Buhhhhh...

Gang prices are not finalized, still very incomplete... about 40% through. Still have to finish up the Gang Territories section, the limitations of upgrades (certain crews you roll with will you allow you to go further up certain upgrade lists than others), gotta finish up the terminology and rules

To any of ya'll who lurk here:

Should Gang Labels (the core of the gang) be destructible?

Essentially, the Label is the essence of the gang. By having certain requirements met (the entire gang is decimated/knocked out) up to three times in a row (thereby achieving "Strikes" against their label), the IC-idea is that the shame is too much to bear for the Gang and they discontinue. Obviously a new label can be repurchased and you can reclaim the name, but should we just not bother with that and let the Label stay as it is? If a gang goes inactive, they keep the Label, but they get all the penalties associated with a gang that is not maintained and is effectively inert.

Just concerned with making it too gamey and actually opening it up to potential "grief play,"---I'm honestly leaning towards taking out the "Strikes," but I figured I'd ask (especially since it could be a way for the Student Hierarchy to purge unsavory gangs---but again, the risk of grief play. Don't want to have fun at the expense of someone else).

I would say no strikes, but perhaps have a kind of "Reputation" that is sort of built around the Label. So like, say you are involved in a flashpoint, you gain +5 reputation. One of the gangs warriors gets defeated later in a 1on1 fight, you lose 1 reputation. But if the label gets defeated, you lose all reputation (and any perks that might come with that, whether we go with money or "territory" or gang members, whatever.) If it went under gang members, we'd have to have an idea of the total number of students at the school, and anytime students join or are given to a gang, you reduce the total amount of "free" Students at the school.

This could be kept in a color coded list.

If that seems too game-y or reminiscent of apocalypse 259, don't blame me. I liked that shit.
