Stained Red (Lucien/Spectators)

Kyrie would eventually step over, mulling over all she had seen. She had no reason to be snarly, even before this bleed-in. So for her, it was just a matter of watching what Lucien would and could do. And he stood up to a lot.

...and continued standing up.

That, in particular, was definitely something she could appreciate.

So when he called out for water, she grabbed her bag from her shoulders and pulled out her water bottle before stepping forward. She didn't know if he wanted to drink--if that was the case then she would make sure he didn't drink too much, too quickly. The petite blonde weaved through the crowd that was beginning to disperse like a ghost, and crouched to press the bottle into Lucien's hand, saying nothing.

The cap was already removed.

August, his red hair wild and unkept, would come over with five men and a stretcher- they were prepared. He would step along side Kiyr and nod before turning his eyes to Lucien.

"Damn if the Elder knock you around like a red headed step child- and trust me, I know what that shits like! Nice fight though dude- we'll get you some help back at the Pharmacy. Lets go."

They would help Lucien onto a stretcher and take him away- Kiyr was more than welcome to follow, if she so desired.

OOC: Should any of the characters in this thread die in the quest, this thread becomes moot and must be redone.

Lucien felt a bottle slide into his hand, looking to the side and seeing Kiyr there. Wasn't she a sight for sore eyes.

Lucien welled up his strength, and lifted the water jug above his face and body, keeping his mouth open as he dumped the water unbiasedly on top of himself. Moments later, he began to feel selectively better, as the water began to slowly heal the superficial portions of his wounds.

He was raised on to the stretcher by August and his men, and he was carried off somewhere to hopefully heal up okay.

What he left behind was his innocence. Anything that was not a warrior had been stripped from him.

The blonde watched the spectacle and, satisfied Lucien didn't intend to guzzle it, stood and weaved through August and his men with a slight nod to them all. She wouldn't follow, not now. Lucien would need treatment and rest.

And aside from that, she had other things to accomplish that demanded her attention over and above flitting around to make sure a friend was okay.

He was in good hands.

with that in mind, she turned and slipped silently away.

I find that I enjoy reading your fights just as much as I adore participating in them against you. You're always clear in what happens to be going where--and on the side I know you're always willing to explain if something doesn't quite make sense to your "foe". In this fight I like seeing David make steps from his intent to make an example out of Lucien - taunting him as if he does not deserve what he seeks - to intrigue while still not quite ready to let go of his views on the Crow he's bleeding in...to a sense of acceptance and even appreciation for Lucien's resolve and drive. Fight progression moves quickly and cleanly, and the mental character development is nice to see.

I have to say, I don't think I've ever actually read any of Lucien's previous fights, so walking in to this with a clean perception made this enjoyable...especially when the difference in Lucien's stats versus David's are highlighted consistently on your end (David does as David pleases, because he has the stats to do so). But, even so, Corey has that way of drawing the best in those he fights out as you've said, because he's also willing to take blows. And Lucien does fight back and land them through determination and drive and the skill and fortitude he does have. Your fight-writing style is clear and it's easy to match up what Lucien does and how he moves versus his opponent(s). I look forward to seeing more from this up and coming Dragon and how he will continue to win favour after this bleed-in.
