EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Violet was still moping as she'd left the Pillar's lounge, a look of reluctance patterned her features turning her attention down the hall looking for what was the SHCP office. Dressed in her usual apparel: a low cut blue top and skinny jeans she sought to not stand out from the rest of the student body perhaps sent a message that we were all one unit if we set aside our differences. That wasn't even it, her mind lingered on the transgressions earlier of this Stevie-Ray girl who'd given a surrendering foe a harsh lesson for seemingly no reason. Fretting still Violet hoped to herself that this wasn't the type of girl that she'd have to get associated with reminded only of the one that'd looked back with remorse over her actions. That she could work with.
Coming to the realization that there was no sense in padding around about it Violet would sober up turning that frown upside down as she'd finally make it to the door giving it a light knock. If there was no answer she'd take it up a notch giving it a slightly firmer one to announce her presence. Hopefully she would get off to the right foot this time around, she was notorious with awful first impressions.

I was giving the punching bag a hard lesson on why it should laugh at my horrible puns when i heard a light rapping on the door. I paused and waited. Did i hear something? Another louder knock would sound and i'd sigh. Walking over to the door I would pull it open. I blinked a few times and looked around the hallway. No one there so she was here by herself. The CD player started playing the next song on the Ipod, an operatic song. My eyes widened. Here i was supposed to be this hard ass and tough and whatever, but i was listening to the theme song from Princess Mononoke... Great. I waved her in and slightly flushed as i made my way to the CD player to turn off the music. I started to reach up to it to turn it off, but figured whats the point, she knows what i was listening to. I turned to face her, leaning up against the table. A slightly curious look on my face. "Whaddya want?" No sense in beating around the bush right? Straight to business. Song playing for reference: Here

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Violet stood waiting at the door though not too long as she was greeted to the sound of music that she would have never expected of kids their age. Though it was a peculiar tune to be heard in such a place it wasn't off putting, in fact Violet found herself lull into a relaxed state letting her eyes mull back momentarily behind tired hues. That's when her silence was broken by the sudden urgency to business and Violet's hues snapped open to attention her frame erecting upright instantly frazzled.
What was it? Why was she here again? Oh right to get friendly with the new Captain. Violet opened her mouth to speak but finding herself mute for a prolonged moment. Damn she knew she should have practiced what she was going to say, the music had only added to her momentary flight of thoughtlessness slowly bringing a hand up to face palm herself very noticeably. "Sorry I totally spaced, that music its really lovely." Vi would respond congenially trying to convey a bit about herself. The girl really wasn't any sort of trickster or tease in the notion of getting to know someone she was offhandedly herself.
"What I meant to say or really rather what I mean by being here was to ask..." Violet would pause bringing that same hand that'd facepalmed herself to curl a loose strand of hair behind her ear, "Is if you're alright... what with what went down earlier, I didn't really mean to come off so harsh." There it was, Violet herself feeling a bit guilty over the incident. The girl would blush a little bit feeling self aware of her present vulnerability.

I watched the Pillar stand in the doorway, being lulled by the music. It was one of the reasons I let it play. Not to catch her off guard but because it put myself at ease. I found myself closing my eyes as the music kept playing Opening them at the audible sound of a slap. her hand was over her face. The girl seemed surprised at her question. She looked frazzled like she didn't know what to say.
Her hand moved to brush some hair behind her ear as she spoke. She wanted to almost apologize for being harsh about our earlier interaction over the blue haired boy. She had thought the girl was a bit harsh, but putting herself in the Pillar's shoes, she would have done the same, if not more.
"You were a bit harsh, but I did deserve it. I ain't believin' that's why yer here though. You wouldna come all this way, to my neck of the woods alone, if that were the case. I don't think ya wanna be friends or somethin like that. So, why are you here?"
I knew there must have been something more. Like maybe scouting what my side looked like or something. No one comes to a possible threat alone. I wasn't trying to start a fight, although i would hold my own against her if i had to. I just wanted to know the whole truth.

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Why was that so hard of a concept to imagine, that Violet just wanted to be friends. Ulterior motives weren't a strange concept to her however they were a method that she didn't enjoy dabbling in. Yes she did speak purely the truth in the mater of which she was concerned for Stevie-Ray in more than one field but just the same she was indeed here for a mission after all. Forming her lips into a pursed grimace she'd stare the girl dead pan and with some reluctance.
"Well I was interested in lending whatever aid you needed," Violet would word out not exactly asking for the position that the captain of the SHCP allowed however leaving it open ended just the same. She didn't feel so bad about lying if it wasn't to say an outright lie. "I realized that you were the only one in this position, and if you consider your actions to on that day to be reprehensible you couldn't be all that bad, you're just looking out for the welfare of the school." Violet would try to flourish her words together in a way that she found agreeable. Despite what Emily had hypothesized nothing lay claim to the fact that Stevie-Ray was evil...

I blinked a few times, trying to read her. After a moment i gave up. I'd figure her out later. I did need the help after all.
"Well...." I paused hesitantly. "I don't know how to get the school to trust me. I'm not like Emily. I can't just kick ass and add people to my ranks. I'm pretty sure thats not how this works. I spoke to Mr Kaar about the way the two roles work. Mine is about helping the school more and hers is about giving the student body something to aim at. At least, that's what i gathered from the talk."
I paused again and walked over to a window. I didn't look outside, i just closed my eyes and let the California sun wash over my face, pretending i was in Texas. I missed it. If she didn't say anything, i'd start talking again. This time, my words came out low and soft.
"I didn't want to hurt that boy. I still have no clue... No i know why. It was because i was afraid he would beat me later. I was a coward. Emily was right." I turned around and opened my eyes. "I am striving to be a different person. If you want to help me, Help me change and be better."

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Violet would grin having overcome her initial shy disposition to the girl and strode her way into the room seeing fit to make herself comfortable, a bit more so than was probably socially acceptable but that didn't seem to phase her one bit. Finding her way to the center table Violet would pounce on the seat hearing Stevie-ray out and idly distract herself for a moment in the search for food. If there happened to be any on the table top she'd quickly scarf it away into her mouth like a wryly chipmunk pouching her cheeks.
"I don't exactly get it either, seems like a bit of a handful." Vi would manage between gulps keeping her eyes and smile locked in on Stevie-ray to assure her that Violet wasn't rude at least not too bad...
"Although you have to have something in mind right?" Vi would chime in keeping a glowing smile present as she leaned back in the chair dangerously close to tipping it. "Wouldn't go round starting fights without a plan?" That was a bit off for her feeling a bitter taste in her mouth firing off prompting questions. She didn't even know Stevie-Ray just yet and was already filling in the blanks. Vi would scold herself a bit rethinking as to how she should recover.

I heard more than saw that she was stuffing her face with the rice crispy treats on the table. I smiled to myself, then straightened my face before turning around.
"Plans? I was just planning on rounding up a few people that also want to help the school and don't really mind getting their hands dirty doin it. I want to protect the school, but before i can, i have to get to know the school... per se. Any clues?"
I'd keep eye contact for a brief moment before walking over to the kitchen and grabbing a glass of Momma's sweet tea before heading back to the table and sitting down.

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Vi would continue munching to herself, attention a bit directed towards Stevie-Ray however primarily intent on devouring this bowl of treats placed graciously in front of her. Man this would be a sweat deal if she could play both Pillar and SHCP if anything it meant she'd double down on the amount of treats she'd be able to consume. Despite the little bit of selfishness she did have a weak spot for what Stevie-Ray was saying about all this she really did care. Not to say that Emily didn't its just they seemed to have a different vibe to it all. From Violet's time with the Pillars it would seem that Emily was clearly the darker persona wanting to help the school but clearly fearing or mistrusting it taking to the school with a preemptive forceful approach easily dismissing innocent ideals and casting them as little more than distractions.
Stevie-Ray's on the other hand well Violet couldn't say as to how she decided to approach it however she could very well feel a sort of empathetic draw from the girl. She'd admired that sort of trait, the ability to forgive that many took for granted and saw as naive, she saw it as a hidden strength. With a mouth filled grin Violet would turn her head up eyeing the container of sweat tea with gluttonous hues.
Yummy. "Well Emily would suggest you bash a few heads together, but I think that's contradictory." Vi would say letting out a cute little giggle followed by an unintended snort before reaching out for some tea to wash it all down. "Thank you, if there's anything I'd suggest is.. be hospitable, be yourself and the school will come to know you through your deeds." Violet would look up with a content smirk slurping down the cool drink and chiming in with a satisfied groan. "You've already got me weak at the knees." Yet another laugh filling the room.

I nodded at everything the Pillar was saying it all made perfect sense. She obviously knew what she was talking about. I really wanted her on my team, but Kaar said you were either a Pillar or SHCP. there was no in between. it was unfortunate, but the obvious truth. I laughed with her at her joke.
"Yeah, my Momma makes the best crispies and sweet tea. It tastes a bit different than it's supposed to, what with the northern water and all. It's still Momma's sweet tea. I'm glad you like em. I gotta say, I like you. I wish you could join my ranks, but you are a Pillar. We can still hang tho. Do you like riding horses by any chance? I brought mine from Texas. You could come over and ride some time? I'm sure Momma and Daddy won't mind.
I smiled and hoped she'd accept. I loved to ride. The best part though, was riding with a friend.

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Shame, she wasn't getting the direct in it would seem as her "secret" pillar status had come out, it wasn't as though Violet was subtle however. Still munching idly on what was left of the crispies and tea Violet would hear out the offer and perk her ears up attentively. Yes new friend. Although the offer was in a light very interesting to her, she'd never so much as gotten near a horse although liked the idea of getting to ride one it was every girls' dream to ride off into the sunset albeit hers was to be the knight in the story charging gloriously off to the next battle.
"I'd like that, although I have to warn you I've never ridden before." Violet would chuckle to herself placing down the plate that she'd hoarded mostly and spinning about in her seat to come face to face with Stevie-Ray attentively. "And even if I can't join your ranks I can be your go-to-gal if things ever hit the fan." Violet would say again this time thrusting out her hands in jabbing motions suggesting a fight of sorts.

I smiled and nodded.
"Sounds like a plan. I love riding and don't worry. I have just the horse for you. We call him Teddy, he is a sweetheart. He is used to new riders."
I laughed as she made a few fake jests towards me.
"Will do. Maybe if you weren't a Pillar, i'd take you on, but seeing as you are..."
I let it drop. No sense in carrying out what we both knew.

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Violet could feel a squeal coming on however quickly resisted the urge and settled instead for noming on another treat her mind idly wandering to the note that they'd named a horse 'Teddy' considering that to be something of a stuffed animal or beat name even a large dog. But she supposed that horses were something of large domesticated animals in their own way. Smirking foolishly she'd bob up and down until Stevie-Ray mentioned that last bit and causing her to frown a bit.
"Haha not to fret chicka, we're both looking out for the students, just because we have different looking badges doens't mean we can't team up." Violet's eyes would fade out and her gaze shifted to the ceiling. "Like Marvel and DC! Heros to save the world!!" Violet would stand a make an odd dramatic pose.

"Awesome! But only if I can be Black Widow. Love that girl!"

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me "Of course, only fitting for a badass of your brand." Vi would respond flitting her tongue out before returning to a stand having pulverized her share of the snacks and wiped herself off a bit of the crumbs looking perhaps a little bit satisfied with the exchange. Although she'd hoped for more this was a temporary fit.
"By the way, can I get your number. I'd like to keep ties you know just in case we have the need to exchange ideals and all." Violet would grin whipping out her cell phone with a gesture and pulling up her contact details. She wanted to make sure that despite things not working out to their desired intent there was still potential for open doors.
