ooc: continuing from the house thread
Aurora stepped out onto the street thinking. Zade had been right, the apartment would need a lot of work. It wasn't as if she wasn't willing though! Anything could be done with a bit of hard work!
"We'll get it fixed up, I'm sure of it!"
She smiled at Zade, dark eyes twinkling. Zade did remind her a lot of her father. Maybe that was why she felt so comfortable around him. It made sense to her. Anyone like her father would be a good friend indeed.
"Where to for dinner?"
There was more than likely a thousand places in the city. Big fancy places, fast food places, and little family run places. All good, all great in their own ways. Aurora was up for almost anything...except the fancy place. She wasn't dressed for it, nor could her wallet handle it. A job would be needed...soon. Rent was easy...due to her parents.
Aurora kept smiling at Zade though, her eyes still dancing. She was having fun after all. It was nice to be walking around with him.

Zade's eyes kept darting around, searching for anything amiss. Two freshmen walking around, a girl and a boy, was definitely a fun targets for gangs. How did Zade now? He victimised a couple before, and it was fun then, but not anymore. Still, the two of them weren't a couple. They were just friends. Roommates. And then, he heard Aurora's sweet voice and looked at her, giving her a smile. "Yeah. We'll fix the house." He looked away once more, into a nearby alley. Man, was he paranoid, but hell, one can never be too sure. Only then did he realise that he was ruining the mood. He sighed, then looked at Aurora, flashing her another smile as she asked where their dinner would be. He looked up, and as if blessed by the Lord, saw a big yellow 'M' on top of a think pole. McDonalds. Well, they didn't really have another choice.
He grinned, then looked at Aurora. "What about there?" He chuckled, jerking his head towards the fast food restaurant. His hands were in the side pockets of his dark blue vest, his blue-and-white shirt underneath the open vest. He started making his way towards the restaurant, slowing down a bit to let Aurora catch up.

Something was wrong. Zade...seemed to be looking for something that wasn't there. Aurora seemed confused by that, until he grinned and pointed out the fast food place.
Zade...was nice when he smiled. Aurora liked it when he smiled...
"Alright, let's go then!"
Aurora smiled as wide as she could. Maybe there was something bugging Zade. Had it been something she had done? Hopefuly not!
The girl kept up with Zade, and kept walking toward the fast food place. McDonalds. What had she had there before? Something grilled and chicken... Aurora was thinking on it as she walked inside, still trying to remember it. Her face was screwed up, eyes on the ground as she thought. The pale girl walked into someone and quickly began to apologize.
"I'm sorry! Please forgive me! I should look where I'm going."

Zade noticed the change in Aurora. It was only an hour earlier that she was so shy to him, and now the two of them were as close as siblings. Still, Zade wished they weren't, for some reason. Zade suddenly realised that he was maybe too fast for Aurora, so he stopped and turned around, only to have her bump into him. Zade took a step back to stop himself from falling, but he was more worred about Aurora. Well, at least she didn't hurt herself much. And once more, she apologised. Man, everytime Aurora apologised, Zade couldn't help but feel guilty. He smiled at her, then shook his head.
"Hey, no worries."
He chuckled as he turned around and continued walking, reaching the restaurant in a few seconds. Pushing the glass door open for her, he stepped inside, looking around for a free table.

Zade. It had been Zade. The shy girl blushed, looking up at him. She was shy again for a moment, feeling embarassed. She didn't feel nervous around Zade... no, it was a different feeling she had. Aurora couldn't put a finger on it, the name to this feeling.
Instead she smiled sheepishly and followed the other. Her head was ducked slightly and she couldn't push the blush off her face.
But her hazel eyes looked up ath the menu. There! Chicken grilled sandwhich!! Oh...they had it in sourdough too...or she could get a salad verision. Fries could be changed for other things... the choices...were different then they had been last time she had been inside a McDonalds.
"A lot of choices!"
She gave a weak chuckle, looking at it still.

Well, there was a table for two. Only, the two of them had to sit in front of each other while eating. Well, if they were gonna be living together and thus eating together, they'd have to get used to eat sonner or later, eh? Zade poked Aurora's shoulder gently and pointed at the table. "Shall we sit down first?" Zade knew well how fast food restaurant seating worked. The first thing you do when entering is to find a seat first. This places tend to be very crowded. If you ordered food without 'booking' a table, your may have to eat standing up. Zade sat on the bolted chair, resting his arms on the table. He looked at Aurora, motioning for her to sit down with him.
"So, what would you like to eat? I'd queue up an dorder for ya while you reserve our table, ok?" He gave her a smile, waiting for her order. He knew what he already wanted. It was simple. That McChicken was good enough for him. After all, Zade wasn't one to choose those 'special' types. He lived in a poor family, and he was used to average food.

The girl sat down on the other chair, still blushing slightly. The hazel eyes stared at the table top and she smoothed her capris around the knees. Bah, she felt weird.
"I'll stay here then."
She reached into her purse, pulling out a ten. Aurora had everything in mind to pay for herself, and get that salad. A little spurging and getting something nicer to eat would be...well...nice.
"The grilled chicken salad please." There, the blush had finally left, and her gaze had left the table top to look at Zade. A soft smile was on her lips and she held out the ten. Already, she was thinking on how good it would taste.

Taking the ten dollars from her hands, he walked up to the back of the queue. It wasn't long, considering the time it was now. In fact, it only took about two minutes before Zade was finally on the front of the line. Looking at the casheir or waiter or whatever, he gave him a smile and ordered. "I'd like a grilled chicken salad and a McChicken. Two medium coke and 2 packet of fries please." Zade smiled as the worker got into his orders and soon enough, he had them on a tray. Giving the waiter the money, he calculated the amount of change they were gonna get. He'd have to divide it into half. Half would go to Zade, and another half would go to Aurora. Grabbing the tray with both hands, he walked over to where Aurora sat and placed the tray on the table. Sitting down, he gave her a smile. "Well, let's eat up." He grabbed for his McChicken and unwrapped it.
Holding it with tow hands, he raised it up to his mouth and took a bite. Chewing on it, he moved it around with his tongue, enojying the taste. He looked at Aurora, wondering if she had started on her salad.

Aurora smiled as the tray was set down. She reached out and took her salad. Opening it, her pale hands tore open the dressing and poured it over the salad. The red head mummbled a pray under her breath and then began to eat. Yes...the salad had been a great choice.
"This is good!"
She grinned in between bites and gave a slight giggle. Why? No reason. This was kind of odd. Just sitting here, eating dinner with Zade at McDonald's. Her hazel eyes looked over at people in the store. Normaly she would have been nervous...scared. But for some reason...she wasn't nervous. There was only one answer. Zade.
A soft smile grew on her lips as her eyes lowered to her food. Why did she feel comfortable around him? She had just met the guy! But...Aurora couldn't help but feel that way.
"Thanks Zade. I don't feel...nervous. I don't know why. But... I don't feel nervous. That means a lot to me."

Zade smiled, swallowing the ball of food that was stored in his mouth. Putting his burger down, he reached for one of the coke 'containers' and pulled the straw towards him. Drinking a few sips, he let out a soft breathe, then watched Aurora as she ate her salad. As she looked around, so did Zade, wondering why she was doing so. And then, she looked back at him and explained herself. He looked back, listening intently. Zade smiled, now blushing slightly. "Your welcome. Though I didn't really do that much, you know. It's all your doing."
He gave her a smile, then picked up his burger and took another bite, officially taking down half of the burger. It was delicious, after all. Zade chuckled, then looked up at Aurora. "I got a feeling we'd be coming here very often every time we run out of food at home." He leaned back on his chair, tkaing another sip from his coke after taking down two strands of French fries.

Aurora sipped her soda, thinking on it all. Wait a minute!!! Was Zade blushing? She stared at him for a moment, the color holding all her attention. Why was he blushing?
Whatever it was, it made her blush as well. Aurora didn't understand any of this. She finished off her salad, then started on her fries, staring at her food. Maybe if she looked at it long enough, the blush would go away.
"I got a feeling we'd be coming here very often every time we run out of food at home."
"Sounds like a plan to me!"She smiled brightly, even giving a wink and a giggle. McDonald's was good enough for this red head. It'd be fun, just sitting here with Zade again.

It seemed that she finished her main order faster than he did. Zade chuckled, then took another two bites off his burger, finally finishing it. As he did, he thought about the sudden rise of temperature earlier. Had there been a problem with the air-cons? Or did he just blush? He kept his eyes down as he took a fry out of the packet and placed it in his mouth, chewing on it as he forced himself to cool down, hopefully making the slight blush go away. Zade wondered how weird a sight they must have been. Two people of different gender sitting opposite each other, blushing as they ate their food silently. Taking his coke once more, he drank as he looked at Aurora, listening as she made a comment. And then, she winked. Wait, Zade. Try not to think too much. She was only winking to show that she was agreeing with you, nothing more. Argh. He had to admit, her giggle was indeed very cute. He almost chocked on his coke, pulling it away as he gave a single cough. Well, at least he now knew where they would be if they were not going to have dinner at home.
As he looked at the french fries, his eyes moved to the menu above the cashier's once more. And a word caught his eyes. Dessert. He smiled, then looked at Aurora. "Hey, would you like to buy some ice-cream with the change? It should be enough."

The moment Zade coughed, Aurora would have leaned forward. Well, she was a caring person, and Zade had suddenly coughed/choked.
"Are you alright?"
But he seemed fine, even asking about ice cream. A grin appeared on her face, and she rested her elbows on the table finally. Her shoulders relaxed and she just grinned up at him.
"That sounds good too. Just vinalla for me please."
Good ole vinalla. The best flavor there was. The classic. Aurora's favorite. It was a lot like her. Simple and sweet.

"Vanilla it is." Zade smiled, standing up from his seat and rejoining the line. Once he did, he turned back, giving Aurora a smile. Man, what was this feeling he was getting? He only met Aurora for the first time, and he was already falling in love with her? And why in God's name did he think that he was falling in love with her? This is too damn confusing. Zade looked away, taking a step forward as a person left the line. He looked at the menu. Well, he found the vanilla cone. That was simple. But what about him? He searched the mnu, then finally found it. Chocolate sundae. Yummy. True, it may be too sweet, but that was the way Zade liked it. Sweet. Since young, he always had a sweet tooth.
Ordering once more, he waited as the worker got into their orders. And then, paying the worker, he carried the vanilla cone in one hand, and the chocolate sundae in another. He placed the vanilla cone in front of Aurora, before sitting down and holding the spoon in one hand. Giving Aurora a smile, he spoke. "Shall we?" He dipped the spoon into the ice-cream, then took up a spoonful of the chocolate covered ice-cream and placed it in his mouth. Simply deilicious.

Sweet. That was the essence of ice cream. Cold, creamy perfection in just a few ounces. The small girl ate her cone, giving it more attention than anything else at the moment. Savoring the flavor and just living in the moment. Thinking things through while eating ice cream. That just had to be the best.
Zade....that was something to think on. Why did she feel so weird around him? Aurora had JUST met him awhile ago. An hour or two ago!!! Was there something wrong with her? Something in the food?
Her hazel eyed gaze drifted up to the person in question. Watching him for a moment. He was good looking...yes. And he was nice...sweet. A lot like her father. She felt comfortable, safe almost. And she didn't even know him. Sad, wasn't it?
Once her cone was finished, Aurora stood, begining to clean up their mess. Piling it all on the tray, she'd go and throw it all away. It was only fair considering Zade had gotten all the food.
"Ready when you are Zade."
