Need Anything?

[Leon]

Dionysus, he made his way into the new Dragon area of The Gods old territory. Now the new Dragon Gods or whatever. Dion was curious to see how the new Council member was adjusting, and if they would need some help adjusting, or maybe some advice. So he'd go to the main entrance and tap on the large wooden door with his wine glass cane.

Dionysus dark blood red hair offset the pale green armor he wore. Strapped to his sides on his belt were two Rattan Sticks. He wasn't dressed for combat, just dressed normal, especially for a Greek God. Prepared for the incoming and possibly outgoing attacks soon.

[Kyrie Blaze]

The Council Member in question was quietly working. Not only was she working on continued learning on the groups the Dragons had allowed to merge with them, but also brushing up on the lore. And not only was she learning, but she was also striving and working very hard to keep herself from randomly crying.

Currently, she was working on keeping the lump in her throat down. Because if she lost that, she would have to stop to either cry or compose herself.

When the knock came she jerked, the echo of the empty enclave letting her know someone was there.

'...why now..? What now?'

Drawing in a slow breath and purposefully smoothing her expression to careful composure, she stood from her desk in her study and moved forward. She didn't bother with Godly garb for now. With all the chaos going on around them...she was better off remaining prepared. With quiet footsteps she made her way to the main area and looked towards the door, her eyes slightly glassy.

"Hello. How may I help you..?"

[Leon]

Dionysus looked around leaning on the cane, swirling the wine in it. Hearing the voice of a female his smile would appear, he'd turn to look at the person in question, with his dashing good looks. Only to see... Pain. It was subtle. Near invisible, this woman was good at hiding behind falsities. Dionysus would stand up straight gripping the cane and lifting it as he would walk over. The smile dropping only a little replaced with concern, if only a little.

"No, my lady. How may I help you?"

Dion would state more than ask. He did not wish to bring up the issue he saw in her eyes. The glaze, the glossy window, the tented glass. It was empty, a look that lacked anything that could be called true, and all f it, all of it through her eyes.

~Your eyes sing such a sad tale... Such pain... Such broken pain... Who broke you my lady? Who broke your heart?~

Dionysus would keep his thoughts to himself however.

"I am Dionysus. I have come to see if you need anything. Questions answered, errands run, or if your up to it, a soul to help carry the burden of your troubles."

[Kyrie Blaze]

Those eyes flickered and focused, taking stock of the man in front of her. Greek. Armed. And...concerned. He placed careful emphasis on his words and there was something...drawing about him. And that, she quickly decided, was all the more reason to be aware and treat him with polite restraint.

As it was she was tempted to take a step back, her heart gave a pained flutter and heaped urge upon that instinct. Stubbornly, she didn't move, but looked up at him. Even if he hadn't meant to really let it slip, his last offer had her blinking twice, quickly.

While her gaze didn't sharpen, her internal reaction was to shy away from the offer, and hard. She knew nothing about this man - nothing of his true persona, anyway - other than the fact that he'd taken the title of the Greek God Dionysus, wine and revelry being his claims.

"I thank you for your kind and generous offers, Dionysus." She clasped a fist over her heart and gave a slight bow, then straightened after the courtesy. "My name is Kiyr Barrial."

The blonde paused, just in case the red-head wished to respond or otherwise react...and she was watching.

[Leon]

Dion would wait, watching her formality, returning the salute and bow. Seemed fitting.

"May I call you Kiyr?"

That name kept leaping out at him for some reason.

"Is this level of formality your preference? Cause honestly, I get tired of this crap."

Dionysus would run a hand in his hair.

"If we are giving full names, my name is Dion Regen."

He'd raise the cane to take a good gulp of the wine in the top of the cane.

[Kyrie Blaze]

"Of course you may. I do not wish to be called 'Miss Barrial'." Her head tilted, slowly. Dion Regen. Good to know. She watched as he lifted the cane to take a long pull of the wine.

Blinking, she turned away, heading back towards her small study to settle back at her desk. As she walked, she spoke, glancing back over her shoulder.

"Formality has its uses and places. You are technically a guest in my alcove...and I prefer to treat people with respect. You are free to come with me if you wish."

She didn't favour drinking, but thus far didn't see a problem with it...unless he had too much to drink. Her words were also simple truths that hid layers of meaning beneath.

If he came with , once she settled, she would look up.

"If I may ask, what is it you do..?"

How similar to the actual mythology was he? He'd given her a first and last name, now, so while he was technically a God, he was human. Just like her.

[Leon]

Dion would smile bright and follow along catching her comments.

~So, as a guest she see's formality as a show of respect. So in turn she would wish to be treated with formality in its place. Respecting her.~

Dionysus would follow her to her study and look about for a place to sit, placing a hand on the back of a chair.

"Mind if I sit?"

Depending on the answer he would sit, or stay standing in case it wasn't okay. At which time he would answer.

"Surprisingly, I handle moral and I make sure our treaties, alliances, and agreements are kept. On the side I also throw parties of all sorts. Weddings, formal dinners, coming of age ceremonies, you know the usual."

[Kyrie Blaze]

Respect, yes.

And, depending on the person and circumstances...distance.

It was a useful tool when wielded in such ways. Most times people wouldn't catch the difference. But she was respectful all the same.

"I do not mind, no." She nodded her head a little as she penned a note to the side. She paused as he spoke, looking at him once again so he knew she was listening. She wasn't about to treat him with dismissal as he spoke, but nor did she shove her work aside to converse with him.

"I see. The last part is no surprise. Dionysus is the Greek God of wine and ecstatic revelry, after all. Are there any treaties or alliances I should be made aware of at this point, or any you have been striving to obtain?"

[Leon]

Dionysus would fold his arms.

"Well a friend of mine went scouting out passed California to see if there are groups of resistance to assimilate. The Experiments government will not commit to any help from outsiders, so we've been trying to improve relations with the individual factions."

Dion would look down at the next bit.

"Almost all of it became obsolete after the take over of the new ruling government, Midgard. Almost all factions of resistance have surrendered and gone back to normal lives."

[Kyrie Blaze]

There was a slight furrow to the blonde's brow before it smoothed back out.

"So we are, at least in this general area unless you have managed to sweep across the world, the few that have not surrendered. You said almost all, though. Were there any aside from the groups in California?"

[Leon]

Dionysus would nod.

"Few and far between. Alaska, Japan, Texas, Washington State, New York, Australia, and Egypt."

Dionysus would shake his head.

"None agree'd to joining or forming a truce. Most I've lost contact with since Midgard showed up. If I had to guess, id say the factions here in California is all that's left."

[Kyrie Blaze]

So then.

Kyrie exhaled quietly and nodded her head.

"Do you know anything of Midgard and what John Strike has been doing..? Anything new, at least, that we may not be aware of?"

[Leon]

"Nothing new, just recruiting and testing. setting up his own council of twelve as they call it. Each member seems to rule over a section of the world. Leaving him free to go wherever he wants."

Dionysus would give a slow sigh.

"I can't find any faults with his new government. They have practically eliminated sickness and disabilities. The economy is great and growing, jobs are plentiful... Not to mention they aren't forcing anything on people. People are stepping up voluntarily for everything."
