For awhile Eury wouldn't turn to Oleysa but listened fully to the woman's words. Though her mind was filled with her own thoughts the words still broke through. It was easy to understand that Oleysa experimented on. A product of Barker's doing. Her symptoms may have sounded the same but the difference was Oleysa knew what happened to herself, Eury hadn't the faintest clue just mere speculations. It could've been Barker but what if it wasn't. Leon's assumption was Barker based on the thoughts of Barker probably wanting to hurt him. Barker was the major powerhouse, the big player in the world that stood in the spotlight but that didn't mean there wasn't those that lurked in the shadows. The shadows weren't always empty, they were filled with mysteries still unexplored. Eury had her demons not as many as most but they were there. She was connected to enough people that it could've been someone from her own past but the answers seemed to have no intentions of presenting itself anytime soon.
The slight tinge of pain was easily readable in her voice. Eury never meant for this day to go this way, especially not to make her relive anything she may be right now. Oleysa's words and offer was taken into consideration but trusting someone unknown with her body was more than likely not going to happen. Eury had been poke and prodded years ago and for a girl who hates needles it's funny the few tattoos she got. Oleysa was still a new budding friendship even with the reminder to her sister Lily, but life had a funny way of doing things. People changed when you least expected it. The brunette was trying not to be paranoid about it and allow herself to fall into this potential friendship. If it was Kilik making the offer of a doctor he found she would probably take the offer, yet still be a bit weary because she never met them. Besides again, who's to say it was Barker's doing? What if it had to do with Eury's use of psy energy? What if something horrible happened and she was blocking it out? There was so many questions, so many possibilities. She knew she could control her power again she just hadn't really tried to lately out of fear. After all one night she had woke up from a mere dream and found her room in shambles and she was just thankful she was alone. Her mind couldn't deal right now it actually was starting to hurt. She breathed in the air and let out a smooth breath, speaking with the utmost calming voice.
"Sorry if I made you relive anything. I could hear it in your voice, it wasn't my intention of having things go this way. Your offer...I'll take it into consideration no offense but I've had enough of people I don't know treating me like a lab rat.. And that's besides the fact that I'm unsure if it was Barker, it's mere speculation. A bit logical yes but still, after all I have my own past that could easily still be haunting me..."
She closed her eyes and breathed out again in a way like releasing the negative out to be carried off into the wind for now. Turning back to Oleysa, she'd come back and gently take her seat again. Oleysa had her turn with questions and now Eury had one or a few of her, though she was not obligated to answer her. Eury wouldn't use an eye for eye phrase here.
"Again I apologize.. but let me ask you something if you don't mind.. Earlier there were things that I couldn't help but notice in her mannerisms and speech... The way you spoke of being a single mother, I don't know call me crazy it just felt a bit more. Like it wasn't necessarily that way in the beginning. Is there something you might want to get off your chest?"
She would be willing to listen as Oleysa did to her. Though if she chose not to speak on it, then she would leave it alone and move on. But suddenly something struck her, took her longer to think on it than usual but she realized why hadn't she checked out her own blood? She knew the science but she needed the equipment. Eury knew where to go but it was a matter if the place had power. It was doubtful but maybe she could do something with help. Help if Leon would get back soon. For now she'll leave it in the back of her mind.

"Oh, it's alright...I mean you gotta roll with the punches right?"
She smiled, trying to keep the mood from getting too serious. That wasn't how you built friendships! She listened to her speak, nodding when appropriate. She didn't want to force her help on Eury, but the offer was out there, and that was the point.
"Oh, Maddie...yes..."
She glanced back to the house, but Maddie was inside playing with her new kitten.
"I adopted her recently. I originally met her when I was in high school and she was much younger. She'd an orphan, and was living in the run down orphanage after the bombs fell. I rescued her and three other girls, and found homes for them. Maddie stayed with me."
She was open about her adoption of Maddie. For all intents and purposes, Madelyn was her daughter. Family wasn't always all about blood.

"We live with the scars we choose."
That phrase was true in many ways, and a big reason it was tattooed on the side of her stomach. Eury looked at Oleysa certainly realizing maybe her words were a bit cryptic. She didn't think they were but anyone could decipher things differently from the next. The conversation was indeed getting a bit serious and she easily noted Oleysa's attempt at preventing it. But Eury couldn't fully shake that sudden rush that came over her. Things of that nature was only getting worse as the bear kept getting poked. She remained as calm as she could and for certain kept her hands near her person now, folding them over her chest. It wasn't sure how much longer Eury would stay just because she was concerned about it happening again. But for now she placed a smile to save face. There was some similarities between them even adopting a young girl except Elena's adoption wasn't because she was homeless.
"My oldest is adopted more or less. Though the situation was far different from Maddie's.."
Eury didn't feel like going into it. Because Elena's parents were like the parents Eury wished she had. The memory was painful. She brushed it off and kept the smile, glancing towards the inside of the house and back to Oleysa.
"So about that piano?..I think I can help with that."

To people she didn't know, Olesya simply introduced Maddie as her daughter. They didn't need to know that she was adopted. Family was family, and sometimes blood wasn't as thick as some people thought it was.
Olesya blinked as Eury changed the subject, not connecting the dots at first. Piano...? OH! The kitten thing, Oliver and Company. Oh, Maddie would fire off like a rocket if she'd heard Eury right now. The thought brought a smile to Olesya's face.
"Oh, you play?"

Eury would smile towards Oleysa. It had been awhile since Eury sat at the piano and simply played a tune. Well she was supposed dead for two years so of course it had been. But no even before that she really hadn't. It was weird it was a piece of her, just like her art. Wow she was starting to slowly realize how much of herself she had lost.
"Heh yeah I do..Actually I might be able to get you an upright piano. All depends if the place is still standing.. It's the least I could do..She seemed really excited about it..Besides it'll give her something to do and learning an instrument is always a nice thing. I think you know that well, no."

"I can play guitar, but never really took to piano for some reason."
Music had been a passion of Olesya's for years, she was even part of a band for some time before things got...complicated. She moved, her friends left, she went crazy...all sorts of things that pushed music into the background. She missed it terribly, maybe introducing Maddie to music would be a nice change from all this self defense and high tension.

Softly Eury smiled and nodded.
"Yes I believe you did mention playing the guitar... I took up both for the differences in possible melodies."
Music always seemed to have a way to be uplifting in times like these. Eury heard music often since near her home every so often there was a street festival, oh and the gypsy's she met. They were a fun bunch to be around.
"Well like I said maybe I could get you that piano for her.. And I'm not doing too much so if you like I could teach her. I'm sure I still have some books somewhere.. Maybe it will do you both some good hmm? Do you still have a guitar?"

"I'm sure Maddie would love that."
Olesya agreed, grinning. She hadn't had anything to do with music since high school, she missed it a lot.
"Uh, no. I lost my guitar years ago, even before I left high school. never really got a new one, you know? I Haven't really had time."

[OOC: Apologies]
Eury would smile nodding in agreement to Maddie possibly loving the idea. Eury never really felt like she had a ton of friends so it was good that she felt she was making a really good one in Les. Though there was always doubt in Eury's mind of everyone. Thoughts of any kind of betrayal and thoughts of anything happening to them because of her. That was something she couldn't and wouldn't handle well. It was always why she had proceeded with caution, but allowing herself to be with Leon opened her to the world of letting people in despite the thoughts. But they were present almost heavily again considering she was a bit unsure of herself. This wasn't going to stop her from doing something nice for Les and Maddie. Eury's eyes trailed off for a moment and then landed back on Les.
"Well that settles it then."
Eury graciously stood up from her chair with a big smile. At least the atmosphere went back to something more lighthearted than before.
"I think music needs to be brought back into your household; into your life. I'm sure it would do you well and give you something to relieve your stress. I'm not exactly busy so don't be surprise if one day you find some presents when you come home. And hush it.."
Playfully pointing her right index finger at Les.
"Don't you say a thing. Don't you say no. I'm doing it even if you say no."
With a warm smile Eury would extend the rest of her fingers so she was looking like she was giving Les a hand to accept for a shake.
"Thanks for the lunch and sorry about the serious tone it took. I look forward to more meetings. If you need anything let me know."

Olesya did open her mouth to protest, though promptly shut it again when Eury shushed her. Les was very bad at accepting gifts, not that she didn't want them or didn't like them, but rather that she didn't deserve them. However, being a friend meant giving each other small gifts from time to time to show you care...right?
She was still getting used to the concept of friends.
"Thank you. I...really appreciate it."
She smiled (a genuine smile!) and stood up to clasp Eury's hand. Achievement unlocked: Make a friend. +5 GP

Well that would be something that most certainly had in common, the fact that neither of them were so well accepting of gifts. Though on the other hand Eury was pretty good at giving gifts. It was a trait of hers constantly giving more than she took if she took anything at all, which to be truthfully she normally did not. Some, for some odd reason may not believe it, but Eury was quite selfless. Her thoughts her mainly full of concerns for others. Others that were connected to her in some form or another. Her beloved ones most of all. Normally she never trusted so easily, as slightly different as she was now that factor hasn't changed, though maybe has waivered just a slight bit for this occasion. Maybe it was the similarities between the two woman or maybe it was the brief interaction with Maddie that made her compelled to this. Or maybe it was a mixture of both paired with her strong sense of family bonds. She smiled warmly (genuinely too! ) after a little well needed laugh as they both firmly shook hands. Both might've not been the best at making friends but that made them all the more perfect to try with each other. It took Eury some time in the past but she had gotten a small knack for it, yet still held a reserve of sorts. "Anytime. Heh yea I'm not so good on the receiving end either. We'll never really get used to it I suppose. It's just in our nature. I should say bye to the little princess before I go disappearing, though I'm sure she's fully occupied with your new addition to the family."Her hand would finally release Les's still holding onto that smile as she awaited to follow, but firstly she picked up a few items from the table that she could carry. The least she could do before completely leaving was help Les clean up unless she protested against it.

Olesya smiled, thankful she was helping her bring in the dishes, there were enough where it would have been an armful to do it herself. She led the way back into the house, holding the door open for Eury to walk in. She'd walk into the kitchen, placing the dishes on the counter. She'd deal with them after Eury had left.
"Maddie!"
She called up the stairs where giggling could be heard.
"Come say goodbye to Miss Eury!"
A closed door and the pattering of footsteps from the hallway to the stairs announced the little girl's arrival. She was beaming like a child at Christmas. She approached Eury and gave her a hug around the middle.
"Thank you Miss Eury! Goodbye! Come back soon okay? I want to teach Oliver piano."

Naturally Eury followed behind Les. She gave her a 'thank you' nod for holding the door as she stepped passed only to pause to place a foot against the bottom edge of the door to allow Les to continue on forward. Into the kitchen the pair went and she placed the dishes in her own hand near the ones Les placed down. Did Eury want to protest into helping her clean it all up? Sure. But if they were alike as they seemed there was no doubt Les would insist otherwise and it would be a back and forth of 'no I insist', 'no it's ok'. To avoid all that the brunette would leave it alone as it was. Silently Eury walked out the kitchen as Les called for Maddie. The little girls giggling easily audible and quickly rushed through Eury's core. The pitter patter sound of her running made Eury's heart pause. ~ I remember
those sounds.~ For a moment memories flowed through her so vividly. Remember the sounds of her children's laughter filling the house when they were younger than Maddie. There little feet hitting against the floor as they ran around usually chasing each other or being chased by her or Leon. Eury maintained the control over her emotions as she Maddie came before her giving her such a warm hug. How much Eury was missing that was beyond words. She wrapped her arms around the young girl embracing her back with the warmest of smiles. Her heart was breaking more than anyone knew. She might've explained a bit to Les but words just would not do it justice.
~How I miss this.~
Keeping her composure she would pull Maddie away from her gently and poke her in her nose with a chuckle.
"You bet. Oliver will be the first piano playing kitten in no time. I'll try and come back when I can, for now be good as you can be. Take care of little Oliver. You might get a surprise from me when you least expect it. And don't run off from your mom again you don't want her hair turning all grey now so soon."
Purposely Eury glanced up to Les with a cheeky smile considering the color of Les's hair currently. Looking back at Maddie, she'd ruffle the hair of the young girl and look at Les one more time.
"I guess I should leave you two ladies to your devices now. It was good being in this kind of setting than before. Though that was still fun. Heh alright let me not overstay my welcome. Nice meeting you Maddie."
If they walked towards the door at any point, once there Eury would pause and turn to Les.
"Thanks for listening and trying to give me a bit of a boost back there. Maybe next time we can just get to know more about each other without all that. After all we can practice this whole friendship thing with each other."
With a warm smile Eury extended her hand once more. She didn't have that much experience with making friends easily and it seemed Les might've been the same. There were similarities that they were bound to find if they kept meeting and chatting. Once everything was all said and done Eury would finally take her leave. Back to her big lonely home.

"You really think so?!"
Maddie asked, stars in her eyes as she pictured her little kitten playing the piano like the animated kitten in the movie. She beamed, squeezing Eury around the middle in a second hug.
"Thank you! I'll be good, I promise. See you again soon!"
The joke completely lost on the little girl (though Les was smirking), she would wiggle out of the woman's arms and race back upstairs to where her kitten was waiting for her. Les watched her go, shaking her head. It'd be difficult to get that girl back down for dinner or ready for bed. It was worth it though to see her so happy.
"Yes, definitely. I'm...still recovering from some things, so I apologize if anything I say or do seems out of place or awkward. I'm working on it."
She chuckled, not too worried about it. It was clear that she and Eury had a lot in common, so friendship was only a natrual step from there. She'd walk her to the door, a genuine smile in place. She'd shake Eury's hand, her smile widening slightly.
"You're welcome over anytime."
