Family Ties

[Damien Blaze]

Hyperion gave her a smile.

"Sit. Please."

He would walk over and sit across from her.

"You don't need a choice on that now. You can speak more at length with your other Elders about it. For now...we can have a generalized alliance. We can offer you shelter, food and lodgings in return for the war effort. You contribute men to our defense, and to the battle at the wall, and we'll agree to an alliance. During the battle, though, I will be supreme commander. I can't share power with any of the Elders there. My people...must see strength from one. To see strength from many will be confusing."

That was probably preferable to her.

The blonde would, indeed, sit as he offered and sat. She wasn't angry or even upset that he put what he initially wanted as he had. And she had no problems with listening to him speak. She would nod.

"I believe that is much more agreeable in terms of an alliance for this battle. I can ensure that the Dragons know this, as well as the Elders." She shifted in place. They would understand. If they didn't, at first, they would when she stressed it was for the battle. Anything that came after could be discussed.

The blonde tilted her head. It was a lot like here. His mannerisms when she was with him and the other Titans. But she had seen it then, which was why it made sense to her to accept the terms of their alliance for this battle.

Hyperion nodded.

"Good. Then we'll officially be both militarily and economically at peace, and both agree that our armies will come to each others aid in times of need. We will revisit the terms of the alliance following the war."

Once she officially agreed to that, he would nod and lean back in his chair.

"Alright- now tell me. Is David yours?"

Yeah. She knew what he meant.

[Kyrie Blaze]

"Agreed."

She seemed to relax as he leaned back. But with his question, the blonde's eyes widened and pink suffused her cheeks.

"Not currently, no..."

She would blink a few times, her expression alone asking why he asked.

Hyperion didn't shy away.

"Not currently? So, he will be soon?"

He was pressing her, he knew but...he was just curious. Trying to make talk that would make her feel more at ease with him.

[Kyrie Blaze]

She felt like she was on the back foot in this conversation...but took a slow and deep breath.

"It's possible he could be, but, just as possible he may not be. It all depends on how a few other things go...and even if we make it out of this war alive."

Her last reason - while still valid - was put out there because it needed to be.

Hyperion leaned forward now.

"The reason I ask...is to discover whether I need to worry about you covering my ass, if David should be dead or dying. If you are going to be at my back, I don't want to worry that your feelings are going to interfere with my ability to win this war."

He blinked curiously. Not angry or chastising but....he understood emotion.

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie was silent for a few long moments, obviously weighing what she thought and felt on her capabilities. She took the time because it wasn't a decision she could snap to one side or another on.

"...I am not entirely certain. But what I can guarantee is that I will remain aware of myself and what stands to be lost in this battle, no matter whose aid I feel like I need to jump to, and I will use it to make the best choice possible in those moments. I know, even sitting here, that I will want to help him. But...oftentimes what I want and what is needed to be done are two separate things. And my track record so far shows I do what is needed. That situation, though..."

Would be one of, if not the most, hardest she would face. But as she had said, she would be aware. And in that there was her best chance to not do something that would endanger everything. It may not have been the definite answer Hyperion was seeking, but it was the honest one she could give.

Hyperion hummed to himself a moment.

"Perhaps you should stay with Eos, then."

He tilted his head, as though he was seriously considering it...which, incidentally, he was.

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie took a slow breath in turn, then shook her head.

"I do not think that is the course that needs to be taken. I know I do not stand up to Titan strength, but that would not stop me from fighting or doing what is necessary. And that is the type of person you need on the battlefield. That will be what helps you to secure your victory." She paused a moment to let her words, evenly spoken, stick. "But I could not do less than tell you with honesty. I would not lie to you."

She preferred not to lie at all. Sometimes she would dance on the edge, but, she never spoke a lie.

Hyperion let out a breath.

"I suppose...I can assume you won't be there, and work without you, despite you being available to me. Just a precaution."

He would eye her a moment.

"You took Scene under your protection. Tell me why. What has he done to earn it?"

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie would nod, slowly, but...

"I will remember to help you, first..." That was better, likely, and more towards what he expected and needed. She just hoped if something happened that her sister...would be able to help.

The blonde blinked in surprise at Hyperion's switch to Scene, and then frowned just a tad.

"He came to me because he and Andrew have the best chance of seeing Mitsuki Park that way." Even if that chance was miniscule. "He helped me, before, and again when he came to me regarding matters on the Creators and some of their technology. It was initially to stir up a bit of drama, most likely, but...he remains to help me. And to supplement bodyguard duty. As to why I would trust him that much...despite the fact he is unpredictable - and therein lies a degree of predictability - he has not lied to me, or let me down with what he said he would do, and then done."

[David B.]

He nodded.

"I see. And If I were to have him executed...what would that mean for us?"

Yeah. He had a reason for asking.

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie's expression darkened, considerably. But she was obviously still thinking, as she didn't immediately speak.

"...am I to correctly think this question is related to what was said about Scene raping Themis..? Or..?"

She wouldn't answer just yet as that was something important she would need to take into account. But Scene didn't rape, she knew that. Still, she needed to know.

Hyperion shrugged.

"That, and others. He's a wicked man. I kill wicked men. His light is so small, if his soul were a piece of paper his light would be a period at the end of a long, evil sentence. He deserves death."

He felt this, absolutely.
