"Thanks."
She would nibbling on the butter and toast, not at all hungry but eating for the sake of eating. After a moment or two in silence, she would glance over at the group before turning back to David.
"...we either came at a really good time, or a really bad one."
The way they were talking in hushed voices already seemed to place a bit of tension in the air, and she was sure her and David's presence - two complete strangers - must have added to it.
Once it was clear that David finished, Mitsuki would have left the appropriate amount due on the table including tip. Slipping her hands into the pockets of her black jeans, she would casually make her way to the door, passing by the group...
Until she paused in her steps, turning toward the closest member--
"--sorry to interrupt, but my friend and I are new to the area. You wouldn't happen to know of a place we can stay...?"
Since it was pretty late.

David, after finishing, would take his sword in hand, holding it by the sheath as he followed Mitsuki. The group seemed to realize that the two of them were to be looked after, as they talked in dulcit tones and kept a wary eye on them.
He stood back a little, eyes watching hands and feet for weapons or attempt at attack as Mitsuki broke the silence between them.

They would be watched, but only for a short time as they passed, it would seem they would need investigating. Of course that was before the question. One of the ones wearing the fire symbol nodded and answered.
"We have a kind of tent city if you just need a place to sleep, other than that, there are some local hotels that still operate."

The purpose of her asking them if any place was open was so that they would know where they would be. She wouldn't outright tell those that were in the room that she was looking to speak to their leader simply because it didn't seem like a good time, with how they were speaking to each other in hushed voices and seemed tired. Though the information of what had happened to the leader of one of the gangs was something she was interested in investigating.
"Thanks."
She turned around to leave.
