OOC: THIS THREAD IS REQUEST ONLY. You may not post in this thread unless you have permission from the current players.
--------
Olesya and Levi had been put in charge of reinforcing and monitoring the borders of Dragon Territory. Like the rest of the soldiers, Olesya took her shift in guarding the walls through the night. The gang had grown formiddable enough to deter any small factions and loose cannons from trying to take on the territory on their own, but it didn't mean they were without threat.
Tonight she was manning the south tower overlooking Barker territory. There had been flares of activity in the recent weeks, so the watch shifts had doubled, and as always the barracks were on alert if anything should happen. So far, everything was quiet.
The white haired woman checked the watch on her wrist, one that she had rigged to be powered by winding up as opposed to the long-since dead mini battery. She was clad in her usual uniform: black tank top and capris, black (specially designed) ballet shoes, her Skyforce kacket layered under her white and red Blazing Legends jacket, and black leather fingerless gloves. A black sheath was tied to her waist, housing the black and white handle of her newest gift, her katana.
Noting the time, she cupped her hands to her mouth, tilting her head up and making a loud bird call. Olesya waited a moment, and one by one, nine similar bird calls responded. All of the watch towers passed their check-ins...good. She walked in the doorway of the watchtower and scribbled a note on a clipboard hanging on the wall before returning to the balcony.
Kaleidoscope hues slowly scanned the ground outside of the walls, looking for any signs of movement or disturbance. It was almost too quiet.
[ooc; Eury can be part of the watch crew if she wants or a passerby, Im open to whatever <3]

((OOC: Since technically this is one of the first times she's been out since coming back. She's actually in the dark about somethings so probably a passerby.)) [/a], black cargo pants, black parkour sneakers, with a dark gray tank underneath. Her natural wavy hair was in a low ponytail and tucked into the hood that she placed upon her head. As she ran, hopping over some things, occasionally flipping off others with flexibility and easy it brought a smile to her face. She hadn't lost a step at all. She could feel the city again, despite it's current state she still felt a life booming from it. It danced in her as she found herself on the south end. Though picking up the sounds of bird calling she almost stopped but she was already in motion. Only her eyes shot up briefly away from her front. ~Hmm?..Signaling? Must be guards on duty..~Distraction. Never a good thing especially when running why? Cause you never know when there would be a random person suddenly in front of you bending down for something. Why? Why do people do that? Eury's eyes caught the person just in the nick of time and without missing a beat she found herself diving over the person and going into a tuck roll before popping back up with a exhale of relief. "..Shit...that was close...Whoa! Still got it!"Eury didn't really bother to look back at the person to scold them or anything. She was too proud that she pulled that off and magically kept her hood her. She was like a giddy child. Coming really close to placing her hands on her hips in victory. Bah, who are we kidding she totally did it. [/ul][/font]

Olesya scanned the land outside of the wall, paying close attention to trees and shadows for any sign of delinquency. As she began her second pass, another guard from the other side of the tower called out to her.
"Voice. Movement inside the perimeter. Dark clothes, no defining features. Kinda shifty."
She gestured for one of the guards inside to take her spot before walking to the other side of the balcony, looking where the first guard was pointing. her hands curled around the fence as as leaned out oto get a better look. Sure enough, a lone figure was bounding off the walls and running across the rooftops. No exposed hair, no defined features. Lean, athletic, and feminine. Olesya frowned, looking to the guard.
"Nice catch, deputy. Keep her in sight. I'm going down there."
She vaulted over the side of the balcony, sliding down the wall to the ground. She took off at a sprint after the figure, gaining ground quickly. She leapt at the wall, keeping up her momentum that allowed her to run against the vertical surface (thanks to her ballet shoes [item]). Once she got even with the figure she'd push off, aiming to tackle her to the ground.

After taking her pause admiring her quick reaction time and reflex, Eury would begin running off again. Steadily she started to regain the stride she had before that random collision almost happened. She started to feel in tune with the area, literally feeling it within her. Picking up its vibes and such. Though she was a bit out of whack about her gifts she suddenly picked up what was called an intent off someone. Decently strong enough intent to cause an alarm to raise within her. Eury spent enough time training in stealth and other areas that left her to be very aware of her surroundings, almost possibly in a paranoid way some could say. It came from behind her that was for certain.. This made her, while in her stride, push off her left foot leaping away from her pursuer to the left. Just in time to see them dive past her she almost caught her for sure.
~..Whoa... What the hell?..~
As Eury landed her hooded head tilted in bewilderment at the woman that tried to attack her without any provocation from the brunette. Out of pure reaction though Eury's stance was placed naturally in a ready position - left leg leading, right leg slightly back, shoulder width apart. Her hands however stayed at her sides yet remained extremely loose. Her silk voice emerged quizzical about what just happened.
"...The hell was that?...Do you normally just leap at people first then ask questions later?"

Olesya missed the girl just by a hair, brushing past her as she tumbled to the ground. Not missing a beat, the white haired woman rolled to her feet into a ready position, drawing her sword in the same motion. She pointed thie white blade at the hooded woman, narrowing her eyes slightly as she spoke up, almost sounding offended.
"Yes, because running around in the middle of the night in dark clothing isn't the slightest bit suspicious."
She spit back sarcastically, resisting the urge to roll her eyes. She needed to keep her gaze trained on the woman and her muscle movements in case she tried to break away.
"I'm on the night watch, my job is to keep these citizens safe. There have been spies among our ranks, so you'll have to forgive me for doing me job."
She continued, her voice flat in a businesslike tone, with exception to the slight sarcastic sneer that slipped out. After having been nearly killed in her sleep by one of these infiltrators, she had an almost zero tolerance policy with anyone remotely suspicious.
"Who are you."
It wasn't a question.

~That's some blade..~
Eury would know, she liked shinny things. Advent blade collector. Trained with swords and daggers for a long time. But right now that sword was pointing at her and well she didn't exactly appreciate it, then again who would. But she couldn't blame the woman now could she, especially after hearing her words? Sarcasm. It actually made Eury smirk. Sarcasm was a game Eury could play. It'd probably end up going back and forth all night too. She usually gave back what she received.
"..Well you're right about that.. But then again wearing light colors defeats the purpose of stealth no?.."
Of course that wouldn't help the situation but Eury always had a bad habit of doing that from time to time. But hey it wasn't the end all be all. Spies among their ranks? So they've been getting breached a lot? Well that was no good.
"...Seems that hasn't been going too well if they keep slipping through... Must be a decent crack in the defense line huh...So you're forgiven...."
And there she goes again being snippy. Just can't help herself. There's a sword being pointed at her and she wants to be sassy? Well did say two can play that game. But Eury noted the woman's tone. She wasn't playing around she was highly serious about her duties. It was admirable. Ooooook enough of the sarcasm. Removing her hood to show face, she spoke without the sarcasm for now. Eury could comply a little after all, did she really want to get into a fight without a weapon against the girl with the sword? Not really but then again she's trained for it. But it still can be difficult. With a sigh she spoke.
"...Names Eurydice..."
She paused actually unsure to use her full name. She normally never did anyways. And as of now she still carried Leon's name. Which that alone should tell the woman in front that she wasn't a spy but what if she herself was a spy. Playing not to be. It's a strange thought for most people to have but possibilities with spies are endless, Eury should know.
"...Not for nothing, but for all I know you could be a spy... Spies do have a tendency to play the role they need to to achieve their goal...So you would be? "
Not as though finding out who she was would exactly exempt her from being a spy. Couldn't really exempt either of the two could it? Depends on how deep their paranoia had went. Whether there was an option of a brief trust and truce.

"You wouldn't need stealth if you belonged within these walls."
She countered, narrowing her eyes at the woman. She complied though, after another bit of sass, removing her hood and providing her name...her first name. Olesya quirked an eyebrow at the lack of a surname, indicating that she noticed.
"My name is Olesya Van deBogart, Voice of the Storm Dragon and head of border security. I am hardly a spy."
She sneered at the accusation, as if the thought itself insulted her. And it did, as it was her job to reinforce security in the territory. She opened her mouth to speak again when a piercing bird call rang out, more urgent than the status check bird call. It was a distress signal. Les turned her head to the signal, cursing.
"Cred. Barker's men."
She turned back to Eurydice, lowering her sword and putting it back in her scabbard.
"I have bigger fish to fry right now. Buck up or go home."
She took off toward the tower, using the ability her shoes give her to run up the side (though there was perfectly functional escape ladder), vaulting back over the balcony to look over the wall. Twenty men appeared from behind the trees, making for the wall. A couple of them held a battering ram between them. Les put her fingers to her lips and blew two short shrill whistles to which the nearest two towers responded. They were taking the offense.

~If one was practicing for the future than yes..~
Eury's head tilted a little at the woman now identified as Olesya Van deBogart, Voice of the Storm Dragon and head of border security. Eury hadn't asked for what she was, but simply who. Which in Eury's mind was just a name to match the face and she got a full name. Cause of course if Eury was a spy that was the perfect thing to give her so she could find her later. Olesya proceeded to add on titles which for Eury never really meant anything to her. Titles were just things given to you by other people. In some odd way some people thought it carried weight with it. To Eury it was simply words compressed together to formulate an imaginary thought process of importance. But the woman's introduction made Eury laugh inside mockingly.
~..And I'm Eurydice Sudeki... Daughter of such and such...Sister to Lily and Caleb Stone...Mother of Spike and Lana Sudeki...Foster mother to Elena Stark....wife of Leon Sudeki... Voice of myself...pleasure.... I think I stroke a nerve calling her a spy..Oops..~
She couldn't help herself. Bad Eury. Bad! It was wrong so very wrong, but at least for once it was an inner thought than her outwardly saying it, no? None the less Eury's hazel greens turned towards the bird call as well. Her gaze only returning to Olesya's at her words hearing the woman curse in dragon tongue. Well it was doubtful that the spies got in enough to learn the language no? The next few words Eury ignored watching the girl run up a wall.
~...Hmmm... Barker's men... The man that made the world a shit hole...~
Eury contemplated quickly on her next set of actions. Go up and help or keep moving. Eury could very well turn her back and let them handle it, but because of her two year absence there was something in her that made her quickly scale up that ladder after the woman. Probably also the curiosity of why one would leave someone that believed to be a spy alone. Eury could easily get away and well Olesya would be having fun the whole night trying to find her again. Once there Eury would of course keep a safe distance from her for reasons the girl seemed jumpy and quick to draw that sword. But yet in her speech slowly with her hands raised would walk up cautiously till she was at her side able to see over. Catching a glimpse of the men and battering ram.
"..If you were questioning where my allegiance lied.. Probably shouldn't leave the spy that's supposedly inside go so easily... But...cehla E's hud..Ruf ypuid y csymm dnila?..Mega oui cyet drana yna pekkan vecr du vno... It's been awhile since I've ran into a fray... How about we show them they can't just go banging their dicks into everything expecting the girl to easily give entry, hmm?"
Eury would say it with a smirk on her face. Oh she was feeling it. She was ready to get back into that stride. The quicker the better. A fight was a good way to clear her mind too and against some Barker guys? Well why the hell not. All the help they could get was needed. Olesya would know that. But the change came from a stand point of more wanting to do something rather than sitting back. It also would give her a bit of much needed insight.
OOC: For those reading... the line spoken in a different language read as the following : 'since I'm not..How about a small truce?..Like you said there are bigger fish to fry..'

Olesya didn't care that she had given both her name and title to this Eurydice woman. She had already been attacked once, it was difficult to hide when you had a seat of power and stark white hair that stood out in a crowd. Let them come, was her motto, And I will be ready for them.
The white haired woman blinked as Eurydice vaulted up to the tower, standing in front of her. She had half expected her to run off into the shadows like she was want to do. Apparently, she wanted to offer her services.
"Oui luimth'd ryja maynhat Tnykuh-cbayg vnus yhouha pid y Tnykuh. E yknaa du ouin dnila, pid E's kejehk dra untanc."
She replied, though her tone was slightly cool, though accepting of the truce. Olesya found it hard to trust people, especially in times like these, but Eurydice must have learned Dragon-speak from a Dragon, it wasn't something you could just pretend and pull it off.
"I want you five to line the wall here, provide defense from above. Trent, signal the West tower, tell them to flank the offesnive on their side. Pierce, same for the East tower. Green, go wake the troops in the barracks. The rest of you are with me."
She ordered, indicating Eurydice with the 'rest of you.' She moved to the wall where a zipline was attached. She picked up a rope loop handle with a caribiner clip from a container on the wall, clipping it to the zip line and gripping the loop with both hands. She leapt over the side of the watch tower, sailing over the wall toward the ground outside. She let go as she reached the ground, tumbling back to her feet and glancing back at the soldiers (and Eury) following suit.

~...Indeed..I'm sure you'd be surprised to know who...~
Typical Eury fashion a smirk fell across her lips at the white haired woman before her. Though Eury's background found her taking orders from Kilik they were more assignments than actual orders. She never considered herself a follower to anyone. Never really been one to take orders like a common solider, but there were times where even a stubborn woman like herself was capable of making exceptions. This being one of those cases. The brunette had very little; actually that was being far too polite; she had no knowledge of the ongoings of this world. Well other than what Barker had done, and the little tidbit that Olesya had given about spies invading. So taking that into consideration Eury had no right to give orders to these troops or even this woman before her. Though that wouldn't completely stop her if somewhere on the field she saw an opportunity. With Eury's experience how could she stay so quiet on that. The orders were barked out and Eury would follow suit. Zip lines! Zip lines were so much fun. Eury loved heights so to soar down from a height was even more thrilling.
~...Once more into the fray...~
Upon hitting the ground, tumbling back to her feet as Olesya had, she stood by the woman. But looked out forward instead of behind her. For a moment Eury's faced dropped to a seriousness, glancing with her eyes to her right hand. She hadn't been back for too long but she had already noticed irregularities in her power. Feeling not so sync like before. A bit out of control of sorts. Right now it would be nice to be in control of it. Oh the help it would give for this situation. For the smallest second her left hand glowed a light purple then faded quickly.
~...Shit..Really? You're going to do this now?!...Fuck.. What is wrong with me? It's like I'm a beginner all over again... UGH! This is so fucking annoying!.. Fine! Fine..I got this...I don't need it...It's not something I rely on anyways...~
That was more than true. Though it was a part of her and she had incorporated it into her combat it didn' define her. It didn't change the fact that she knew how to defend herself. That she was still a force regardless. What it did was add a higher danger factor. For reasons best later explained. For now, the slight frustration that formed on her face disappeared and she glanced forward again keeping a straight face. Speaking calmly to Olesya.
"..I'm all ears on how you want to proceed..."

Les nodded at Eury as she awaited orders, as it were. Her expression remained blank and serious, but the brunette was slowly earning points in her book. She could have run off and continued to play ninja if she'd wanted, but she either felt enough respect and protection for the territory to defend it, or was itching for a fight. Whatever her reason, Les would take it.
Her eyes swept over the approaching enemies. Most of them had blunt weapons like clubs and bats, but a good portion had metallic objects in their hands. Swords, knives, daggers...weapons that wound and kill.
"The enemy has hostile weapons. No mercy. Take them down quickly, no questions asked. If they retreat, let them send the message that we're a force to be reckoned with."
Olesya drew her sword once more, the white blade glinting in the moonlight. The blade hummed in her hand, anticipating bloodshed.

Again orders were announced as the two stood there waiting from them. Simple thugs with blunt and sharp weaponry. Eury was a bit surprised, though it wouldn't show, that these were soldiers of Barker and they didn't have any fire arms? She would've thought a man like him would make sure he would have that kind of weaponry at least. Eury had only been back for a few days, but she could tell that in a world like this guns were probably rare to have for 'normal' people. But a man like Barker, that didn't seem so farfetched. From what she gathered the fact that the Dragon's even had this much territory and were seemingly living well enough meant that; her in mind at least; Barker didn't quite see them as a threat. If so, then why the sudden attacking? And Oleysa mentioned spies among their rank, well that wasn't exactly so strange considering one would want to check up on their specimens. But still, something seemed really really off to the brunette.
As her body turned a bit sideways with her front facing Oleysa, she kept thinking how strange this was. To someone like her who lived her life as an assassin, she was well versed in the aspects of espionage, tactics, strategies and more.
~..Simple thugs, that's all they are...I count about a little over twenty.. That's it?... A battering ram team to break down the gate with just 20 thugs? That seems idle in most situations but to evade a territory as big as I assume this is, what would they hope to accomplish?..There really isn't a chance at a victory here not with a small number of them, unless of course they were the best of the best and that is highly doubtful..Something just doesn't feel right..~
For Eury it felt that there was something more. Testing defenses? Probably. This was usually a good way to do so. It was a sacrifice but clearly Barker seemed the type to sacrifice anyone for his goals. Just based on everything she got that vibe. But then again this could've also been a distraction for something else. Again Eury's slight paranoia and possible over thinking had kicked in. Over thinking could be bad in most situations or could even possibly save lives. Left leg forward, right leg back, hands loosely at her sides, Eury was ready to engage. Just before she would speak to the woman beside her once more.
"...Something is off about this to me... Be more attentive to your rear this time..."
The way she spoke was as if she had known the woman, but that wasn't the case. Eury just assumed based on a quick assessment of first impressions that she had been a lot of fights before. Eury was just a bit concerned about this random attack cause she felt there was something more. Maybe she was wrong and if she was then good. But that feeling she couldn't shake it. In that moment, a thug with dual daggers ran up, leaped forward and attempted to with a downward motion with his hands as he was landing, stab the two woman. Another with a bat came on Oleysa's right looking for a home run to her head. Instinctively Eury hopped a little to the left to avoid the stabbing. The timing between the guy with the dagger and the guy with the bat was off. Meaning one attacked than the other instead of at the same time, that would give Oleysa plenty of time to move.
~Idiot thugs, can't even coordinate properly.~
Now things were starting. OOC: Hope you don't mind. Just to start up the fighting. ^_^

ooc: By all means! ------ And thus the anvil dropped. The ground between the warring factions shortened to nothing, the thugs taking their first swings. Olesya used an outside block to knock the thug's dagger hand away as it reached her, catching the second man's approach in her peripheral vision. She ducked, letting the bat swing over where her head had been moments before. Because her legs were now bent, she leaned her weight to her left, kicking her right foot up into the thug's gut with a roundhouse kick. She left Eury to deal with the dagger man while she focused her attention on the man with the bat. After the kick, she straightened up, bring both hands to her sword, striking the pommel down hard on the back of his head where he bent over in pain. He crumpled to the ground unconscious. Olesya did not want to kill if she absolutely had to, there was enough blood shed these days. Two more thugs came up to take the first's place. The both had two by fours the length of their arms. As the first swung, she swung her sword to meet it. Steel cut through the wood like a hot knife through butter, leaving him with a stumpy bit of wood. He looked at it, shocked. Les took the opening to kick him in the throat. He fell down gasping for air. The second man swung, not having learned his lesson from the first. She sliced the two by four and kicked the end of the remaining stump hard, making it rebound into his face. She stepped far to the right, angling around him to slice the tendons behind his knees. He too, crumpled. She quickly stepped back to the first, who was struggling to sit up. She kicked him square in the face, a sick cracking sound emitting as she shattered his nose. He was down again. She glanced back to Eury to see if she was okay in addition to checking on her men. ------- 3 Average Thugs down, 7 remaining.

The deflection from Oleysa threw the dagger wielders landing off a little causing the man to land awkwardly and roll not very graceful to the left. Just perfectly rolling into Eury's knee. Eury wouldn't miss an opportunity like this, the minute he rolled towards her without missing a beat she took two steps forward launching her right knee at his face, connecting dead center. His nose being broken from the contact was more apparent from his shout and his hands reaching to grasp the area while he fell backwards. Oh look did he drop his daggers? Oh yes he did. Finders keepers! Swiftly giving him a front kick to the chest, he'll be winded and hurting for awhile. Just as she was bending to grab the daggers she felt the movement behind her, the wind changed and he wasn't good at surprise attacking since he was screaming. Immediately she tucked forward into a roll picking up the daggers, while a thug had swung for the fences with a pipe missing her head. Thank goodness for fast reactions. Poor lad swung to hard though causing him to spin a bit with a stumble. By the time he got his footing, Eury had already pushed up from her crouch and was in front of him plunging a dagger into his stomach. The brunette wasn't one to object to taking a life. It was easy to kill when necessary but much harder when not. That explanation is for another time.
Roughly pulling the dagger the man began to fall as she stepped back, only to have a baseball bat chocking her. A thug had luckily gotten behind her to do so, but his dumb luck had run out from there. Another with a knife was running up from in front of her. Oh what's a girl to do? Quickly she flipped the dagger in her right hand so the blade was pointing backwards she jammed it into the bat wielders leg. He howled letting go instantly, with a hard push from her right shoulder she was able to spin to her right just in time for the knife wielder to stab his comrade. Eury had a dangerous tendency of moving at the last possible moment. The knife wielder being momentarily stunned at who he hit gave Eury the opportunity to whip her right leg like a tail smack in the back of his neck. Precision. That would smack him into his friend and both would drop.
~...Alright... haven't really lost it..~
Eury would look towards Oleysa just at the same time as she did, instantly Oleysa would see Eury throwing a dagger in her direction at a high speed. But if Oleysa looked carefully, if her eyes were good she'd notice Eury's eyesight was actually looking passed her, and the trajectory of the dagger it was off a little not aiming for her, but the guy with the sword behind her. Eury would give a smile to the white haired woman with a nod, a symbol of 'I got your back.'

Olesya looked up in time to see the dagger flying at her, though she noticed the young woman's eyes were looking passed her. Her heart jumped for a moment, and she leaned her head to the side to further avoid the flying object, and a strangled cry behind her indicated that the dagger had found its target. She looked behind her as the man fell, the sword falling from his hands. It wasn't an act of mutiny, Eurydice was watching her back.
The battle was picking up momentum, Olesya would soon have no choice but to fall enemies permanently. She frowned, stepping on the dead man's torso and yanking the dagger out of his chest cavity. She also picked up the sword...finder's keepers.
"I think this is yours!"
She shouted humorously, returning the favor by throwing the dagger back in her direction, catching a thug in the throat as he tried to come up on her left side. The man gurgled, dropping to his knees but swinging at Eury anyway with his crowbar. If he was going down, he's want to take her down with him. Meanwhile, Olesya's attention was drawn back to her side as she was flanked by three men.
One had a pipe, one had a dagger, and one had a bat of rough cut wood, probably a table leg. Olesya glanced between them, watching their muscle movements and plotting her strategy as the pipe wielder attacked. He aimed a swing high at her head. She ducked beneath his swing, kicking him so hard in the knee that his leg bent backwards. He howled in pain and crumpled, and Olesya brought the borrowed sword down in a swift arc, beheading him before his body hit the ground.
The dagger wielder was coming at her up until she beheaded the first thug. He hesitated, which gave Les the opening step in, knocking the dagger from his hand with the pommel of her sword. Surprised, the thug clenched his fists and aimed a couple punches at her face and torso. The first two collided with her face, but before the third punch could land, she'd run him through with the sword, stopping him in his tracks. She withdrew her blade, and he, too, crumpled.
The third man, who up until this point had remained in Olesya's peripheral vision, took the opportunity when she was withdrawing her blade to come up behind her and beat her in the back of the head with his table leg weapon. Taken by surprised, she fell forward, leaning on her left arm as she kicked up with her right leg right into his family jewels. The man howled in pain, swinging the table leg back again to hit her but she swung her sword in the same moment, slicing the table leg right in half.
Surprised at losing his weapon and the deaths of his comrades, he tossed the stump at her and attempted to run. She dodged the poorly thrown bit of wood, pushing herself up to her feet and taking off after him. Within five steps she was in range, throwing the sword like a javelin at his back. The 'javelin' met its target, and he fell to the ground.
