"You do have a point...I guess I was putting the cart before the horse, eh?"
Chocolate hues glanced up as well as a man in a business suit walked by, dropping a few coins in his box. Now that was nice of him, taking a moment out of his time to help acheive a stranger's dream. He didn't have to reach into his pocket, he could have just kept walking on by pretending that they weren't here, but he didn't. And that was what mattered, really.
"Humanity really is an unpredictable thing."
She noted vaguely, her mind churning with the spur of philosophical thoughts of a simple action, not even bothering to try to put it into words, as she knew she probably couldn't.

With a light laugh at the last comment Chihiro made about being unpredictable Cliff shook his head slightly as he quickly analysis what that comment meant for her way of life. From the start Cliff had a feeling that this girl was in extreme pain for some kind of reason, but then again everyone is high school is the same way. Yet with that comment at a businessman giving out small charity to a few high school students seemed to of had a profound effect on her. Guess it was time to dig ever deeper into her thoughts without being notice.
“When you look at the entire picture people aren’t as unpredictable as you would think, but mainly people never fail to live up to your expectation.”
With a slight pause Cliff then added, “Especially if they are low exception.”

"Well sometimes they can hit lower, far lower than you expect."
She replied slowly, tilting her head forward just enough to let her raven strands fall in her face like a curtain, hiding her expression. What Karel had done was far lower than any decent person could expect, and though he seemed to change by givin her the memory disc with the incriminating offense on it, it still meant nothing. She would get her revenge.
"When people give selflessly as that man just did, or strive for a wholesome goal like you are, it sort of gives a little hope to our doomed society."
She didn't mean to sound so morbid, she had been feeling odd lately. Insanely happy, mostly when she was around Aureus, to drastically pessemistic and hopeless, yet oddly philosophical.

Repeating what she Chirhiro said in a from of a question Cliff inquire, “A doom society?”
After he said that tiny smirk came on his face barely noticeable as he continue to gauge the personality of his current companion sitting next to him. It appears that she has a similar perspective of the world as he use to do, but if at all possible in a darker shade.
Then asking in a rhetorical voice already knowing the answer he is about to receive and what the right is Cliff asked, “Chirhiro, what makes this society so horribly lost where the only specks of hope come from a green hair bum sitting on the side walk accepting a few coins from a business man? Is everything really that hopeless?”

"Because, Cliff, that green haired bum and that selfless business man didn't do something that was unforgivable. They don't shatter lives just because they can. Decency itself it what gives this world hope, and the two of you are simply examples of what little decency is left."
Her face was still hidden by her curtain of hair, but her tone was obvious. She was angry, her voice shaking the slightest as she repressed these feelings. Feelings she'd been holding onto, frusteration of not being able to do anything about it. Because even though it looked as though she had won with the inch by inch square resting in her pocket, he had still been in charge of the situation up to the last moment. He chose to give her the disc, he chose to disappear into the crowd..she had had nothing to do with it. She was still out of control with things. And it made her angry.
And what's more, she was spilling it all to someone she didn't even know, who was simply there to get money for a violin, and she was dampening his day with her problems. She bitg her lips together, to keep from saying anything more, or even worse, start spouting appologizes for something she wasn't sure she was actually doing.

Hearing this sudden out burst along with everyone else around the area, Cliff did his best to hide his grin at the outburst he caused for his own purpose. It may not be very gentleman-like of him to continue indirectly pushing her, but in the greater scheme of everything it had to be done sooner or later.
That’s right. Let your frustration and anger follow from your sprit and mind so you may become free.
In a lower serious tone to intensify what he was about to say, Cliff then said, “Nothing is unforgivable. You may not be able to forgive the person that has done the action anytime soon, but you are always cable of forgiving yourself for the incident.”

"I cannot forgive myself because I allowed it to happen."
Her tone was low and grave, and her hands shook slightly where they rested in her lap. And it was true. She could have done anything in her power to stop him. Scream, thrash, bite, and yet she didn't. Aureus might not thin k it weas her fault that what happened to her happened, but it was. And Karel knew that, and that was what he drew his strength from. She could control nothing, she could do nothing.
In a movement she clenchd her fists in front of her, dark eyes staring down at them. She needed to make herself stronger to overcome this. She needed to make him pay for wat he did, and maybe that way she could finally be forgiven.
"The only way I can do to redeem myself is to make him pay for what he did. Bring vengence in the hope that I can be forgiven."

Shaking his head slightly at the comment Cliff analysis the next series of comments that came out. Obviously something bad happen to her, and also obvious was that she found herself to weak to do anything. What was a small relief was that she already knew what she had to do, but unfortunately her thinking was not the best. True she knew what she had to do and had a motivation to push her, but her current motivation would end up leaving her feeling even more emptier and hurt then the current.
In any circumstance Cliff cannot question the motive of now because in her current state she would be more prone to getting angry at him, which would provide the exact opposite result.
In a low voice directed towards her intent, “To truly be able to forgive yourself you need something much greater then vengeance, but in its own right it can grant you that and anything else you want.”
Taking a quick breath Cliff continues before she could comment, “What you need to truly forgive yourself of all your sin, and to accomplish whatever is set in front of you is power. Not physical or intellectual power, but spiritual power to take control of your life completely.”

Chi let out a short 'huh' of a laugh. It sounded so easy, and yet completely cryptic at the same time. She needed to be spiritually strong...alright.
"And how do you suppose I do that?"
She asked, turning her head in his direction enough that her heair shifter slightly she so could see him and he could see her. She didn't mean to sound critical, or angry, or hopeless, it just seemed to all come out that way. She knew feeling like this was unhealthy for her, she wasn't an idiot, but she had yet to find a way to get out of this without damaging any more lives. She didn't want to hurt Aureus, but she knew that her being hurt hurt him a lot, and that only hurt her even more. Grah...hurt, pain, she wanted it to go away. The junior frowned slightly as she became lost in her thoughts again for a moment until the green haired boy spoke upi again.

With a grin Cliff turn his head so he could see Chihiro’s confuse and yet despite face, “Well I can tell you the first step to being free only you can do, but after that you have to seek my help if you truly want to be truly free from your cage.”
As soon as he said that a young skinny gothic sophomore appeared in front of the Cliff. With a big smile of victory the student said, “Cliff where have you been?” Then looking to Cliff’s side the smile grew even bigger as he added, “Heh, June is going to be so made at you if she knows what you are doing now. She is upset enough just being away from you.”
Looking back at the sophomore at first with a hit of disgust and then cover it with a smile that bleed I’m going to kill you later, “Well I will tell June that she does not need to know where I am all the time. Got it?”
Bringing his hands up to his chest and waving as if saying don’t look at me the gothic kid said, “Well Cliff you should know how extremely busy we are with the preparation we can use your help now.”
With a sigh of defeat Cliff then got up from his seat and brush himself off almost completely forgetting about Chihiro, but giving her plenty of time to speak up.

A few things confused Chi. First of all, were the green haired boy's words. She had to go see him to finally forgive himself? What, was he a priest or something? At first she got a bit mad, he had nothing to do with what was going on in her life, he couldn't fix anything. But as she was about to speak up, another figure appeared, clad in black and spikes.
So, Chi simply paused, her mouth slightly open from when she was going to speak as she watched them converse. What an odd conversation. And just like that the boy made to go and Cliff got up to go with him...just like that. A curiously confused expression passed over the girl's face. Was he not even going to say goodbye?
"Umm...?"
Was all she could muster, as she had temporarily lost the ability to put together coherent sentences at all this confusing information trying to push its way into her troubled brain.

As he grabs all of his money he had collected Cliff heard Chi making a noise of wondering. With a smile Cliff face the new comer and said, “Hey, Kurt why don’t you head back now and tell everyone I will be there in a few minutes. I have to take care of something.”
With a quick nod the sophomore did not say anything more as he dash down the sidewalk and quickly disappear from them. Walking towards Chi, Cliff squatted down so his face was level with hers.
With a gentler carefree smile Cliff more lightly, “The first step to gain complete control over your life is to first face your greatest fear, and come out with everything that has happen and that’s on your mind. That will lighten your load so you can start your journey of self-discovery and self-empowering. After you start that long hard journey it will be hard to stay on track without locating a guide that has been to your destination before.”
With a quirky smile Cliff then added, “The best place to find your guide is to hang out at the courtyard inside the school and listen to the people around you and find out what they believe is going on. Listen to everyone, but do only what your instincts are urging you to do. Do you understand what I just said?”

Chi watched curiously as Cliff told the boy to go on without him. Not surprisingly, she recoiled slightly as her got close to her and crouched to her level. Getting close to people she didn't know still unnerved her. But she listened nonetheless. At first she thought his words were wise, then a bit too philospohical, then curious. The school courtyard? ...That was interesting. Maybe she would check it out sometime, maybe. Especially since he said that it might help her. It soundeda s if people were gathering to voice their ideas, and she could always use suggestions.
"I might."
She said, before slowly getting to her feet, making sure she didn't physically get any closer to him. She didn't want to make any promises, but then again, she might show up, just like she said.
"It was nice to meet you, Cliff. Thanks for the advice."
She added in a sort of goodbye, knowing that he had to be getting to his meeting, or whatever it was he had to do.

Watching as she got up from her seat Cliff nodded as she made her parting comment. Whatever her problem is Cliff could not really care less just as long as she gets over it so she could become a true force to come to terms with, even if it might be against him. In any case more powerful players to the game at the school makes things even more fun and interesting. After all Cliff did not want to get bored just as his game was getting started.
With a passive smile Cliff kept his eyes on Chi as she got up. After her last parting comment Cliff then added, “Remember Chirhiro, the thing we fear the most is losing the one thing we love the most. Confront what you cherish the most and let go. Only then can you begin to spread your wings.”
After that comment Cliff got up to his feet and with a short wave with his right hand Cliff said, “Until next we met.”
After that Cliff would be walk down the sidewalk with his box filled with spare change towards his home base to prepare for the future.

The dark haired senior started at Cliff's comment. 'Confront what you cherish the most and let go. Only then can you begin to spread your wings.' Aureus, no! That was one bit of advice that she rejected wholeheartedly. She was fighting to keep him, and now the green haired stranger was telling her to let go of what she cherished most? No way. Subconsciously her right hand fell to her left, fingers enclosing over the silver and diamond ring on her hand. No way, she told herself, You're wrong, I can spread my wings without losing Aureus. He helps me do that.
With a small nod, she placed her hands in her pockets and continued on her way up the road toward her house, her mind churning, the clouds alternately invading and uninvading her thoughts.
