Mathew began to pace around both young men in silence. His hands still clasped behind his back. He had told Destiny that he would help him, not the new kid. But if Kazuya had really inducted him then both were Dragons, which meant it was in his interest to make them both stronger. Though not too strong. Not yet at least.
Try to imagine yourself alone in a black void. No thoughts, no feelings. Just you and the void. In that void try to build a flame in the darkness.

Standing behind both of the young men he let stone move up his bare feet and over his body silently. Letting them focus and concentrate. Similar as he had done with Rai.
"Block out all distractions, there is nothing but you, the void, and the flame."
He said as he raised both arms up, pointing a palm at each of their backs before two thin pillars of stone, no thicker than a quarter each shot out at the backs of the young men. Attempting to not only hurt them, but to make them lose their focus. Though he may have shot the pillars out with more force than he used on Rai and Kiyr. They WERE bugging him after all.

Destiny grunted from the pain of the pillar in his back. He struggled to keep his flame in the void lit, without thinking of the stone attempting to penetrate him from behind.

The fact that they didn't outwardly react was impressive. Maybe they did have potential to rise above the normal mooks that seemed to make up the bulk of most forces. Maybe they had what it takes to rise up and be one of those special people that drive events.
He would strike them again! This time over the backs of their heads.
"Focus.". He warned.

This was harder than it looked, but Jamal sat their and took it. The flame in his mmnd burned so bright that he was pretty sure his head was now on fire. That or he had a concussion.

Cain struggled. He wasn't sure how he was supposed to focus when his head felt like it was bleeding, but he did the best he could. Burning the void with all his mental might.

Mathew gave them both another blow for good measure. But he was honestly impressed that they were taking it silently. It showed real dedication and promise.

The flame almost disappeared, but somehow Jamal managed to keep it illuminated. He focused and allowed it to burn the brightest he could ever imagine. Truly, it was a remarkable day.
