EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me -Flashback-
Violet could feel the cold all around her, consuming her really as the white gown barely covered her body. Static images of herself being drenched in frozen tubes and pulled free only to stagger on clumps of cold air suffering to choke her half to death before feeling the needles pierce her back once again. Agonizing screams day and night from all around her and yet all she could do was cry.
-Present-
The nightmares again were acting up. She'd done so well in keeping them at bay by taking runs around the city but at the present her strides had been getting longer, the dreams feeling more real and all she could do was think that there was nowhere left to run anymore. That was what frightened her the most perhaps her past was about ready to catch up with her. Feeling the daunting chill running up her spine she would pick up pace. Running shoes, short white shorts and a white tee she stood out against what was now the blackened sky of night. How long had she been running? Long enough to bring her across the city's waterway, running parallel to it by night with only the occasional spook of coyote against the night or a siren. Vi wasn't frightened merely lost in thought.

On her run, about thirty yards ahead she would see a man she would recognize as one of the doctors her mother had brought in to work on the experimental medications she had to go through. Only back then he didn't have all the tattoo's. For some reason she couldn't remember his name, but that face... Smiling through the frost in the air, as if deriving some sick pleasure from the whole ordeal... That is something you never forget.

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Huff puff huff puff she would feel her lungs stinging in the cold air, only seeming to become colder as she went along. Her eyes naturally following her feet as she took each step, the weight increasing with each trudge until a sharp sting shot up her spine and her eyes shot skyward. In the short distance she saw a daunting figure there staring at her. The grin familiar, a terrifying visage that she knew....The name a place she couldn't figure for the life of her only the fear as she felt it wretch its way inside her stomach, the weight of her limbs feeling tons heavier. Her run would come to a jog and then a slow trudge until she'd stop a few feet away from him, each inch feeling like a world's weight and dropped on her and an unrelenting fear in her bones. Violet heard a screaming at the back of her head:
"RUN! RUN AWAY NOW!"
The shrill screeching clawing its way at her insides, but her limbs, her entire body failing to move. "Hello?" As much as she tried to make it sound brave her voice broke midway through, quivering in the cold air around her. She dreaded what was to come.

The man would step away from the wall at her approach and grin looking directly into her eyes.
"Hello Violet. Fancy seeing you here... Have you been keeping up with treatment?"
He of course referred to the illness she had and it's regular needs and attendances. He seemed to be making small talk, which would be unusual for nothing else.
"You know, if it ever starts acting up, your mother would like you to call her first."

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me That chill running up her spine became a deathly sting paralyzing her to a point where it would be hard not to see. Violet's body arched to full height, her heels peaked, knees quaking and neck on a swivel as though every muscle in her body was demanding for her to run. This man that stood before her knew about her past about her treatments, about the pain she'd been subjected to day after day for an entire year a pain that wouldn't yield even now.
"How's the pain today Violet?" - An unrecognizable voice would remind her each day from behind the guise of a surgical mask and a pair of oblong refracting eyes. "Not to worry we'll be sure to make it all better." As if taunting her with some subjective freedom from it all and all she could remember was the pain.
"You know, if it ever starts acting up, your mother would like you to call her first."
His words seemed to trigger her, parts of her at least to quit. Her arms went first twitching, spasming from reminders of the pain, her knees buckling and shaking even as she'd slowly lean into a crouch. Palms extending outwards to hold herself up from the ground and that's when she'd start coughing, her chest on fire and all of it lashing out for who was responsible for this pain.
"Who are you? Why can't I breath?!" Her lungs screamed and her body started choking gagging on air that was very much present but she couldn't stomach.
OOC: Basically having the worst panic attack of her life.

The man would move forward to put a hand on the middle of her back and edge her to the side to sit down.
"Violet, you must take deep breaths. You seem to be having a stress induced hyper reaction. Deep breaths now, focus on that."
the guy would breath with her trying to help her concentrate and see how to do it. Closing his eyes before waiting for her to calm some again.
"My name is Sean Barker. Maybe you should stop in at the clinic for a check up, you don't seem well."
Honestly Barker could feel it, he could see it. The reaction in her body that he had been waiting for. She was close now.

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Violet could feel her body rejecting the air, his touch almost comforting presently as she fell into the mending ways of the doctor goading onto his lead to a sitting motion her hands palming against the ground holding herself at bay from throwing up. "I need my medicine... I need." She'd cough up air and mucus finding herself clawing and scraping at the ground relentlessly before what used to be manicured nails became talons of blood and broken nails spooling up along her pant legs. "Please doctor make it stop..." She couldn't believe that she was reduced to this, the pain behind her eyes was too great, the panic settling into her flesh.
Violet had been off her medication for some time, since she'd left the white room. Everything seemed fine, she'd been cured of everything; of course everything but the memories. Since then the pain had not returned not until now even if this was a very different sort of pain she felt like the frightened child locked up in the room with four white walls despite being out in the open.
"I can't go back there... I'd die." She'd say looking up in a brief moment of clarity grabbing at the base of his shirt.

Barker would give her a shushing noise, long and drawn out to try and calm her.
"I have a minor medication you can take here, but you need to drop by the clinic to pick up a prescription."
Barker would reach into his coat and pull out a pill bottle, shaking it abit and handing her a small orange pill, that seemed like it had some sort of glowing agent inside of it.
"Take this and head straight home."

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me The words "Don't take anything from strangers" rustled in her mind briefly but was quickly shunned as Violet began to calm the breathing became a bit easier from then on out but there was still an insurmountable pain in her chest retching to get free. Her hands would palm upwards to retrieve the orange pill taking no longer than a second to observe it before quickly popping it between her lips and wincing slightly to the taste.
"Isn't there any other way?" She'd plead not wanting to go back there the fear was all too much but if it meant that she'd be well... then maybe she had to take this risk.

Violet would feel the pill warming her insides slowly, soothingly.
"I could come visit you instead with your medicine. Where are you staying?"
He'd ask as he'd help Violet to her feet so she could be on her way home. Barker was particular with his instructions after all.

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Violet had been raised well enough or at least knew the general consensus of rules never to bid int a strangers demands but this felt oddly different. Her body transposed to a degree feeling lighter and warmer as the pain melted away. She had seen his face before familiar yet distant like out of a dream, but this dream had in turn been a nightmare all the fear transposed to suspicion but now she even doubted herself her own past becoming irrelevant to the kindness he was offering her. "Of course.... Doctor... follow me.." She'd handle well enough of her own still walking weakly trying to come to terms with the pain as it seemed still ever present if not abated temporarily but she'd lead the man along the way to her home. It was a few meters in, a hidden hobbit hole of sorts with a stern rock face and a hidden stairwell to the upper levels which lay host to a rustic wooden door. The circular door would give way to her key and she'd slip inside to a room heavily decorated with all paraphernalia of seaworthy artifacts: from urchins to sea stars not a wall was left bare it was her attempt at escaping that bare walled room that haunted her nightmares. At the center of a room lie a couch which she propped herself in weakly looking up for salvation.

Sean would follow her and help her lay down before nodding and covering her with a near by blanket. A smile.
"Sleep now young one. Relax."
Should she sleep, Barker would pull out a syringe and put it to her neck, pushing in the ice blue liquid to force the final reaction. He could feel the temperature inside the room dropping... Now was a good time to leave.

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Trusting...a bit too trusting Vi was at the sound of his voice as the doctor cooed her into a lulling sense of belief letting him take out his syringe and plot it into her. A momentary wince of pain and complete fear running through her feeling the room around her begin to froth and churn with turbid energies.
"Its going to be okay...it's going to be okay..." She'd mumble weakly and silently to herself as she lulled herself into a petrified sleep.

Violet's Qi would fire off rapidly and at complete random all night in her sleep. Once awake she would have the ability to control it. With Barker no where to be seen except a bag with instructions.
"Whenever fear grips you. Drink this Brimstone. It will help."
((OoC:

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Waking up Violet would feel wholly new, a very remeniscent chill that ran up her spine was more in tune with her core as every bone of hers shuddered with a new sort of power. Turning over in her spot she'd find the bag with instructions and the fear returned albeit weakly considering her new found strength fought for dominion and a brilliant sort of confidence filled her eyes.
"Please don't come back..." She'd mumble to herself as she clutched the bag to her chest feeling the weight of her woes crush her.
/End?
