Lucien sipped on his drink, while the girl on his lap downed hers.. Apparently he needed to keep up, and, he was getting more and more okay with that by the sip. His world was in his bubble, and he was content with the redhead on his lap, the two more women at either side, and the drink in his hand that was inexplicably becoming more delicious the more he drank it.
And then he heard the effervescent voice of Marcus from the aether. And Marcus said dancing.
"Dancing...?" He mumbled in the general direction. Four drinks in ten minutes must be a bit much, because he felt like his mouth was pretty far away.
Lucien had never been to a dance, nor asked to dance, nor danced. But, in the state he was in, he felt like it could be enjoyable. Now, would it be too forward to ask someone to dance with him...?
His whiskey-affected eyes glanced around, first to Kiyr. Classically trained, most likely an excellent dancer, and on a drunkenness level that was around the same as his own, probably, by now.
He then glanced over to Rose. Fun, energetic, red hair could be a plus. The diversity of a gene pool in order to create an incomplete dominance in the genes could plausibly also be correlated to dancing ability. Plus, she seemed to be really into him. Can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
To Bastille. Married, with children. Husband would probably kill me or at least make some sort of riddle about how he was going to kill me.
Passing over, to Delilah. Somehow, he thought that it would be nice to dance with her. But.. Delilah doesn't get drunk. Which was somehow a deterrent.
The newcomer, Mitsuki Park. Also not drinking. Also don't want to make a fool of one's self after just meeting her, and little to no formal introductions.
Raikotsu, now that was an interesting choice. Slim, buff, somewhat good looking, even with the missing eye. Maybe that was a thing of his...? People with eyepatches...
Marcus... Would find it totally unacceptable for Lucien to suggest dancing with him. And worse, what if he was offended by it? Or thought he was joking? Lucien surmised that since no one knew he was gay, he should probably keep to one of the women for now.
Of course, everyone would obviously see him just look around the room at everyone, looking for someone to supposedly dance with. At the end of it, he simply sank into the chair a little more, slightly embarrassed at his, well, forwardness.

Rai finally perked up at the mention of dancing. "What? Dancing, ah but alas not without music!" Rai then jumped up downed his current shot and shook his head. "Hold on I think I saw something in the hallway that might help." With that Rai went back into the hallway from which he entered, after a few moments he came back with a guitar and some local entertainers carrying an assortment of instruments. "First me and 2 of these other fine fellows are going to play a song I learned from my time in Texas, then we shall be accepting request." With that being said Rai put the guitar strap over his shoulder and began to play. Rose jumped up out of Luciens lap when the music started. "Oh! I love this song! Dance with me Lucien!!!"Then without waiting for an answer she pulled Lucien out of his seat and took them to a clearing in the floor best suited for dancing. (OOC: For songs 'requests' just make mention of talking to Rai or the band in your post and on my next post I shall 'play' the next song on the list.)

The warmth of Delilah's hand on her own was a comfort. Kyrie drew in a breath and lifted her gaze to manage a tentative smile, reassuring Delilah that she'd only been shaken by the rapid movement. The smile relaxed and softened as the alcohol swam through her. The tense lines of her shoulders softened, and it felt like the world swayed a little as she breathed. She was suffused with warmth, and the only momentary disturbance was Marcus smacking his hand against the table.
She flinched with a wide-eyed blink, but overall her reaction had dulled considerably since partaking in her second shot.
She twisted to watch Marcus shift and shove tables and benches and chairs out of the way, and blinked owlishly - the blink even more owlish than normal - with a tilt of her head. She curiously watched Marcus, hardly taking note that Rai strode off and re-entered...until she saw the people that tagged along with. Then her gaze shifted and she watched, wide-eyed. So long as they stayed over in their little area...she was going to be okay.
Breathe.
The music started. Rose jumped up. Kyrie shrank back. Too many people. Too many unfamiliar people. She turned her eyes back to Marcus. He was no Delilah, but he was no Mason, either. And she trusted him before, and right now he was looking to be a good option for stability.
With a shaky exhale, she carefully uncurled her fingers from her shot glass and nodded her head, just a little.
"...okay."
She carefully shifted her legs over the bench, reaching up to brush her blonde, curly hair over her shoulders, and slowly stood. For stability as the world seemed to lurch beneath her, she moved her feet wide, and breathed in and out a few times.
'...woooow...'
Drinking was crazy. She was already just about drunk. Or was drunk. She wasn't sure. Kyrie slowly lifted her gaze to Marcus and, finding herself...stable enough, began to carefully pick her way towards him, trying hard to keep her equilibrium right so she didn't sway - too much - and found the beat of the song on the way to him. A hand reached for his.
Trusting him.
The alcohol helped her to shed some of her fears.
'...he did not say how he dances...' She blinked at the sudden realization of thought. 'Anybody can dance. Anybody can dance. I just hope I do not fall over--please, self, stay on your feet. ...he has nice hair, I never noticed...big and gruff, sometimes more bear than wolf...mmnnn nope. Wolf, through and through. Not Mason...not Mason...he probably would have done something if he was there, in fact. ...safe...big brother...'
Her eyes glittered a moment, and she blinked the tears away. Though she didn't say any of her thoughts, her eyes and face - now that she wasn't so self-aware with the alcohol - probably conveyed enough of her emotions that something of it could be understood.

"What's going on again?"
Delilah just shook her head at Bastille's remark, indicating that she wasn't quite sure, either. But it involved dancing, and Delilah was having none of that. She was finally starting to get fuzzy around the edges of her vision, and it seemed like a bad idea (even though the thought of her dancing was already a very bad idea) to be doing complicated things on her feet. She did that once, and a lot of Barker soldiers got fucked up in the process.
But it seemed like Kyrie wanted to dance with the big man anyway. And there was Rose, tearing off with Lucien like a Justin Bieber fan girl. Whoever THAT was.
And so, Delilah would sit, tapping her toe to the beat and sipping her whiskey. Blue, smiling eyes turned to Mitsuki.
"How've you been?"

Bastille stood at one point and just stood there like an idiot. She knew how to dance- sure. Ballet, tap, salsa, tango, ballroom, some swing- you name it she'd probably dipped her toe in. She loved dancing- when she was fighting. But normal dancing?......nope lost as a dislodged button.
And her vision was doing that weird dancing thing- or was it her brain trying to keep up with her eyes?
So she just stood there, watching everyone.

"What oh okay..." Lucien mumbled as he was dragged to his feet by the redheaded woman. This was not the type of music he would have called 'his kind of music', but, the musicians were very adept at their chosen instrument.
As he stumbled after Rose, he tried desperately not to lose his balance, or trip, or fall to the dizzying ground. Now that he was up, his head felt much heavier, as if every movement could have knocked him off equilibrium.
As he got into the proper position, squared up with Rose, and placed his hands in a standard ballroom position, he realized that he didn't know this dance. She, being hopefully more experienced, would have to lead.
Which Lucien was okay with. Looking over, he noticed Marcus and Kiyr paired together, with Kiyr's face crimson red, longing for something. Maybe there's something there...?

The lack of enthusiasm from the ladies, or at least all but Rose, left Marcus positively crestfallen, though he hid it well under mock exasperation as he taunted Del and Bastille with his hands on his hips and a wet raspberry tossed in their direction. He'd make sure he would never let them live this one down......
Resigning himself to leaning against a table and clapping along to the beat, the young wolf was about to turn away when little Kyr surprised him by stepping forward. When he realized what she intended his smile grew brighter as a laugh escaped his throat.
"See? And the meekest of us shall show great courage. Or however that quote goes......" He would tease the wallflowers before offering the young Blonde a hand. Lucky for Kyr, Marcus wasn't so crass as to immediatly begin flinging her around the room like a baseball bat. Instead he would take her one hand gently, hold her at a respectable distance with his other hand at her hip and with a wink to the girl who barely came up to his chest, he began to sway his hips and step in time to the beat, leading Kyr into a slow tight circle.
She seemed....disoriented somewhat, so Marcus would keep silent and concentrate on keeping her from accidentaly bumping someone or something and keeping time with the beat. Marcus DID have something of an OCD when it came to rythme.

Bastille just stared blankly.
"Ohhhh..we're dancing!"
Drinking made Bastille slightly brain dead.

Oh good. Oh good. He knew how to dance. More-over, he didn't pull her in...so...so so she could deal with the hand on her hip. Maybe. Probably. While she could pick up the beat, she was thankful that Marcus didn't do anything fancy. Her limbs still felt heavy, but moreso her legs.
Like wading through molasses.
The blonde blinked owlishly at the wink, brow furrowing the tiniest bit before it smoothed out. Alcohol had smoothed the edge down--no, it took it clean off and sand-blasted it to a smooth finish. A smooth, unsteady finish.
She briefly wondered what she was doing. How her old life - dancing symbolizing it - could ever meld with this new world she lived in. Kyrie felt her eyes sting. Ghosts of the past...
...and yet.
And yet there was someo--
The small woman shook her head. She didn't know, truly, how he felt. Regardless of the dreams....she didn't know.
...yet, she loved him...
Her mind lost its train of thought and she swayed slowly in her Wolf-Brother's sure grip, finally not panicking at all about being so close to a male that could - but wouldn't - easily hurt her.

Well this was kinda nice. Alittle stiff and stilted but nice. Still, it seemed Kyr still had something weighty on her mind judging by her quiet sombre expression.
The little dragon was heady from the drink aye, but at least she didn't mix anything volatile in her little belly so the chances of her throwing up were pretty small so far.
Welp! Time to be alittle more....distracting then! Gradually he began to up the tempo and widen the circle path they followed as Marcus began to vary his steps and even at certain point would release Kyr and walk a circle around her, clapping his hands over his head before returning his hands to their positions upon her.
"Let's kick it up from grandma speed alittle?" He would say with a mischevious smile and a glint in his eyes.

A look of bemusement crossed her face as people were getting up to dance and celebrate...well, celebrate life, I guess. She turned her head to face Ms. Black and gave a light-hearted shrug.
"I've been doing alright. Not much going on," for once she didn't have anything on her mind. She nodded over to those swaying to the music and asked-
"Not going to dance?"

Delilah blanched at the very thought. "ME? Dance? Nooo, nonononono. I don't dance. Especially not while drinking, that's just a recipe for disaster," she chuckled at her expense.
Still, that didn't stop the mechanic from turning her head to watch Marcus and Kyrie wheel about the floor like they actually knew what they were doing and Rose carting Lucien around (who looked vaguely as though he had no idea what was going on).
"Yourself?"

Marcus got a wide eyed blink from the petite woman at his suggestion to pick up the speed. Of course, he had just wandered his way around her, clapping his hands, and she managed to stay on her feet.
If swaying slightly.
She had kept up to the gradual increase in tempo, able to be lead by feel alone with the fingers of one hand curled with firm gentleness in the groove of his arm; the point connecting her thumb and index finger slipping perfectly against Marcus' deltoid muscle, her thumb resting against the very top of his bicep her fingers curling around against the tricep muscle. It gave her an uncanny ability to follow his lead, as his movements were practically perfectly telegraphed with her hand there.
From her posture it was easy to tell she had several years of formal dance beneath her feet.
"Nnm, I--maybe..?" Her fingers curled a little more tightly against his upper arm in an admonition of trust for the man that had ruffled her hair. It was funny how such a simple thing along with their previous interactions had allowed him to sneak in to being trusted. The fact he was a Crow and close to Delilah helped, as well, but it was the man himself was beginning to eke his way in as a permanent fixture in her life. She gave a tiny nod.

Rose would be more than happy to lead Lucien! Or toss him about if he were to clumsy, or fast enough to keep up and she would laugh all the while dancing to the beat! Rai and the band finished their song looking around and the people having fun he decided it was best to just keep playing until someone decided to give him a song. "Well ladies and gents, without further ado here is another song!" www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh3LzG3Y2aY

Lucien was pretty clumsy on his feet, having consumed multiple drinks in such a short amount of time... and was now being literally swung around by Rose, who purportedly had no problem leading.
"Whoah... Spinning. Ohkay. Urp... Rose, can we slow down a bit? I think I'm able to walk." He replied, suddenly starting to feel his stomach rejecting the massive amounts of alcohol. His head felt like it was in the air, his face totally numb.
Maybe he should sit down...
