[David B.]

He grinned.

"Ha. Bet he's heated about that. This pleases me."

He raised a finger, sealing the doors and making sure they were alone and unheard. He sat on the arm of the chair, unaware that she knew everything about his plans...at least, that he was going to go.

You know. The important part.

"Whats up?"

[Kyrie Blaze]

She waited as he sealed the door and slipped her hands behind her back, catching each elbow with the opposite hand. The blonde watched her Elder for a few more moments, searching...

"I," Know. Her eyes flickered, uncertainly, then slowly cleared as she spoke. "Found someone aboard the ship. He is neither civilian nor Dragon, but he wishes to help and do what he can to ensure we make it out of all this. I wanted to talk it over with you, first, as...he can be very unruly, and I would prefer to not have a repeat of what happened with Einrik."

[David B.]

David watched her, eyebrows twitching a bit at her actions. He had only one question to ask. If she wasn't able to give him the right response...well, then there was going to be a lot more than one question.

"Do you trust him?"

He had no idea who it was...but it must be someone important for Kiyr to come and ask him for this. There were plenty of Dragons who wanted to help...but this one man was enough to have her come in front of him...and question what to say to him. He had seen her reaction before- not on her, but on many others.

Like you were calculating just how much to say...and which direction would be a lie.

He waited, eyes not leaving hers.

[Kyrie Blaze]

She wouldn't lie. Everything she had said and would say would be the truth. Kyrie turned towards him, hands falling to her sides. Nothing hidden.

"For the most part. He can be extremely unpredictable...but he gave his word he would help, and so I can trust him to do so. He just...knows how to get under people's skin." She blinked, only emphasizing the next word just a little. "...mine, probably yours if he spends any time with you, not to mention the others closest to us, or anyone else on this ship. So I also trust that he will do just that, or try his best to."

[David B.]

He scratched his chin.

"What's his name?"

[Kyrie Blaze]

"He has...more than one. His circumstances are somewhat unique. The one I know him more as is Scene."

She had no reason to lie, nor would she. If he wanted to ask about the other, she would give him that, too.

[David B.]

Davids eyes slowly trailed up to hers.

"No. I want him off the ship."

He would stand and start for the door.

"I'll throw him off myself, if need be."

[Kyrie Blaze]

Okay, wait, no--

Kyrie moved, placing herself between him and the door, her hands up in a gesture that was both placating and urging him to wait.

"David, wait. I came to you, first, to talk. So, please, I am asking you: talk with me? Why? Help me understand."

She could have said he owed her that much, but she didn't. She believed that he would make his own choices. It was true, whether or not she liked it, he would choose what he wished.

[David B.]

He paused, letting her hands press against his stomach. He stared down at her, glancing up at the door.

"When I was Captain at 259, he was the leader of movement. He was insane, Kiyr. He killed two students. He attracted the worst in people. I don't want him here Kiyr."

He flexed his fists.

"Why is he here?"

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie didn't move, though her fingers did splay outwards a little against his abdomen. She listened and nodded, gravely.

"I know he is capable of many things, many violent things. The other half of who he is...is here for love. Or, well...a chance to be able to see the woman he loves, again. And it is that portion of his persona...that you need to speak to before any firm decisions are made." She tipped her chin up to be able to watch him, her hands remaining where they were with a faint twitch to her fingers.

And what would she want the person she was beseeching to do if she were to be in his position? ...wouldn't she want...a chance to be near someone that dear to her, if only for a while?

Like David.

[David B.]

He gave a face of obvious confusion.

"What do you mean? what other side?"

He didn't appear to notice her hands- or if he did, he didn't push her away or move them off him. So. He must want them right where they were.

[Kyrie Blaze]

"I told you Scene's situation is...well, somewhat unique. He is not entirely insane and unstable. He did not quite wish to come meet you, mostly because of what happened to Einrik, but if you know of Scene...he knows it, as well."

Her shoulders relaxed just a little, but her hands didn't drop. She was too focused on getting him to stay and calm down a little so he didn't fly off and potentially into a fight.

"And I would like you to speak with him in a couple minutes. I also...know of a word to say that will...shut Scene down, more or less... I suppose it more enables the part that is still sane to gain more of a foothold and regain control, in actuality."

[David B.]

He blinked a time or two...then recalled what she said just a few minutes ago.

That she trusted him. At least for the most part.

He backed away from the door, running a hand through his head as he turned around, taking a deep breath and trying to figure out what...and why, exactly. He chewed his lip a moment before asking-

"Did he say what he wanted to help with?"

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie inhaled and let her hands drop as David stepped away. She waited for him to move back before moving forward, herself. She looked up.

"An outcome without us all dead at the finish line, is the gist of it...and him helping us is the only way he can have even the slightest of chances to see the woman he loves, anyway, which is probably the main driving force for him extending the offer to help us."

[David B.]

He frowned.

"How would he know that we are all going to die?"

So...what, dude can see the future? Knows strike will be victorious? He didn't like the sound of this when she told him his name. Now he seemed to be spouting lies so that Kiyr would do as he bid? Or that David would?

He eyed her. Kiyr wasn't stupid. She was anything but. So he supposed...there was a good reason behind her words.
