- Zeke remained quiet, despite himself, and Arden would be the one to deliver the information, again. He shot a look at David, but returned his gaze to his wounded boss. "Takehiro wanted to make amends for the incident with Shugo, as well as offer his services, should you require them for anything. Well, he was going to offer his services either way, just, the whole Shugo thing happened out of nowhere." He sighed, shaking his head. "Basically, kind of an alliance, thing. Seems like you guys got a lot of crap to deal with, and he wanted to help."

He watched the man.
"Your upset I put him here, aren't you."
He was not mocking, but just watching them both.

- "Well you can't tell me you're happy with what happened to your friend!" Arden snapped, looking David in the eye now. He tried to hold back his animosity, but he couldn't help it. The battle with Shugo was Shugo's fault entirely. Takehiro came here to make up for it, and in turn he ends up in a hospital with no chance to express his apologies, or intentions? "He wants to help, damn it."

David nodded.
"I believe you. The lesson wasn't for what he did to Shugo. It was how he treated him after."
He turned to look at Tak.
"Tak was stronger, and left Shugo alive. I am thankful for that. But he left a Dragon, a man I love as a brother, with a broken spine in the middle of the street. My people are all wanted as terrorists, for no other reason than a disagreement with someone else entirely. If Shugo would have been killed, I would have had no choice but to take this mans life."
He turned to look back at Arden.
"You can blame me for putting your boss in this position. You can blame circumstance. You can even blame Shugo. But the truth is, Takehiro should have done one of two things- been stronger, or treated his fallen adversary honorably."
He didn't say he could have broken Taks back, or left him out there in the dust...but it was very plain and in front of their faces. David treated his opponent well, regardless of his victory.

- Arden and Zeke both kept their mouths shut. They knew how he'd messed up there, but they also knew how much he was beating himself up about it. Sure, it could have caused a battle (especially with their affiliation) but he could have gotten in to Shugo's manor and back with no problem. At least, that's what he'd told himself several times since the fight.
- "So what are you going to do?" About their boss. About the talk. About this whole situation. The question encompassed a lot.

He tilted his head a little.
"What do you expect? Are you worried I would kill you and Mr. Amakusa?"
He sat in a chair.
"Stop worrying. I will speak to him when he awakes. If I plan to kill any of you, you will have a weapon in your hand, and you will die as warriors. So relax."

- That wasn't either of their prioritized concerns, if they were to be honest. They were more worried about the whole purpose of coming here being lost after the fight. "If I wasn't so aggravated, I'd say you're a good man." He acknowledged it. Zeke did. Takehiro realized it since their fight began.
- Arden took a seat next to Zeke, and they'd sit and wait until Takehiro came to.

David gave a small smile.
"Depends on the mood you find me in."
In other words- thanks. He would turn to look at Tak, waiting for the man to come awake.

- A good deal of time would have passed, as was to be expected from the beating Takehiro took. Hours would have passed, and his men would not have left his side for a second. They sat their, waiting, confident their boss wasn't fully out of commission, though Zeke was terrified, after the last parts of the fight he caught. However, after close to five hours, Takehiro's eyes opened slowly. At that second, Arden and Zeke stood to their feet, relieved.
- Takehiro smiled at his men, and would look around the room for David. As soon as he spotted the man, he would offer him a smile as well. "You're too kind," he'd begin before coughing up a lung. Not literally.

David had sat about ten minutes before Tak woke up, and when he did he leaned forward a little.
"The next time you fight a good man, and break him as you did, remember my kindness, big man."
He stood. Time for a little lie, to test this mans allegiance.
"I know who you represent, Takehiro. Tell me why you are here."
David had no idea who or if Tak represented anyone. But he determined that the man acting alone was unlikely. If, however, he was alone...then he would smile and tell the man it was a test. But until then...

- "Noted." He should have done this for Shugo. Maybe then the fight could have been avoided.
- With David's next statement, Zeke went mentally crazy again. "What?! How does he know?! Fuck - we never said anything!" His face remained stoic, however, and Arden cast him another glance to shut the fuck up. The giant simply continued to smile. It didn't matter who he worked for - though he would prefer it hadn't been obvious, given the relationships between the two factions - his intentions would not have changed. "I would have liked to offer you my services, Mr. Blaze. An alliance, of sorts, but I would ask very little of you. Simply a chance to earn your trust."

David massaged his left hand.
"And who is it I'm aligning myself with. You, or your leaders?"

- "Me." It was hard to seem confident and reassuring when basically your entire torso was no longer functioning, but he spoke honestly.

David brought his hands behind his back, then turned to the two men sitting at the foot of Taks bed.
"Leave us, would you? And none of your...abilities."
Meaning the telepath guy needed to stay out.

- The two looked at each other, skeptical, then passed a reluctant glance David's way. After a moment of thought, they both nodded, exiting the room. To reiterate David's point, Arden elbowed Zeke in the side, in case he was thinking of listening in once the doors were shut. They were out, and it was just their broken boss with the man who crushed him.
