"Like I said, I'm not the expert" Bastille just shrugged as the man came stumbling out with the orders. Bastille just chuckled and took her tea.
"Maria Lesstynger, Once Captain of the Amalgam Fleet and now or..well always a ...well never mind" She paused and snickered, snorting a bit as if something was funny. Then she looked up.
"I can call her back into town and meet you in crows territory within the week...I believe she might be closer than either of us think."

Upon receiving his tea, Marcus would Listen as Bastille spoke of a ship captain who may or may not be quite close by. That got the man grinning. It felt like a step in the right direction and that was exactly what he needed right now.
"Then Make it so Madam Bastille! I would love to meet the lady of the fleet at her most imminent convenience." Marcus raised his teacup towards Bastille. "I know it aint done with tea but I figure a toast is in order. This has been so far a REALLY productive conversation."

"I'm glad" Bastille smirked as she sipped her own tea out of the repaired cup.
"now you better drink all that tea- clean cooking water is hard to come by as are tea bags these days" Bastille snickered darkly.

Marcus raised an eyebrow. Did she just Snub him? Or mabey there really WAS a taboo on toasting with tea that he didn't know about? With a dismissive shrug the man sipped at his tea, enjoying the sensation of piping hot warmth running down his throat, into his stomach and moving throughout his body. The flavor as well was pretty enjoyable despite not having the same buzz that Oki's tea had. Never did find out what she made it out of.
"Never was much of a tea drinker I wont lie. Met this one wandering traveler lady who got me hooked on the stuff. Still take coffee in the morning though thank you very much."
Another sip and the man placed his teacup upon the saucer, putting it down in favor of the food the servant brought out which Marcus, having a black whole for a stomach, began to dig into with enthusiasm.
In between bites a thought struck him. He would look back to Bastille. "So. Sekhmet huh?"

Bastille sipped her tea quietly and politely, smirking to herself when he began chowing down on the food. When he said the name her expression didn't change.
"mMm....it seemed appropriate"

Marcus wracked his brains for a moment. "Which one was Sekhmet again?"

She almost...ALMOST...let he face fall right into her tea. SERIOUSLY?! She shot him a pointed look.
"Egyptian Goddess of War...you're lucky most the encyclopedias are nuclear waste otherwise I'd get you a library card."

His confusion was genuine but her reaction was PRICELESS! Marcus found himself chuckling into his biscuit at the look on her face. "Sorry, Egyptian gods were never really my thing back in school. I wasn't exactly what you would call 'studious'. Wasn't till my Senior year that I really started buckling down. More's cause I had to, else I was risking a fat fuckin' fail."
Another sip of tea, another bit of biscuit. Marcus WAS alittle on the hungry side but he knew enough in his travels that there was a certain ceremony in things such as this.

Bastille just smirked. "And here I just skipped class to be more studious....it was always rather ironic. I never did get my high school diploma...had other affairs in Canada, and Africa..."

"Ah, Africa. Come for the adventure, stay for the culture." The man seemed to reminice before a sour expression marred his face. "What the DIDN'T explain in the travel brochure was how everone was going to do their damn best to shake you down for every penny you had. And that's just the government officials. Wasent till I left the cities that I really enjoyed myself."
"Still, Canada huh? I got family up there, whereabouts did you go?"

"All over, destroying a faction of the french black-market scammers. They thought it would be hilarious to attempt, key word- 'attempt', to undermine my black market dealings. Damn sharks learned their lesson- oh and I got a share on an exclusive painting of Catherine the Great of Russia...excellent condition."
Bastille just finished her tea and sighed. "Ah, the good old days"

Bastille just looked up as if this was normal...at least, she thought it was nothing special.
"I...I used to sell historical artifacts on the black market, I also used to collect. Two people tried to shark my bidding war...turns out it was part of a government plot so it worked out in my favor."
