Two pills. Generally two pills are enough to keep my heart healthy in a regular fight. I swallowed down four as I ran out of the study, clutching the feather cloak in my hands. Pulling it around my shoulders, I ran for the garage. Mounting my bike, I didn't even wait for the garage door to open fully before launching out. I had been given word by a Dragon messenger. Barker was in the territory. The gate was pulled as they expected my departure and I blasted through it. I didn't wait to see the iron gates shut, though I should have. I sped up to drive even faster hoping I wouldn't arrive too late.

Olesya nodded gravely as Kazuya asked her to confirm his fear. Barker was at the edge of the territory, and his army was most likely not far behind.
"Southern wall. David's there now, as is Kyrie and a bunch of others. We're getting as many and as strong as we can and hiding the civilians in the same houses. When I left he was by himself, but I wouldn't hold my breath."
She frowned, her face set determinedly. She flagged down a passing soldier who was assisting with the evacuation.
"Go find Mathew, tell him we're at the Southern border, near the F-9 outpost. Dismissed."
The soldier nodded, saluting before running off to follow his order. Olesya turned back to Kazuya, rolling her shoulders and clenching her fists.
"If Barker wants to play Hardball, I say let's play."
She growled, taking off back in the direction of the action, leading Kazuya to the location she'd just listed off to the recruit. It was a reasonable distance if you were talking, but at their running speed, was only about five minutes.

Bastille watched the scene calmly, her crimson eyes taking everything in. She was in no danger, ....immediately at least. It seemed she was being ignored, and she liked that. She stayed where she stood and kept her hand on the hilt of her sword....And with little nod to the battle tiers moved out of the way to go lean against a wall somewhere. She would observe, trying to understand their style....
Besides, she was a close range fighter without her qi....
Kyries act and Mitsoumi's comment made Bastille's bored frown inset a bit. She didn't like that...at all. But she stayed where she stood, watching the seen with an apathetic look. There was something she needed to know...

Levi rushed to the source of the enormous Qi along with several others that seemed to be in combat. It didn't take him long to reach the scene by rooftop as he stopped on an overlooking rooftop in time to watch Barker sink into Kyrie's shadow. David was there, which was a relief, but attacking Barker without some understanding of what he was capable of seemed like a bad idea.
"I finally found you...."
Levi glared at the man he had been searching for since that day in Japan. His arms folded and his brow furrowed as the day Barker attacked played back in his head, in vivid detail. For now Levi would study the man known as Barker.

Alarm shot down her spine, and Kyrie automatically let go of Mitsoumi's ankles, watching as he sank into the shadow with her. Despite her wide eyes and the rapid stream of French curses coursing through her mind, she mentally braced herself. For she knew something Mitsoumi didn't.
While she could still act, she drew one of her daggers and attempted to plunge it into his knee to hamper his mobility.
As soon as the man sank fully into his own shadow, both occupants were abruptly ejected, as there was no more shadow to support their stay upon the shadow plane. Regardless of whether her strike was true or not, the blonde rolled across the shoulder she clutched the weapon with, her other hand bracing herself upon the ground.
She was so used to the disorienting lurch that recovery was fast, even though this was slightly different than her normal exit from shadows.
"He can enter the shadows!" She called out, informing the group. He was either a shadow-user himself, or...or he was a copycat.
Her gaze was cool and focused, and she would immediately lock back onto Mitsoumi, eyes bright and calculating. If she had managed to strike him she would lunge forward with a quick burst of speed and leap. Her intention: land with both feet, either planting them into his stomach if he was on his back, or high up onto his shoulders to smash his face into the pavement, if he was on his stomach.

"... I knew it."
A grave look on his face, while Olesya flagged down a passing soldier and asked him to pass a message onto Mathew, Kazuya would re-adjust his equipment, adjust his fingerless leather glove on his left hand and make sure his twin katanas were tightly secured on his back. Turning his eyes to Olesya after the soldier ran off with his orders, he'd wordlessly respond to her by engulfing his entire body in fire, a fire burning equally in intensity in his eyes.
"... I will fight him until my last dying breath!"
He would growl, taking off after Olesya, running at only half of his full speed, so he would not end up outrunning Olesya and leave her in the dust, literally.

David Watched Mitsoumi sink into the Shadow- and his arm would follow. He would aim to palm this being by the head, tear him out of the shadow, and hulk smash him violenty into the cement repeatedly. These two were seemingly unaffected by his and Kiyr's attacks....and he didn't like that. So he would kick Mitsoumi in the side if his initial attack worked, then leap for Barker, Drawing his sword as he did so and aiming a downward cut for Barkers left arm, hoping to cut it off. Even if nothing happened when he hit, the resulting force would cause a blast of wind and dust to crash backward into everyone present, signaling the battle between the two of them. OOC: I'll watch this more closely...didnt even know it was my turn.
