Silk was pretty pissed off. She was right at her breaking point. Everyone had it, that line that you cross when you decide that you wanna murder someone painfully slow. Silk had been there tons of times before, but nothing had ever pushed her this close. Bandit was like a child to her. Granted, it wasn't very motherly to go hurling him about as she did, but she considered it their bonding time. For some lame ass to just walk up and shock her poor little ball of fuzz, well that was unforgivable! Just as she about switched to that realm of no return, the boy from earlier spoke and his voice cut through the hatred that saturated her mind in that moment.
"R-right... alive..."
Silk growled and bit into her cheek causing a little bit of blood to trickle from the corner of her mouth. Self mutilation, that was new. Despite all her suicidal thoughts, Silk had never acted on them and so something as simple as biting into her cheek to prevent herself from killing someone was actually very new. She'd slam the guy against the ground before letting Lucien deal with him as if she were left to it, she'd likely break him apart slowly. Starting with something most men probably wouldn't want to lose. An angry and annoyed growl sounded just before a raged filled scream left her as she kicked at the ground. With a deep breath, Silk's rage drifted away. There she stood, smiling like she had when she strolled up.
Now, this boy might think, she's absolutely mentally unstable... and... he'd be right. Silk would go to the little ball of fluff bundled and singed. She'd walk to her truck while Lucien made his little call. Grabbing up her purse she'd walk back and flop down onto the grass. She'd take out a pair of scissors and begin cutting away the singed fur of her kitten friend. When she was spoken to once again.
"Oh right... Silk Sanada. Silk works just fine though. You should have heard of me, I'm the one and only... ah fuck... no one knows that anymore. Look... point is... I'm dangerous shit. You're lucky your on the right team boyo."
Ah Silk, eloquent as ever. She'd return to trimming her fried cat's fur and even went as far as pulling out some salve and gauze to do some okay first aid on her pet while he was out.

Lucien frowned. This Silk Sanada, she sure was peculiar. But, who wouldn't be angry when their pet just got singed? Lucien conceded that she was probably just frustrated.
"R-right. My name is Lucien DeChain. So, you're ... with the Crows, then? An acquaintance of Delilah, or Marcus perhaps?"

Marcus' name was mentioned and Silk looked up. She stared at the boy trying to remember why she'd decided he had been safe. Her memory as of late wasn't the best. Marcus. Marcus spoke about a young boy that looked like this. That was why she'd trusted him. She gave a nod.
"I'm a crow. I knew the previous head hancho... Kiyoshi."
Silk looked back at her cat.
"But... Marcus is all I have now."
She said that with almost relief. If she had only one person to cling to, she was glad it was him. She gently checked over her feline friend and then wrapped him up gently again and cradled him as if he were like a baby.
"You are going to be so mad when you wake up Bandit."
She smiled at the fried sleeping feline.
"Not even that you got shocked, just that I held you like this. Better get it in while I can."
Her smile was a little sad. Despite how hard she was trying to not be worried about one of her closest furry friends, Silk was terrified. She was worried Bandit might not be alright after this. Though she had done well with what she had, the sooner she got him to Marcus or to a vet would be best.
Her eyes turned to Lucien, no longer showing that weakness she had when looking at the cat.
"So, Kiddo, where to? Do we see Marcus or this.... Delilah?"
That name sounded familiar. Probably another one Marcus had mentioned. Silk was in honesty worried like hell about Marcus right now. She'd prefer them to go to him.
"Or.... do we secure this check point? I am afraid I forget protocols when I realize a few friends might be in danger."

"NO!" The cry went up, defiant, furious on behalf of their leaders, furious that they had been betrayed, deceived. With a fierce grin, the First lowered her raised fist, her voice proud and powerful, carrying all the way to the back rows.
"THE ENEMY MADE A MISTAKE WHEN THEY SET THEIR SIGHTS ON US," She declared. "DID THEY NOT SEE HOW WE LAID WASTE TO BARKER'S FORCE A YEAR AGO?
"DO THEY NOT SEE THE JOY OF OUR CIVILIANS, THE PEACE WE HAVE BROUGHT TO THE HOMELESS, THE ORPHANS, THE OPPRESSED, THE DOWNTRODDEN?
"ARE THEY BLIND TO THE MIGHT OF OUR ARMY, HOW STRONG EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU HAS BECOME IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY, THE RUIN OF THE WORLD THAT THESE MEN BROUGHT UPON US AND THEMSELVES?
"WILL WE STAND FOR THIS? WILL WE WAIT IDLY BY FOR DESTRUCTION AND DEATH TO FALL UPON US AND OUR ALLIES AT THEIR HANDS?""NO!" "WHO ARE WE, WHO WOULD BE SO BOLD TO STAND AGAINST THE INJUSTICE WROUGHT UPON THIS WORLD?""CROWS!!" "THEN IF YOU ARE SO UNDAUNTED, BACK TO YOUR POSTS. SHOW THOSE WHO WOULD SEE US FALL THAT EVEN THESE HUMBLE CROWS ARE NOT TO BE TRIFLED WITH.
"AN EXTRA ROUND OF DRINK FOR EVERY SERVICEMAN AND WOMAN WITH DINNER TONIGHT. YOU ARE DISMISSED."
With a final mixed cheer of anger and jubilation from the crowd, every individual went back to their pre-assigned tasks before the call had went up to gather, whether that was sleeping or patrolling. Delilah let out a long sigh once she was certain she was mostly alone. That was close.
Now, she had to make a report to the Zero--
"Delilah,"
The raven haired mechanic looked up as Nick ran to her side, allowing herself a small look of relief...which quickly morphed into a frown. "What is it? Did something happen?"
"Anaheim is on lockdown; Brother DeChain reported in that they captured one of the fugitives, and that he was claiming John Strike was their 'general'."
At the word 'General', Delilah blanched. 'General'. Arkeus. They were the same.
"--oh God."
"What?" he looked at her pallor with increasing worry, "What, what is it?"
"Get a hold of Lucien, and Marcus if you can. Tell them that the 'Nest area is secure and the masks are a part of John Strike, a literal 'piece' of him. They can see who the insurgents are mentally, though it may be too late to try it where they are."
"Okay...wait, where are you going?"
"I need to report to 'Unfettered' and 'Teal'," she called over her shoulder as she ran toward the 'Nest. "Give me a report when you've made contact with Brother DeChain and Marcus!"

Lucien felt intrusive as he watched the tender moment between the woman and her pet. It felt like something he wasn't meant to see, rather, wasn't meant to be seen.
But, they had work to do, and those kind of moments could be collected after their home was safe. The crackle of the earpiece brought Lucien back to his tactical face, He listened intently, eyes widening.
"Silk Sanada, we need to move. Can we take your vehicle? I have to get to central Anaheim."
If the masks had some kind of power... He could try to find Strike's men? Or Maybe draw them in...

Silk blinked as the boy sounded rather panicked. The worst thing Silk could imagine was that Marcus was hurt. The woman stood up quick enough to make the world spin. She yanked up her purse and nodded.
"Yeah. I'ma put the cat away then give you a hand moving stupid to the trunk."
She rushed for her truck and gently settled the cat in her purse and buckled him into the back seat. Now, the inside of Silk's truck was clean, save for the animal fur. Cat, fox and now husky fur practically wove into the seats now. She'd grab a bunch of rope before she hurried back to Lucien.
By help, Silk meant tie the idiot up and drag him along the ground. She tied his hands and feet as if the man were a hog, then began dragging him to the truck. She could have carried him but it seemed she got some sort of sick pleasure from smacking his head into every tiny rock she could. Once at the truck she dropped the tail gate and picked the heavy man up. With an angry grunt she tossed him into the air and with a heavy thud he landed in the truck.
"Go on, get in."
She began to tie the man down to the bed of her truck. When she was done, it didn't look like he'd be moving at all. With all that done, Silk approached her monster vehicle and jumped into the driver's seat. She waited for Lucien and once he was in she went to start up the truck. There was a pause though. She looked at him with a perfectly straight face. She seemed very serious about something.
"Buckle up."
With that, she stuck the key into the ignition. The truck roared to life. Her foot pressed against the peddle and the engine revved up. Her radio screamed heavy metal. She turned it off quickly before the truck backed up quick enough to give Lucien whiplash. The tires screamed as she tore off down the road. A careful driver Silk was not. Most people avoided riding with her, and now... Lucien knew why.
