A Dragon's Wrath (David)

[Levi Kayamei]

Levi's brow was furrowed as he screamed through the Dragon border line, his destination: The Peace Café. The Barker spy who resided there was currently posing as a civilian within their territory, Levi planned to remedy this situation. The Storm Dragon's sword on his back, Levi landed softly in the alley by the café so as no to alert the man to his presence.

Okay....let's get this done quick and clean...

Levi's appearance changed rapidly as he bent the light around him to disguise himself as a civilian, taking special care NOT to duplicate the appearance of anyone in Dragon territory. He was a dark skinned male, about 6 foot tall, wearing a denim jacket and grey jeans with boots and green eyes. The sword disappeared as Levi, with a small smile, rounded the corner and headed into the café, his eyes casually scanning the room as he walked up to the bar. Levi spoke with a deeper pitch and slower inflection than usual, "Spiced Mocca, dirty," making sure to change his usual order, he sat backwards on the bar stool as he continued to look around, appearing as an everyday civilian relaxing for the day.

As Levi entered, he would find no one who looked like the man they had chased away.

However, he would feel the mans Qi sitting at a table to Levi's left, talking with another patron as though they were old friends. He was wearing a dragon insignia, and didn't seem to look up at Levi at all.

Levi didn't look directly at the man and remained relaxed and he turned back around as the bartender slid him his drink, "Thanks." Given what Levi knew about the spy, the man's power was either light based like Todd's or illusionary through some other means. The problem was that the spy they had encounted was likely someone else's copy. In addition, for several hundred miles, there was not a copy of this Qi anywhere, so the question on Levi's mind was: Did the spy kill his double and is now standing in? Or did he simply move beyond my range? Levi's grip on his glass tightened as he came to understand the gravity of his next decision.

Levi's eyes peered blankly into his drink as he pushed his senses as far as he could, searching for any Qi similar to the one next to him as his ki spiked slightly. I need to be sure..... He would not act brashly either way, but if this man was indeed a Dragon, Levi would find himself in a poor predicament if he slayed him outright. If this man WAS the droid spy he was looking for, he would carry out his duty and remove him from their territory, though it would be unlikely that the man would leave alive.

The man turned to look at Levi, slowly, before grinning.

And everyone in the cafe turned to look at Levi, yet strangely, Levi would still be able to hear their conversations as though they never stopped talking.

All of them would also, now, light up with the spys Qi.

Levi was right to stay his hand- for all of them seemed to be the illusionist. However, one thing Levi's Qi would be able to ascertain?

The man was in this building.

Levi's sense came back in and he suddenly felt like someone was looking at him. He spun back around to face his "audience" as he sipped his drink, very surprised to see every single someone in the cafe staring at him. More suprising was the fact that clearly his disguise had not worked. His gaze narrowed as he looked at everyone in the cafe.

This is not the same man as before....

Levi had established in their previous encounter that he could see through the man's illusions and that the man's Qi was relatively weak by comparision to his, or had he? Despite the situation, Levi was not in any mood to smile, but he would have been fairly amused before today. "Impressive.....you clearly have more to offer than you displayed earlier....but do you simply plan to hide?" Levi sipped his drink again while coating his body with armor of light using a wave length invisible to human eyes. It was entirely possible that the entire room was the spy's play thing if Levi was indeed caught in some kind of illusion and he would need to take every precaution.

"hmm"

Using the light in the room, Levi probed everything in the room; Testing what was actually there was what was part of an illusion even though, again, this would possibly be for naught if the spy was truly "in his head."

One man stood, his hands in his pockets.

"Here's the thing. While you have a unique ability, mine is quite a bit more advanced. I am able to create replications, yes, but I can also duplicate and locate any Qi of someone who has touched me. And my original Qi? Well, it has more than just the perk of replication. MUCH more."

The man whom Levi had noticed earlier stood, and walked over to Levi, would smile again before attempting to smash a beer bottle over his head.

The "illusion" was obviously able to fight. If it worked or even if it didn't the same man would talk.

"And I don't mind you knowing, Levi Kayamei- Because my name is Todd Capper. And I'm here once again to take your life."

There was something going on...

Levi's heart began to beat faster as he realized the situation he was now potentially in. The one thing that had to be determined first was the strength of these clones, because if they each had the same strength that Todd had when they fought before, he would need to let go of his inhibitions to even think of standing a chance. This meant giving into a part of himself he wouldn't enjoy letting go. Let's see what I'm up against first....

As the bottle smashed harmlessly against his armor, a luminescent spike formed behind the clone as Levi's brow furrowed again, "My life is not yours to take, but you're welcome to try.". The spike flew forward and attempted to plunge the replication through the back as Levi's fist flew forth to smash its' face in.

As Levi smashed the spike through the replication, it would shatter into light fragments and fall harmlessly to the ground.

"We will see if that proves to be true, Levi. For the sake of your friends, I hope that it is."

And todd would poof from his position- in exactly the same way Mason had in their previous encounter. Everyone in the bar would stand, turn toward Levi and grin, before attacking.

Levi managed to assess the strength of each clone and, much to his relief, their numbers were the only advantage they had, something Levi would attempt to remedy as soon as possible. Levi's anger simmered as Todd threatened his friends again. The people he planned to kill should he fail were more than friends to him and he would do anything to make sure they were unharmed.

Levi's brow furrowed as he locked onto each replication, "You will not harm them!" Beams of searing light rapidly pulsed from Levi's body, targeting every replication randomly. Levi's emotion had yet to become uncontrollable and he exercised control to insure only tables and chairs were damaged as each beam would stop short of the walls and quickly retract only to attack another clone.

The men charged, fists raised, to attack all at once. three... four... five went down as Levi's beams lashed out, light particles shattering all over the place in the small coffee shop. With only six remaining, they were now close enough to attack en-masse, and would attempt to pile on the light user and cripple him under twelve fists that would rain down painfully.

Levi was surprised that so many had avoided his attack, but this was not a situation he needed to worry about. Kajukenbo was inherently brutal inregards to counter attacks inparticular: Favoring attacking to block rather than simply parry. Normally Levi refrained from using that methodology when countering living beings to avoid killing them, but these were replications with no blood and no life to preserve.

Levi smiled as they attacked, his hands covered in sharp, searing white light. He quickly turned and made two swift attacks against the two on his left, the first to remove the attacking arms at the bicep and the second cleave them in two. Assuming he succeeded, four fists would crash against his unseen barrier, fortunately, their attacks were individually too weak to break his defense and the barrier withstood their attacks, though it would not last forever if Levi simply did nothing about it.

Levi looked back at the remaining four with disdain, "Surely you don't mean to defeat me with this?" Levi would then spin around quickly, bringing his blades around in a series of broad strokes to attempt to rip the remaining replications into pieces. Todd was poking for weaknesses, something he could use to easily defeat Levi and it was the right strategy. Levi wondered what Todd was hoping to learn with his current method.

One of the light replications waited, as Levi slaughtered his brothers. Levi easily dispensed them, and He would rattle his fingers against the table.

"I don't think you quite understand the situation. We...don't intend anything. You will die today."

Then the man faded on his own. The doors to the shop would open, and Todd stood outside. Surrounded by fifty more men.

"How much more can you take, Kayamei? One hundred? Two hundred? A thousand? I have a pool of energy so deep it can't be measured. Though, I must admit this game has become quite...boring, and the honor of your death would be empty."

Todd seemed to be thinking something over, though the fifty still stood between Levi and himself.

Levi glared as the man tapped his fingers and declared his victory. Unless Todd had been holding back significantly, such a boastful statement was folly at this point. Levi willingly followed Todd's bread crumbs, walking through the door and studying Todd and the fifty replicates with a small smirk.

"Immeasurable? I suppose that remains to be seen....."

Levi was unsure and a tad wary of what "immeasurable" actually meant in this context. If it was in regards to an unlimited amount of power source with a limited strength, then Levi could see it being possible as he was basically the same in the presence of enough light. If Todd was referring to an immeasurable strength, however, Levi was going to need some empirical evidence before buying that story as even the elders' powers were measurable.

".....You'll have to forgive me for being skeptical."

Levi stared straight at the pondering Todd as he turned the six foot area around him into a deadly field consisting of thousands of tiny, searing white, razor-sharp shards of light, each one no bigger than a sewing needle. He began walking towards Todd, literally walking through any replications that were foolish enough to stay in his way or attack. "Come on, show me this immeasurable power. Time to put your money where your mouth is."

Todd laughed.

"Boy, you Dragons are pretentious. A figure of speech, as compared to the candle that is your abilities, mine would be considered the sun. Very well, however. I'll demonstrate."

The man would seem to shimmer, and then another replication appeared next to him. This one, however, seemed solid, and unmade of light. Two more times the man shimmered, leaving four replications as the light army around him were dropping like flies. Soon, Levi would reach the four, who help up their hands and reflected light shields to prevent damage from Levi's needle throwing. They spoke as one.

"Shall we?"

They covered their bodies in light armor and attacked. The one on the far left leaping forward and dipping low for a leg sweep, while the one on the far right leapt forward for a hard straight punch aimed for Levi's midsection.

Stats of original Todd:

STR: 70 | DEX: 66 | CON: 50 INT: 45 | WIS: 55 | CHA: 400

Stats of Todd's after cloning:

STR: 70 | DEX: 66 | CON: 50 INT: 45 | WIS: 55 | CHA: 100

Todd's clones lose 10 cha per post. Once at 0, clones vanish and Todd's CHA is cut to 100.

Levi's composure was visibly unshaken, but his mind was certainly rattled. Fighting four opponents that were each his equal more or less with the exception of their Qi presence was a fight he would normally avoid and run from if he could. Levi knew his chances of winning this engagement were slim, but this fight had barely begun: now was not the time to panic. His brow furrowed as the deadly aura he had made re solidified into armor, his eyes determined as he calmed his mind with a deep breath.

No escape, only victory....

Luckily, Todd had opted to only attack with two clones, something Levi was more than equipped to handle. His thoughts trailed to the sword on his back, but he quickly dismissed them. Levi wanted to end this with his own power if he could. For Levi, defending against two simultaneous attacks was almost as easy as dealing with a single blow, however, a skill difference was usually helpful when fighting more than one opponent. In this scenario, there was no difference in skill that he could perceive. With the odds stacked against him, he would need to tip some factors in his favor to maximize his chances of capitalizing on weaknesses and openings.

Levi mixed some Qi throughout his body to quicken his response time (+10 Dex) as he quickly short hopped over the sweep as his right leg snapped upward, striking the underside of the right clone's arm to deflect the blow into the air. Levi would almost immediately follow-up as he quickly stomped his left foot down, attempting to crush the sweeping leg of the left clone as he retracted his right leg and stuck out again, sending a fierce toe kick towards the punching clone's gut as his armor made a sharp point in front of his toe.
