Vincent's face lit up for a moment as he realized it may be possible to see if his siblings were still alive. He decided to temper his excitement. Nothing was ever certain until it was confirmed. "Thank you" Vincent replied, "I would very much appreciate that"
The young man was not sure about signing up for "citizenship" in Dragon territory, though it was a welcoming prospect. After all, the organization he was a part of no longer existed as far as anyone else could tell. Even so, the young man still felt a lingering attachment towards the brotherhood he had been sworn into over seven to eight years ago. All of that did not really matter at the moment. He could worry about where he was staying one step at a time.
There was one thing that egged Vincent in the back of his mind. While he was distracted by the Dragons, how they operated, and all the other events that transpired, there was a topic the two had not discussed yet. Olesya seemed to know something about the deformed bullet he carried around with him. Along with the scarred arm, which should have been a useless stump.
"Sorry if this seems sudden, but let me ask you something Olesya" Vincent started, "About that bullet I showed you. Do you know something about it?" The young man pulled out the misshapen chunk of lead and placed it between them on the coffee table.

Curiosity piqued, she picked up the lump of metal and turned it around in her hands, her fingers picking out the divets and plains of the metal. It was incredibly interesting, it looked like the bullet that had his something incredibly hard like a metal wall or something.
"Tell me more about this. Where did you get it?"
Guns hadn't been operable for some time now, not since whatever it was Barker put in the atmosphere. Olesya had forgotten the name of it, but the name wasn't important. She'd managed to run into some thugs who had jerry rigged a sort-of spring laden gun with a crossbow mechanism that shot her in the arm, but it hadn't been deep thanks to the shotty craftsmanship. This bullet looked different though. It had been shot at high velocity.

"I got it back in 2007 when I was first deployed in Iraq." replied Vincent. The young man folded his arms across his chest as he thought back to when it happened. Of course, he had been knocked unconscious by the bullet so he had no idea how it happened. But his squad mates were kind enough to reenact the entire scene. While he was not always comfortable talking about this topic, he figured this was not the time to hide his experience. "Our convoy got ambushed and we were returning fire. One lucky bullet found itself on my head. Only, it didn't kill me. It should have though. Nevertheless, I received a nice lump and a shallow cut from that mess."
Of course in Vincent's mind, he believed this was pure chance and that God had given him another day to live in paradise. But now, it was a little different. Olesya was by no means a normal person. Well yes, she was the result of a super-solder experiment and her physical abilities were a testament to that fact. All power however, had to be harnessed from within the human body. She was probably much more adept at it than typical human being.

She listened to his story, nodding and turning the bullet over in her hands again. This bullet had found purchase in his skull, and yet here he was sitting in front of her today, no apparent signs of serious brain damage. He was either very lucky, or something else.
"Did your skull do this?"
She asked, holding up the blunted side of the bullet, looking at him incredulously.

"As far as I can tell, yes." Vincent replied. He tilted his head sideways and parted some of his hair to show a barely visible three inch scar running along the right side of his scalp. "Thats all I got from it." The young man then sat back in his chair and waited for Olesya to respond. She seemed to know something about what might have happened. At least, more so than he did. The moment he was hit, the young man had blacked out for several minutes before coming to along the side of the road. ooc: Yeahhhhh I think short posts are all we can do at the moment. And apologies for my disappearance. Duty called

Olesya frowned thoughtfully, still turning the bullet in her hands. His skull had stopped it! What was he, Wolverine?! Did Vincent have Adimantium protecting his brain? As cool as that would be, it was rather improbable. Not impossible, improbable.
Afterall, he had said he was similar to her. And Olesya had been in line to becoming a super-soldier before she escaped the Facility.
"Have you ever broken a bone?"
She asked curiously.
"Or, is there any point in your life when you stopped breaking bones, or had injuries much more minor than they should have been?"

At Olesya's questions, Vincent found himself subconsciously touching the right side of his ribs. He had fractured them several years earlier during a sparring session. This was after the bullet incident. Other than that, no other major injuries except from the shrapnel when the bombs fell.
"Yes." Vincent replied, "I fractured several ribs after the bullet incident. Other injuries occurred from grappling, falls, and the like but nothing severe."
That moment, something clicked inside Vincent's head. Olesya had asked him if there was a time when he had stopped breaking bones and injuries were more minor than they should have been. Of course he had fractured his ribs at one point, but this was due to pressure and a different material. The bullet left him with a laceration but did not penetrate his skull. The shrapnel tore into his skin and muscle tissue but did not shatter his bones. What if there was something to do with metal?
"However, I have had an interesting track record with metallic elements."

Olesya listened to his explanation, crossing off 'adamantium' from her mental list. The likelihood that she was talking to a real-life Wolverine was pretty unlikely, but it was worth a shot.
"Oh?"
She asked, wrapping her hands around her glass.
"Tell me more."

Vincent leaned back slightly against his chair and thought for a moment. "Well, I've gotten normal injuries like any other human being. But any major incident that has to do with a metal object, it's not as bad as it could be."
The young man began counting with his fingers. An index finger went up "First incident, was the bullet. I had a separate sparring incident where I cracked a rib or two during grappling. Then another one from a wooden stick."
The middle finger came up, bringing the count to two. "Second incident, the shrapnel from the explosions."
Then the ring finger, making it three, "The third incident was out in neutral territory when someone tried hitting me with a metal pipe. I tried disarming him but the guy managed to take a swing at my arm. It hurt somewhat, but the pipe bent around my arm."

"Hmm..."
Olesya mulled over what he said, trying to draw any possible conclusions from the evidence provided to her. Granted, she was no scientist, so it was all purely speculation, but having another mind on the task could possibly show more possibilities to explain the phenomenon.
"It could possibly be something to do with the magnetism of your body. You could have a negative or positive magnetic strength to you that repels metal. Have you ever developed your qi? Unless this is a result of experimentation, I'd imagine it has something to do with that."
Afterall, David could control the sky, Mathew could control the earth, Eury had a 6th sense of sorts, and Kiyr could control shadows. Olesya hadn't discovered her own qi yet, it was still dormant if she had any inclination at all. However, it appeared this boy had a gift he was only just discovering.
