"I- I didn't mean it!" He squirmed, when Marcus reacted the way he was sure to, from that comment...
Lucien listened to the rant, hoping that he wouldn't suddenly turn and slap him or something. But, he seemed to calm down as he spoke, and soon, he was asking about his medication...
"Oh. Yeah. I was diagnosed when I was eight. Started on drugs, then." He pondered for a moment. He didn't have much memory before that point. In fact, most of his childhood and teen years were a blur.
"Side affects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache, bruxism, changes in appetite, insomnia and/or changes in sleep, weight loss/gain, increased risk of bone fractures, changes in sexual behaviour, increased feelings of depression and anxiety, suicidal thoughts."
He nodded. The list went on, those were just the ones he experienced.

"I know!" The man growled dangerously. "That's why I can't just smack you one when you say stupid stuff like that. Cause I know you don't mean it." And it wouldn't be the first time the young wolf had rubbed Marcus the wrong way. In fact the first time would be during their first meeting as he recalled.
"Kids these days. Honestly"
His eyes would widen as Lucien listed off the side effects of the drugs he had taken as a child. Suffice it to say the man was stunned! "Sweet jesus christ pup, if you weren't neurotic before taking those pills you would sure as shit be after. Hold on, why were they making you take this damn things again? Wait a minute...bruxism.....bruxism.....bru- oh! That's when you grind your teeth right?"
Marcus' own family never really bought into medicating their kids even with their ADHD and he grew up colored by their disgust of the practise.

Lucien nodded, grouping himself in the group of 'kids these days', which he would really rather not have happen. Though he was younger than Marcus, he wasn't a kid, nor a teenager.
At the large man's reaction to the list of side-affects, Lucien nodded. "Yes, that's bruxism. The designed purpose of the medication was to help curb my disorder. To stop obsession, stop caring about things. To stop compulsion, turn down the urge to act."
A fair explanation, and one he had used back then as well, when people asked about his disorder. The result was a drugged-up zombie, walking through a haze. No ambition. No memory.
He smiled, then. "Which is why I'm so glad I'm not on them anymore."

"Yeah me too." The man agreed with a nod, a slow smirk spreading across his lips. "I don't think I'd be able to tolerate you half as much if you were all drugged up on zombie pills." He added with a chuckle. Knowing Lucien though, the young man would probably take that alittle more seriously than Marcus intended. Perhaps a token of his regard was in order? The man rarely let people in on how he percieved the world let alone people, but he figured the pup deserved at least a glimpse.
"I know I have a habit of giving you a hard time." The man suddenly grew serious as he spoke again. "Teasing you, pushing you hard, riding your ass about this and that day in and day out. Letting the pack trample all over you and such. Just want you to keep in mind I do it cause I firmly believe you got the testicular fortitude to handle it. Everything I throw at you was for the single point to toughen you up and I gotta say, looks like its working."

Lucien gave a sideways smile at Marcus' initial statement. Having to tolerate the younger man, well, that gave a bit of a glimpse all in itself, didn't it?
But then his commander continued. And Lucien found himself unable to make eye contact with the man. As he averted his eyes, looking down to the ground, he started to mumble a bit.
"It means a lot... Thank you."
He decided to look back at the horizon, to hide the fact that his eyes were starting to well up with water.
"Sometimes, it's hard. I feel like I don't belong here, like no one would want me around if they had a choice. That the pack just tolerates me. It's good to know.. That you think I can make it. Everything else, I can work on."

For awhile the man would remain silent, allowing Lucien a moment to wipe clean his eyes. His words were the truth, Lucien was the youngest brother in the eyes of the wolfpack and though it meant that they would dote over him, it also meant he was free game for the rough treatment. It was how Marcus own family worked and how he himself was raised.
"Question for ya. So tell me about your ninjitsu training. Cause I won't lie, at first glance I never really expected you to be ninja trained. Was this before, or after the weight and the drugs?"

Lucien dried his eyes. The question was a valid one, and though he hadn't told it recently, it was still in memory.
"It was after the drugs, but when I started, I hadn't lost any weight. I originally started as a hobby, and a way to get in shape. But it evolved, so that it was my life. In two years, I had lost over 100 pounds. Got my black belt in three years. Sensei always said that my weight helped me understand balance and coordination, that it made me a good budoka. He must have been right, because as I lost the weight I kept the balance, and the values."

Marcus cocked his head to the side at that one. He had learned growing up that if you couldn't move around your opponent, then move your opponent around you, relying on technical positioning before execution instead of raw dexterity.
It had made Marcus dangerous when he began to trim up himself. It sounded like Lucien meant the same thing, but the way he phrased it was vague and alittle confusing.
"Smart sensei." He grunted with a respectful nod. "Learned how to wrestle first myself. Dad would always rough house with us growing up, sneaking in all the stuff he learned as a kid himself. Gave me quite an edge running through elementary school lemme tell ya."
"I was still mostly a street fighter though. Throwing punches around like I knew what I was doing before bending people into pretzels. Fuck half the stuff I learned after that was from imitating shit on TV" He added with a laugh before continuing.
"Then Leon Sudeki got ahold of me. Made me a better striker, augmented my grappling skills. As I got more and more confident I started hungering for a style that let me use my parkour skills and flexibility. That's when I found out about Capoiera. Took all of 552 by surprise it did. Rolled it all together and boom! Here I am. My philosiphy always was 'I want every part of my body to be a weapon'. Ground game, standing, grappling. I know a lot of people preach focusing on a single style but that was never my thing....."

Lucien looked to the older man as he explained. Hearing that he had attended Public High School 552, one of the top ten notorious schools in the country (along with 259), he thought about what kind of environment Marcus had grown up in.
"Is Leon really that skilled? I knew he was powerful, but... It's beginning to seem like he's a master martial artist."
He thought about his previous encounters with the enigmatic Lightning Dragon. About how calm and sure he seemed. Like he really didn't have a care in the world. Maybe that was a reflection of his attitude towards life. Or, maybe it was a confidence that stemmed from being unmatched.
"And, if expanding your skill set will make you a better overall warrior, I think you should do it. For me, I've found what works, and what works well for me. But," he added, "I'll still be using all the other skills I've been taught... The Parkour, for instance. It's pretty damn useful for what we do."

"Leon Sensei is......" Marcus paused, looking up to the night sky thoughtfully as he constructed his response carefully. "....Strong yeah. Skilled yeah. It's more than that though. He..."
Marcus sat up higher and planted his hands to the ground, raising his body up and turning himself around to directly face Lucien. He then began to talk alittle more animatedly, using his hands. "It's the WAY he teaches. Like you knew ALL of it all along and he just....Says a few things. Gives you like ONE lesson and all of a sudden it all just. Clicks. Like I said, then it's like you knew it all along and he just had to....I dunno. Unlock it or something."
Marcus went quite for a moment before shrugging. "Or mabey that's just me. Makes sense on account I was his only real success. At least last I checked. God I hope I'm not....."
"As for style man, just go with what works yeah, I wouldn't have it any other way. I mean the only reason I push Parkour is cause It's the Science of Body movement right? Blah blah blah. Whatever What I'm saying is as long as your doing your job, which you ARE by the way, you take from me what you will."
With that said Marcus grew quit and fidgety as he began to rock back and forth from his cross legged position, looking up into the sky as if searching for something before looking around himself.

{OOC: Sorry this took me so long to reply to. You already know why.}
Lucien smiled, knowing all too well that physical movements shared very common themes throughout different arts. It was what made them whole, made them all one, and made them each unique at the same time.
Noticing Marcus getting restless, Lucien wondered if he was perhaps just antsy because of the conversation topic. In fact, Lucien himself was getting a little excited, too...
"Hey, do you remember that game we played when I first came to Anaheim? The very first thing we did?" He asked, with an excited grin. He looked over at the burly man to gauge his reaction.

{OOC} It's cool man ^_^ {OOC}
The man stopped fidgeting just long enough to give Lucien an inquisitive look, head tilted to the side and brow raised up as he worked out what the young man was getting at. The moment it dawned on him, a wide grin slowly spread across his face as his eyes began to twinkle.
"Aaaaah. Why good sir I do believe I do." Seemed the young lad was able to rouse some energy out of him with all the Reminiscing they were doing. Well, he was doing. Marcus didn't mind though. With the mood he had been in he probably would have dipped into the more depressing stories of his past.
And noone EVER wants that.
Slowly rising to his feet, Marcus took a moment to raise his hands over his head and stretch up as tall as he could, Causing a veritable cacophany of cracks and pops to echo around them. Once that little ritual was complete the man sauntered over to the edge of the roof and turned back to Lucien and stroked his beard.
"Wouldn't mind seeing how far you've come along." Without warning the man hopped backwards and fell, hands lashing out to catch the edge of the roof as his feet struck the wall. No sooner did shoe touch brick, Marcus would begin to climb down with deft ease as his experianced hands and feet found even the slightest notch and hand hold to grip into. Spidering down about halfway the man then kicked off the side of the building and landed on the streets below tucked into a roll before springing onto his feet.
That was the problem with this city. Even the tallest buildings just weren't tall enough for a man from New York City. Waiting down below, Marcus put his hands on his hips and watched to see how the pup himself would get down. Something nice and easy to start this game out.

Lucien grinned big, standing up with the man and watching him hop off the edge of the building. He ran to the edge and took a large jump, aiming for the wall of the adjacent building. As he made contact, he began to slide down, using his shoes to keep a bit of friction while he adjusted his hips to maintain balance. Making sure he wasn't sliding too fast, he 'fell' to the asphalt.
Landing with an elongated roll, he slowed his momentum to a jog, approaching the large Wolf and smiling.
"After you, Sir."

For a moment Marcus was worried he would have to run over and catch the young pup, only to have him leaving the big guy with a mile long grin as he stopped infront of Marcus, who wasted no time in reaching over an giving the lad an approving pat on the arm. "Not this time Ghost wolf. After seeing that? You lead. I follow."
'After seeing that, the other's better step their game up. Croakers been trying for months and he STILL can't nail that trick.'
"Just....Don't get used to it." He added with a smirk, ready to fly off behind him whenever he was ready.

Lucien blinked. That was something not entirely expected, though not unwelcome. He had been wanting to pull off that move for a while now, he had only mastered it a few days prior. The smile returned to his face doubly, as he nodded.
"Alright, then," he chuckled. Taking a few steps past Marcus, he looked over his shoulder at the large man.
"I'll only go in a straight line."
And he was off, at a steady jog, down the alley. Lucien knew Marcus' skills were way above this grade, but he figured he would start out slow anyways. Coming to a concrete partition, he hopped and vaulted over it, swinging his legs to the side to help him clear it. Landing on the balls of his feet, he kept jogging at the same pace.
