If Kyrie could move her ears, they would have twitched with Olesya's words. Her blue eyes veered towards the white-blonde female. Resources? She wanted to correct the willowy woman. Not "resources". Never "resources"! People. Humans! All with lives to preserve, though every Dragon Warrior knew their lives were laid upon the line with every battle. They knew, and still fought, because life was worth living, protecting, and enduring for. The one Sky Force member that had lost his life had given it in defending hers, and she always kept her promise and carried his memory, safe within her soul. And she remembered the countless other Warriors that had given their lives to preserve the lives of others. They deserved more than being called something one could count and take inventory of.
Kyrie tucked the notion away, having noted from their earlier encounter that there was something off, something 'not quite right' with the female; she was certainly more awkward in certain circumstances than Kyrie was...though really, the blonde wasn't really so awkward once people got to know her.
Just different.
And perhaps it was the same, there. Yet, if she was an Elder, she most likely would have wasted no time in putting Olesya in her place for such a careless phrase. However, she let Olesya be, though her eyes reflected her distaste with a flash for a rapid moment before they, too, calmed.
David was certainly right. The blonde tipped her head ever-so-slightly. The world was still a large place, still with people, and those people would undoubtedly rise up against the aggressor that had taken so much from them all. But something continued to tug at Kyrie's thoughts as she listened. This wasn't a bad strategy by any manner of means. In fact, if it worked out, they could very easily take control over the entire area.
It was not fear that had Kyrie considering these things, but all due caution and patience.
Gathering her thoughts and shuffling them into order, she held David's gaze a moment, continued to as she spoke.
"And yet, nowhere else in the world could be termed as 'ground zero', like our area, here. If one does not consider that to hold weight, then it is an oversight, regardless as to how it looks when he and his men have only needled our sides. Barker did not act upon a whim to drop bombs across the globe--if he had, he would have been stopped. The man that destroyed the world took years, at the very least, planning his every move on that day. He is patient, not bored, and I would not doubt he is still keeping a very careful eye on this place, and on us, even in spite of anything else drawing his attention elsewhere." Her voice was still even and thoughtful, quiet, yet clear. She was in no way even attempting to berate him, but she was here to offer insight and other angles. "I do like the plan to attack and strike out, to strike fear into the hearts of his followers, to rally those that watch our Resistance...but I want to ensure it is for the right reasons - not just to show that we are unafraid--we know we are not bound by fear, which is enough - with all the angles we can conceive being looked at with all due care and consideration. Which is also why you called us here."
Or should be, but Kyrie gave David the benefit of the doubt.

OOC: assuming that the conversation between them is going on, anyone can post as they like.
He paused a moment before turning his gaze back to hers. He stared for a long period of time.
"If this place was so important, We'd see more action than we have. Maybe he's pulling the wool over our eyes, who knows. But should we never move because he might have a plan for us? We have the unfortunate experience of being at the bottom line from where the bombs fell, yes. And Barkers commanders sure as hell have a plan for us. But right now, our scouts have been reporting significant drops in activity from them. So, we capitalize. As for why im doing anything-"
He didnt move his eyes from hers.
"You better than most should know why Im doing this. Do you plan on making me explain why im ordering an attack, everytime I do so? I have told you and everyone else here my reasons for fighting Barker. Just because it's been some time since we've had a larger scale of attack doesn't mean my reasons for fighting has changed. Do you call into questions the morality of an order from Leon or Mathew? Or have I done something special to have my reasons for ordering an attack placed under your microscope?"
He stared, unblinking, ignoring everyone else. He didn't mind someone coming to him, asking why he's fighting or doing something in regards to an order. To not question something is to live as a fool. But no other Elder had ever been stopped in the middle of a battle plan and pressed for semantics while speaking with a group. Mathew would have slapped her and told her to shut her mouth, or stated he didnt owe her further explaination. David wasn't that kind of person- but his patience with her insistance for him to bring forward and present his 'reasons' for the battle so they could be scrutinized and judged was beginning to wear thin, and soon his indulgence would fade.

Bastille came in quietly to the scene, her sword at her belt and her battle gear in tact. She had a deep frown on her face as she wore the dragon ear cuff on her ear and obviously her wedding ring on her finger, notifying everyone as her status as Mathews Voice. She didn't like the Dragons, she made no secret of it. But she was not here as herself, she was here as Mathews voice, as a favor to her absent husband- who was stuck with diaper duty after loosing a bet that Bastille couldn't cook a certain meal without certain ingredients. -the idea that she had won something was the only reason she was here, willingly and not wanting to cut something. She folded her arms, taking a back seat and just observing for now- she didn't exactly understand what was going on, nor did she agree with what she did know. They didn't need to expand, they needed to re-enforce. Her eyes mainly focused on David and the garden gnome....curiously, but intent on whatever it was they were whispering about. She didn't like the tone she saw from where she stood.

Kyrie did not wilt in the slightest under his stare, but nor was her posture threatening or challenging. She simply stood. Straight. Seeking. Observing. There was something more to his words. Something she wasn't seeing, or perhaps wasn't meant to see, even with her direct questions.
But it wasn't what she was thinking a potential reason for this sudden move was. Of that, she knew by the words he said, and more by his tone. Even so, once he finished completely, there was a weighted silence. The world, and there stood two people, ignoring it. Gauging one another. And Kyrie's blue eyes flickered with something. She was measuring him, drawing a final conclusion on this topic.
Her eyes softened. Not in that she was surrendering or backing down because his questions were too much, but something deeper. Understanding and acceptance. She may not have been pleased for not getting to the heart of the matter - David was tense, and not just because of her questions, and something was amiss - but there would be reasons, and good ones.
It was a test. He had not lashed out. His words were strong, but he did not command her to silence, or to follow. He did not act rashly, but sought her own reasons for her questions. And, thus far, he had passed.
"You have not done anything in particular, David. Though I have not thus far, if I thought there was even a possibility that either Leon or Mathew did not have a clear head with a sudden tactical attack, that I would not question them as well. I strive to always learn and observe, and part of it means there are times in which I can not follow blindly. Your reaction to my questions, however inappropriate you may think them at this time, show me that which I seek. Your reasons are your own, but I am satisfied that there is no fog in front of your eyes. I have been away, recently, for reasons which you know all too well, and as always, the world continues to spin even if we are not there to bear witness." She paused. Rumours, as always, were heard. Attacks were not kept a secret. She was quick to catch up, but her questions were about verification. And, indeed, though she was loyal and her trust complete, she would not follow blindly.
Her apology was silent, said with her expressive eyes, and a respectful bow. A fist clasped over her heart. Warrior. Respect. And yet above all, human. He could be angry with her if he wished, but it was so easy to fabricate an "appropriate response" when people knew what the underlying cause for her questions was. When she straightened, she did not back away, but stayed in place. Kyrie was not guilty of anything, and thus had no reason to back down or hide. She was not ashamed to have questioned him, nor would she be ashamed to stand alongside him.

His smirk having long faded as soon as Kiyr spoke up, her concerns were well warranted. However, Kazuya, having been under David's leadership for a long while, trusted the Elder Dragon's decision, and his loyalty to him was unwavering, his respect and honor for him immense. His gaze flitting over to Olesya, he couldn't help but mentally palm his own face at her words. Resources. It made it sound as if they were items, nothing more, nothing less. He would stay silent though, because despite his new promotion, outside of combat, he was third to Olesya, The Voice of The Storm Dragon. As the conversation between Kiyr and David continued, Kazuya would move over to Raikotsu, to speak with the young Sudeki.
"... Raikotsu. If it is alright with you, I would like to meet with all of your apprentices, to test them, Yachiru included, even though I have tested her abilities before. I wish to gauge their abilities, as well as see if Yachiru has grown any stronger since that day Levi and I tested her."

After Kiyr finished talking and bowed , David said nothing, turning his eyes to the group once again.
"Assuming there are no more questions, the meeting is over. We will all meet together before the long march south, on the morning of the third day from now. I'll be meeting with each of you individually, over the next few days, to give you specifics. Prepare yourselves and the men in what ways you can, and meet with each other to discuss the new jobs i gave you. In three days we move to strike. Be ready."
David would turn and nod to Anna to take off, who would do so, before turning and pointing at Kiyr.
"You. I want to speak with you in two hours, in the war room."
He would turn to Leon and offer a hand, ignoring a response if she gave one, assuming she would do as she was told. He would speak gently to the lightning Dragon.
"Leon...things have been happening. That tower has kept us apart too long. We need to talk, tomorrow sometime if your available.

Bastille would walk up to Kiyr after David was gone towards Leon and put a hand on the girls shoulder.
"Totally off subject, but could you babysit for me tomorrow?" She asked quietly. "The girls miss you...you do better faces then I." Bastille said, but her eyes were on David with a mild curiosity. She didn't look at Kiyr until she was sure she wasn't going to get a look back at her and smiled at the girl.
"Reply when you're done with the work David has set out for you...I speak as Bastille, as far as I am concerned, Mathew and I were absent"
She doubt David would come speak to her regardless, so she'd go speak to her Dragon instead. She would immediately regain her cold stare as she let her hand fall from the girl and continued on walking- slipping away from the group silently and without any official word. If perchance, she got a glance from Leon- she would wink at him before slipping into darkness.

Clarification and verification out of the way, Kyrie listened as David addressed the collective once again. She didn't expect to be addressed by him again after her last words, and thus was not offended that he didn't say anything more. She watched as he sent Anna off with a nod; she may have wanted to speak with David's temporary Voice when Olesya was not around. But she would find out what had been going on with a little time, regardless. When his hand shot out, finger pointing towards her face, she blinked slowly and inclined her head though the fact he addressed her as 'you' set her teeth on edge.
From ridiculously formal - but not entirely respectful; she knew a sign when she saw one - and downright insulting to clipped and giving her a non-address which was still insulting though she certainly understood the reasons for that. She stared at his back, that uneasy knot in the pit of her stomach twisting and writhing. The hand upon her shoulder after the click of heels approached wasn't necessarily startling. Just a little surprising. Kyrie's shoulder was tense beneath Bastille's hand, and was very slow to relax. Blue eyes were reluctantly torn from David to see Bastille actually. smiling. at. her.
With a blink, the blonde's eyes lit with cautious joy at Bastille's request. Yes. The girls. Part of every reason to endure and live. She didn't know if she could, however, and Bastille obviously knew by her next words. Kyrie's gaze spoke of quiet appreciation for both the request and the understanding.
"I will let you know if I am able to look after Evelyn and Aryanna as soon as I know more. I have missed them, as well..." While quiet, her voice was far from secretive; in fact, it was filled with quiet but deep emotion. Yes. She wanted what time she could with them just in case things turned sour in David's plans, regardless of what they were.

Ohhhh. Well. This was interesting. She had never really seen the Barrial woman interact with David. The tension that popped up was interesting. Something was going onnnnnnnn there~~~ Perhaps she should feel bad for Levi. But then...
The only thing was, was Aryn was rather miffed there didn't seem to be anything for her. You know. Aside from BURN THE ENEMY. oh wat hay~ Bastille was here.
Well. If David wanted her to do something, he could catch up to her. With a quirky grin, Aryn followed Bastille as she left and looped an arm around the woman's shoulders. The brunette didn't look back.
. o O ( omfg cracking up at Bastille winking to a blind man~~~ <3 )

Bastille, having nodded and walked away from Kiyr, just looked at Aryn- a wicked smirk crossing her lips.
"Boo." She said, continuing to walk. Winking at a blind-man- still her best joke, possibly ever.

"Hey, sexy legs. Let's ditch this drag." Aryn impishly put forward for ironic effect. They were already leaving. But she had the decency to tack on: "I have some spiced rum back at my place. Come have a drink~?"

Bastille paused in her walking-....................
and.....deliberated. She had done her duty as his voice, she was free to party right? RIGHT? Ah, what the hell- she sucked at being a mom anyway and she hardly left the house anymore, so the girls had begun to like daddy more- they saw mommy too much.
"It has indeed been a while since I've tasted finer stuff." she smirked and let the girl lead her onward.

Rai nodded to Kazuya.
"Give me a time and place and we will be out there, you are free to test their skills in anyway you see fit. Just remember, I'm quite sure I'm not strong enough to make a fight against you interesting and they are far weaker than me."
With that Rai would take what Blaze had said and if he was no longer addressed would turn to leave.

A small smile appearing on his face, Kazuya couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle.
"Raikotsu, if I had wanted interesting, I would have gone to spar against Leon or David. If anything, it will be interesting for them. I will send messengers to your base of operations in Mt. Olympus in the next day or so. Until then..."
With David ending the meeting, if he was not addressed, Kazuya too would take his leave after the young Sudeki had left, preparations were in order.
