Arael watches in silence behind Rai. Watching, observing... and learning too. Without any special abilities or weapons, Ari can do nothing to help the fighters. So for now, she will continue to observe.

[Koshiro WarHazzard]

"Ok. New tactic."

Light would gather in his hand again. Then a staff would form. About 4 feet long. Then it would curve in his hand and flatten out. As its form began to become more clear. One would see that it was a light replica of his own sword. After a second with it in his hand he would look at it and cock his head to the side. "Hmm. No heat. Thats new" he would shrug and look up at Kaz.

"Lets get started." He muttered under his breath.

[Kazuya Hikari]

"... Too slow."

Was all Kazuya would mutter as Yachiru went to slash at him again. Lifting his left hand up, he would make a motion as if he was pulling a mask on as a mask would appear on his face, not only restoring his sight, but the fire engulfing his entire body would turn... white. His left hand whipping out, he would effortlessly and unflinchingly catch the Qi tentacle in his hand, preventing it from slashing him, before flattening his right hand like a knife and try to slice it in half.

Letting out an almighty roar soon after, he would rear his right arm back and counter the Qi uppercut with a downwards punch of his own, to try and shatter the Qi fist into pieces. Turning his attention to Zax after he had let out a loud cry, springing towards Kazuya after shooting his leg bone out, a bone coming out from his wrist like a javelin, a katana of white fire would form in Kazuya's left hand before he simply stepped to the right to avoid the charge, and in a flash, would try to slice the bone in half while his right fist rocketed towards Zax's head simultaneously, to try and knock him out. He would worry about Koshiro and Malakai afterwards.

Zax would look down and noticed bone had been sliced in half. Turning to attempt to shoot out one of the bones, he would notice Kazuya's fist where his head was and the bone he shot going right for Kazuya's under elbow. He hoped it would hit that soft spot.

OH MY GOD. Thats the guy from the other night? Wait a sec. He cant see without that mask....... (yes. He was paying some attention the other night.) But how is he able to make us out when it is off? Hmmm. he thought

He let go of his light sword, it scattered like blue rose petals on the wind, then it was gone.

he drew his second of three hidden knives and threw it straight for Kazuya's mask.
then he would procede to create an identical one out of light. Since light is unaffected by fire, this might have a better chance. He threw it straight for Kazuya's shoulder.

"Ok, candle stick. lets dance."

Nodded to mal and then ran at Kaz his final knife in hand.

Mal would make a lunge at Kaz with his bare hands! Like an idiot.....which mal tended to be.

[Yachiru]

As kazuya tried to cut the tentacle it would turn to smoke when he cut through it and then return back into shape and retract. when kazuya went to shatter the upcoming fist he would succeed, the pink fist would shatter into several pieces. Upon hitting the ground the pieces would turn into a puddle of pink spongey liquid. a flat pink slate would slide out of yachiru's pedistal and touch the puddle, allowing the Qi to return back into Yachiru's reserve.

Upon realizing that her current tactic wasn't working she changed. her pedistal shortened by 5 feet and her Qi formed around her right hand and started forming the shape of a War Hammer, over-sized of course, it is Yachiru after all.

Maintaining her distance she went for a wild swing at Kazuya's left rib cage, facing him from the front. (i think, if not adjust text for where on Kazuya i'm hitting)

As Zax shot another bone at Kazuya, under his elbow, he would easily deflect the bone with a quick outwards slash of his fire katana, sending the bone flying off to the side, while his fist would continue rocketing towards Zax's head unhindered, and considering how close in proximity Zax was, he would have a difficult time evading or blocking. If he succeeded, with a loud boom, his fist would connect with the side of Zax's head, more than likely sending the first of Raikotsu's apprentices flying through the air and knocking him out instantly.

The second knife Koshiro threw at Kazuya melting instantly before even reaching his mask from the sheer intense heat and temperature of the fire engulfing his body, especially with the powerful white fire, the light knife would simply be swallowed up by the light generated by his fire.

"... You will have to do better than that... Light bulb."

As both Koshiro and Malakai ran at Kazuya, the fire katana in his hand dissipating, lifting his right arm up, he would fire a rapid barrage of fire blasts at the both of them, to not only burn them, but knock them back.

Simultaneously, as Yachiru reformed her Qi into a giant war hammer and swung it at Kazuya, lifting his left hand up, he would simply catch the war hammer with his hand, and glancing at Yachiru from the corners of his eyes while slightly gripping the flat side of the head of the war hammer, would fire a blast of fire from his hand to destroy it, before proceeding to fire a rapid barrage of blasts of fire at her pedestal, working his way upwards, before firing at her, to try and burn and knock her down and out.

[Hone]

Zax made a bone mask he had been making slide down in front of his face. It would shatter, yes, sending Zax back into the ground. He would hit it and slide into a tree. But if anyone was paying attention, all the tree's leaves would turn brown and fall off, and the brown wood would turn to a pale gray. Zax would wake back up and all his burns and scrapes would be gone. "Thanks, Kaz! That was refreshing! Now are you gonna down here, or are you gonna come fight like a man?!" Zax would make another mask and touch a bush to heal the hole. "Bring it!" Zax would go into a fighting stance to prepare. (Bone mask below)

--watching from the edges of the field for several minutes now would be Delilah, leaning casually in the shade of a tree. A frown creased her forehead and her fingers tapped the crook of her elbow where her arms crossed, seething quietly.

Watching Koshiro.

She had hoped, perhaps as much as Kazuya had, that he would handle the fight...better. Better than he had with his first interaction with her and Tengu, at any rate, which had ended with Delilah barely retaining a good opinion of the young man.

But this...

Did he learn nothing from their spar? From the years of blood, sweat and tears that had given her wisdom into the ways of the warrior? From what she was seeing now...she thought not.

Was it all a waste of time?

Yawning loudly at last to draw attention to herself, she slipped out of the shadows enough so she could be seen. Delilah would turn to leave, but not before casting a look at Koshiro: one that had a slightly curled upper lip and an almost angry, betrayed look reflected in her blue eyes.

I am disappointed in you.

And then without a word, she would go.

Kazuya, your writing in this thread was top. I found, however, that once the character started expressing his emotions, that the thread became much more readable. This was due to a combination of the increased emotion in your posts, and the subsequent emotional reaction of the other characters in the fight. Both of those, you were the cause. It's refreshing to see Kaz with emotion, personally. I would like to see more, since it's my belief that characters that are mostly neutral all the time tend to become static over time. Though you fought four opponents, one only posted twice, and I didn't give that character any EXP, so I can't justify giving you one for fighting him. If you're really pressed about it, PM me and we can talk about it. +3 EXP

Zax, your contributions to this thread were, for the most part, pretty rudimentary. I found that it lacked exposition, and was more of a "Zax reacts this way and yells and responds this way" kind of experience, and I don't mean that as an insult, or in anything bad. There was a few moments where your real talent shined through, namely the internal battle with the character's own fear and with 'George'. I'd like to see more of that, the more in-depth character writing. +1 EXP

Arael, you were a spectator in this fight, and it showed in your writing. At times I found that you were struggling to string together a few sentences to say that she's still watching, just because it's 'your turn' to post. Maybe I'm off the mark. I sense a talent in your writing, and I'd like to see that brought out more, perhaps as Ari comes out of her shell. 0 EXP

Koshiro, you did pretty well here. As the thread went on, your character started to become more intuitive in his thinking, and in discovering more about his Qi you can continue to grow as a fighter. What I'd like to see is Koshiro the person, not just the fighter. Right now your writing is very 'outside' of the character, and not really brushing that much on his emotions, ie how he's feeling about being in this fight, how much he wants to beat the challenge vs how hesitant he is to perhaps kill, etc. I also think you can get a lot more out of a post by expanding it from short form. Saying "Koshiro nodded knowingly," even in that short fragment, reads so much more coherently than "*nods*". "Hmmm.." compared to "He watched, trying to analyze the best way to pose his attack." 1 EXP

Yachiru, I really do enjoy your character. I think that there's a lot of potential that you haven't touched on for progression of Yachiru's character, and that's what I'd really like to see, lest she fall into a placid, static character. In relation to this thread, your contribution was notable. You're finding new ways to adapt to situations, which was, I think, the point of the exercise. You might want to be careful of run-on sentences, and large blocky paragraphs, they can make it difficult to manage the flow of the thread. +1 EXP

Malakai, your contribution to this thread was negligible at best. Two posts, plus one blurb added on to Koshiro's post, all adding up to less than 100 words. I don't have a sense of who Mal is, nor do I know what he is even doing other than berserking and cutting down his allies. I might be totally off the mark here, but to me I see Mal as more of an NPC, for all his involvement in things, you didn't need to make him a PC. Though, ultimately, that's not my call. You might want to be careful about meta-gaming, such as knocking a character to the ground because of his IRL situation. The intention was good, but still, you know better. 0 EXP

Raikotsu, I know you were a spectator in this thread, and your involvement in this specific situation was minimal, and I know you have some reasons for that. I really do enjoy Rai as a character, and it might be selfish for me to ask to see more, but he's quite the guy, with quite the story. 0 EXP.

All in all, a good thread. Good job guys, keep it up.
