fork slammed right against the side of his face. That wasn't it though, there was spaghetti sauce on it, and it began to drip down the side of Ghiste's face! Ghiste didn't realize it hit him until it hit him, and then he moved to his left the sauce dripping from the right side as he looked down, and he couldn't help except yell out.
"Shit!"
After that though, it was light hearted, letting out a weak chuckle he looked over at Chi trying to ignore the fact that the fork could of hit his sexy jacket or hair, and make him a pissed Ghiste then asked something extremely important.
"Uhh... could you hand me a napkin?"

The marvelously gorgeous jaw of one Chihiro Amuri dropped as their conversation was interrupted by...a flying fork? Talk about unexpected. Instinctly she glanced around the area for the culprit who through it, I mean, spaghetti sauce covered forks don't fly by themselves, when her deep chocolate eyes landed on a screaming child, whose hands were covered in the red italian sauce. The woman bending over him, apparently his mother, was thrying to calm him down, but t no avail. He had already summoned the stares of many a innocent bystander. Oh well. She turned her attention back to Ghiste, who was cursing. She didn't blame him, she probably wouldn't have liked it if t had been her. Reaching to the end of the table where the napkin dispenser was, she took a small handful and handed them to him.
"Well, if you wanted spaghetti, you could have just asked me."
She offered jokingly, a small laugh coming from the dark haired girl. This lunch date couldn't possibly get any weirder.
((ooc: and no, that wasn't an invitation ^ ;P heh))

OOC: Soooooo sorry for the late reply. ;[
"Yeah, yeah, don't make me chunk this napkin at you after I'm done with it."
It was said with a smile, that proved it showed nothing harsh, just a friendly joke from Ghiste. Moving that napkin up and down his face, Ghiste's eyes dully remained on Chi, it really was her turn to talk now, you know, since he sort of already finished what he was supposed to say! Ghiste was feeling a bit enraged with the kid who was now screaming as his mom was dragging him out of the place, and back into the mall of doom, leaving the couple (of friends?) back on there (friendly?) date. Well, now it was just Ghiste, a napkin being rubbed against his face, and Chi! This was so romantic, just touching, really!

Chi glanced in the direction of the screaming child, that was ridiculous. That woman really needed to learn how to control her kid. Dark eyes returned to her lunch date, he had finished wiping the sauce off his face. The girl smirked at his empty threat.
"You wouldn't, because you know if you did you'd pay for it."
She said, winking on of those dazzling brown eyes in his direction. Sure he looked tough, btu that didn't mean she couldn't take him out if he tried messing with her. That was the catch about Chi, she stronger than she looked, and many people tended to forget that until it was too late.
