John would be putting his leather chest plate back over his shirt when he turned towards Aryn.

John would distract himself for a moment to tell a Legend of the black fire.
"Well to begin, The Black Fire is known as Amaterasu's Light, or the Undying Flame. It burns so hot that it can even burn and extinguish normal fire. Its only rival being White Fire, but even then The Black Fire will simply devour the White Flame given time."

Aryn shook her head.
"I think I caught sight of her when she ship came to Crow Territory. She got on, then. I don't think it's likely she'll be with the Gods...but I guess it never hurts to look." She seemed to think on that for a second before her brow furrowed. "Who or what the fuck is "Susanoo"?"
That was the first question she asked after he completed his tale of the legend...before grinning.
"Well shit. Sounds like I lucked out big time."
Ohhh the lovely ego stroke. Aryn soaked it up like a cat soaked up a long stroke of a palm against her back and nearly purred to boot.
