As expected, Stevie-Ray utilized the momentum that Emily was using to hurl her. The young School Captain hit the mat and skittered once before she planted a hand, spinning her body up and around to slide along the ground in a sort of "runners stance". She was facing Stevie-Ray again, a small rug burn on her left arm and chin giving a stinging pain to the flip. But...better a flip than a body slam or something of the sort. She'd come to her feet, a full-out grin coming to her lips. One she had yet to display, that lit up her face. " You're not bad. I think I've learned all I need to know." Emily wasn't shy about it- she respected strength. She liked that there were others that were strong in the school. It meant that, despite her own immense abilities she still had room to grow. She stretched and shook out her arms, about ready to ask the girl out to eat as they had things to discuss....when her eyes caught on the shadow of the young man standing by the door. Her smile faded as her brow furrowed. " What are you doing here?" TAG: Richard Stock

I relaxed my stance slightly. I wasn't about to be caught blind sided. At that thought, I stood straight. If she did do that, it was all I deserved for the boy. I nodded at her remark.
"Not bad yourself."
I worked at a smile. I was still a bit angry, but it was fading seeing as how she didn't seem to want to control me. I felt a little silly, but still stood my ground. That was until she spoke to another kid. I turned to look in the direction she was facing. Richard? What was he doing here?
"What's up, Richard?"

OOC: Originally, this thread started 3 minutes before "For Reasons." I'll adjust the timeline so that this one happens afterward.
Student Captain vs. S.H.C.P. Captain. Evidently, Richard had stumbled on something of a rather momentous moment for the school away from the school. The silent spectator watched as Emily further and further threw... not quite accusations, but concerns at Stevie and forced her into a fight, initiating it with a sweep.
In terms of talent, Emily showed more athleticism with her blows heavier and her speed incredible---it was honestly quite hard for English both to keep up with her movements. Stevie-Rae, while not as naturally strong, knew and showed countering techniques that got her out of the tight spots. The fight was close, ending with Stevie-Rae escaping from of Emily's match-clinching moves.
---Until Emily noticed him. And Stevie-Rae greeted him.
...Well, at least both his benefactors (or benefactor and would-be benefactor) knew each other. Perhaps if Emily at least respected Stevie-Rae, he could get the approval regardless instead of his date with Emily having this weird uncertainty to it.
And now both of them knew that he knew both of them. He'd probably have to explain... but was now the appropriate time.
He would wave at them both, his sandwich delicious but gone, an empty cup squarely put back away on the thermos.
"Exploring. Door open," he answered Emily with a sweeping hand that pointed to the open door, as he put his trash and food away in his satchel, neatly cleaning up after himself. He leaned back to relax, before looking at Stevie-Rae.
"Your fights. Good show there," he'd nod.
Richard then made his way over to the broom closet, halfway through the fight. He'd call out over his shoulder, still commenting on their fight.
"You're both very strong, "Definitely more than me. "...But get stronger still," he whispered a little ominously.
For the past few days, after all, he had this... fear. There were too many dreams, too many little deja vus, and an increasing number of consequences. 259 was a school for delinquents. The Captains, therefore, couldn't afford to lose, lest the school be thrown into chaos... and the natural order of things was that there was always someone stronger. A tie result here was more appropriate and would lead to less unrest.
He got out a broom and started sweeping.
"Also, the floor? Gross."

Emily would never strike an opponent like that. She'd attack first if it was warranted, but the fight was over and it was her victory. At least, it seemed obvious to her that if the fight went on, she'd come out on top. There was no reason to reach a point where they were both damaged or one of them damaged and the other sidelined for recovery. Why weaken the school? It was a test, to see how strong Stevie-Ray was. Emily decided she was strong enough for what was ahead, and would grow stronger still.
She glanced at the sign that had said it was closed, but didn't mention it when Stock said the door was open. Instead, she would turn her attention back to Stevie-Ray, knowing that Richard would in all likely-hood grab the broom in the corner and begin cleaning so she decided to ignore him for now.. She'd walk up to the SHCP and stop, grabbing her sweater and pulling it on before hand.
"I know some people think I'm...probably paranoid. But if you've seen what I have about 259, you would be too. I suspect more is going on than we're led to believe, and the Hierarchy as well as the SHCP will be used to meet ends we don't wish or aren't prepared for. I'd rather be called paranoid now and prepared later than the opposite."
She'd roll the shoulder that had the rug burn on it, letting out a little breath.
"What do you think about an Alliance, you and me? Against the students, against the gangs and if necessary...against the Faculty?"
No games between possible allies, right?

I smiled at Richard. He was an unusual character for sure. I watched him move to the closet and grab a broom. Yup. He was odd. I turned my attention back to Emily hearing her start talking. Paranoid?
"What should I see then? From what I hear, nothing and no one scares you. So what could have you spooked? I'm not really sure who I can and can not trust in the school system. From what I can tell, Violet is alright and You seem... Okay. I'm not sure about Melanie. She looks pretty unstable to me. But hey, what do I know right?"
I smiled as she rolled her shoulder and then spoke again.
"I think that's cool. Though, I can't guarantee I'll be against everyone. I'll be opposed if they are wrong. That's all I can promise. So long as you are on the right side, I'll ally with you. Otherwise..."
I shrugged.

From the floor, still sweeping meticulously, they'd hear a: "JUST KISS, YOU WANKERS."

Emily slowly slid her eyes over to Richard. She let out a heavy sigh.
He just had to, didn't he?
She started pushing up the sleeve on her right arm, and unless Stevie-ray stopped her, she planned to walk over to him and clock him over the back of the head. Not in a harsh way, that would like knock him out or anything. Just like a "Don't be a pervert" way that both hurt and sent the message. Whether she was stopped or not, Em shook her head.
"Anyway- Didn't mean it as a 'you and me against everyone' sort of deal. More like a 'If it comes to it, the Pillars and the SHCP stand united', rather than apart as i think many people expect."
She would turn her gaze back to Richard and watch him sweep to see if he had anything to say.

I looked to Richard and grinned. Just before I was going to reply, Emily started his way. I tapped her shoulder. If she didn't stop, I'd grab at her shoulder instead.
"Hey come on. He was obviously playing. Besides, you aren't my type."
I'd wink at Emily, my grin growing bigger. Looking back to Richard,
"You might not wanna piss her off. She could kill you."
I grinned again.

Richard looked up, as though sensing the impending doom. He looked remarkably unperturbed, listening---watched Emily start to march her way over to where he was when Stevie stopped him.
"You might not wanna piss her off. She could kill you."
Perhaps surprised (it was a little hard to tell), his brows raised in concern. He gave a glance to Emily... and then an up and down. He looked back at Stevie.
"...Already slays me," he shrugged. Very matter-o-factly.
...And if at that point he wasn't actually knocked out, he'd resume sweeping, not wanting to detract -too- much from their conversation.

As he clearly checked her out, Emily was glad he turned around following his "slays me" comment, and that her back was to Stevie-Ray. That way, neither would notice the slight tint to her cheeks as her fists would clench. Her hand having been on her shoulder though, Emily surmised a royal beat-down of the young male would end with the girl pulling her off him. Best not to give such an impression to her newfound ally so early. She stuck her hands in the pockets of her coat and cleared her throat.
"My business here is done. Thanks for the match."
Unless stopped, she'd move to get the hell outta there!

I nodded at Richard, my face fading into it's normal friendly smile and I turned to see Emily just as she was about to leave. Her fists clenched. Huh, didn't actually think she was getting mad. I really didn't wanna have to be the person that HAD to pull the school captain off a fellow student. I mean, seriously. If she couldn't handle the position... I didn't want to finish the thought. I would have much rather not have to do any of that. Sure I had the power, but I didn't want to be forced to use it.
I nodded and let her go. "It was a good fight."

Richard wondered how he got away with that. But he'd lean the broom against the shoulder and wave Emily off.
"Good fight, Em! Catch you!" as an indicative reminder of their date soon... Her reactions, at least, were veering on normal for a closet shy girl.
Richard would watch Emily leave the gym... before eyeing Stevie. Jacket still slung over his shoulder, he'd bring the broom and the dust pan with him, eyes primarily at the dirt, until he could step into the ring (it would take a bit) with Stevie.
"Good fight. You alright?" concern in his voice.
He eyed Stevie, but this was far less playful. Emily had been exerting a lot of power and Stevie had been fighting pretty hard. Looking for bruises, cuts... He frowned.

I mentally checked myself over. No, my body was fine. Only my head... I had quite the headache coming along.
"Yeah I'm good. For the most part, she didn't really hurt me. She doesn't hit as hard as I thought she would. I did take quite a few more punches than I thought I would. Kind of got a decent head ache coming along."
I rubbed at my temples for a bit then decided to leave it for now. I'd get some Advil or something later.
"By the way, what made you come inside. The door did say it was closed. I only came here because Emily left me a note."
I eyed him for another moment before heading to the side of the ring and sitting on the side. God my head hurt a lot now. The adrenaline had left and i was feeling it's loss. I had a few bruises, but those ai could handle no problem.

Richard listened... seemingly dissatisfied with Stevie's response.
"...Bollocks you're not hurt," he'd mutter in a barely audible tone, staring up at her forehead as well to the parts that he remembered watching her get hit at.
Her second response however confused him. The bloody door was open and he didn't see any sign---albeit, he might have missed it. He shook his head, it didn't really matter. Here he was.
"Curiosity," he'd answer. And that was true enough in itself.
---He seemed to hesitate, as she walked away, the broom getting more rigid in his hands. But he relaxed.
...Richard deliberately put down the dustpan and broom to the side of the ring, staring hard at them, before taking off his coat as well and hanging it on the side of the ring. What had he been considering in that moment? Would Stevie have noticed?
Whatever it was, Richard seemed to have changed his mind, before walking on over to her and past her, down to where her satchel was and pulled out his thermos again, pouring out more tea into the thermos cup. He'd walk back, silently offering it to Stevie. More than likely for her headache. Whether she accepted or no, he would again quietly push himself up to sit next to her---the only difference being that had she declined then he would be the one sipping out of the cup.
"You can both blitz fight... "But your stamina's bollocks," he'd say, referring to the both of them. "...Long fights are bad, then," making note of situations that the both of them were weak to.
...Of course, who was he go analyzing their fight and being frank on where they lacked training? But the young Englishman said it anyways.

I looked up at him as I sat down. Why was he shocked I wasn't hurt? There was a reason I trained so hard. I had to be strong. I had to hit and take hits. I had to keep coming. It was my job. I leaned back in the chair and closed my eyes.
I smiled when he said curiosity. Must have seen me coming in here and decided to take a peak. After a bit I opened my eyes and jumped a little seeing him so close to me. God, he was quiet. I smiled and quietly thanked him. After taking a sip I froze. My lips pursed and my eyebrows furrowed. Hot tea? How odd. I shrugged it off and took another sip. It wasn't all that bad, pretty good actually.
I looked over at him as he sat next to me. He was analyzing the fight? What did he want to fight me then? Ah geez... I didn't much care to fight right now. If he did want to fight he'd have to come back later.
"Yeah." I said slowly and took another sip. "I know I can't last forever, but I am at least strong enough to take most of the hits this school can make." I looked back at him and smiled. "I guess it's a good thing I did too. I could have been hurt just now."
