He adjusted his tie.
Looking out the window of the black car he sat in back of, David's eyes glossed over the entrance to Public Highschool #259. He hadn't actually been to the place for many years, despite the donations and keeping up on the news surrounding it. He had graduated...what, ten or twelve years back? It seemed like forever and a day ago. His driver, August, turned back in the seat and gave him a knowing smirk. The guy had been at his side for most of it, and though he was employed with David now he had the added benefit of being one of his closest friends. He was allotted far more leash in how he spoke, acted and reacted to things David did or said. Hell, he sometimes got involved with his boxing sessions, throwing a few rounds and laughs with the former School Captain.
"You ready?"
David shrugged, taking a deep breath.
"Ready as I'll ever be, I guess."
Pushing open the back door, he stepped out of the car and undid the button of his jacket, reaching back to touch the wallet in his rear pocket before making sure the button on it was flipped. Old habits died hard on this property. Clearing his throat, he shut the door with his left hand and used his right to run his fingers through his hair. August pulled away, heading for the parking lot to wait for David to get back. He watching what few students were either skipping or had an open period before he started in.
His meeting with Asiv would be soon. Best to take his tour while he still had a few minutes.

Violet ~~~~~ | "LOOK OUT!" A voice would hollar loud enough to give the man emerging from the car fair warning to respond or better yet dodge as a limp torso came flying from the front yard doubled over and into the car's sealing door rump side up. Violet would come spring stepped out from where she'd been having tossed the boy from across the yard after he'd gotten a little bit fresh with her not moments prior. Lets back track a little bit; not moment's before Violet walked onto campus only to discover three mopey looking hooligans. Despite her position being null and void at this point she'd still had that itching feeling like she needed to help, looming over them she'd interrogate them for answers, the group peddling cigarettes. A minor violation but she was in full swing... That's when they reacted..... Fast forward to flying body."Sorry about that! Occupational hazard!" She'd say loud enough with a beaming smile as she made way across the yard with a carefree demeanor seeing as the other two either bailed or were in their own similar face down ass up pile of wrought.David B. |

As he stepped out and was shutting the door, he saw the body before he heard the scream. Sliding his left leg back while turning his body counter-clockwise, the bag of meat would slam into the side of his car door, denting it. Bringing his right hand up, David pulled a little on the sleeve of his jacket at the wrist of his left hand. First it, then the sleeve of his right. His head would turn to look in the direction it came from, catching on the body of a lively young girl. He closed his eyes and gave a little smile as he stuck his left hand in his pocket and let his right hand at his side. " It's not a problem at all. Really." 259 really did never change. He could remember issues of a similar nature, when he was one of the Pillars, and then School Captain. Bodies were always in the air around campus, either from the hierarchy or from gangs that were allowed to populate and overrun the school. Like the Dragons...and many others. Turning his eyes back up at the school, he'd crunch the space between his brow with their furrowing, trying his best to remember the layout and the structure. He opened his mouth to ask the girl...when he saw five men come jogging up through the parking lot. There was cruelty and promise in their eyes- and two of them may have been the two that bolted earlier.
"You bitch! Leave Garreth alone!" Well....what a lively place indeed. Hadn't they just watched her beat the ever-loving shit out of their comrade(s)? Why would they step up to test someone who was clearly beyond their skills? He would bring his right hand up and stick it in his pocket as well. Judging from their clenched jaws and bared teeth....they weren't there to talk. So, he spoke to the girl.
"Perhaps when you are finished here, you'd be willing to give me a tour miss....?"
He tapered off to give her the chance to answer or....strike first, as it were.

Violet ~~~~~ | "You bitch! Leave Garreth alone!"The words wouldn't put Violet off at all, in fact she seemed still in her own rather carefree daze strolling along towards the man where the impact had been left softly kneeling to observe the impact damage. "I can fix that.. I'll find a way." She'd say in a mock calm although clearly a little bit distressed about coming up with the funds to reimburse him for the damages. Violet would have to give up shopping for at least a week to cover the damages. As the man responded she'd merely look up with relief, yeah that would be a good out, she really didn't know if she had the willpower really to give up shopping for an entire week. "You've got a deal." Chiming in pleasantly seeming unconcerned about striking first, she really never put herself into a position of aggression merely reaction. David B. |

David smiled and gave a little nod, then pointed with his chin at the five boys who raised their fists a little ways off behind the girl. They weren't pleased to be ignored, and were now crouching prepared to launch themselves forward. He never was one to be pleased with sneak attacks like this, so with the flick of his chin he'd speak.
"Watch your six."
He'd step back and out of the way of the battle as the five rushed in. Two hooked around to come at her like a pincer from the left and right. Another two jumped to come at her from above while the leader moved around the outside to wait for an opening. Seeing David, he gave a little curl of his lip and stepped forward, intent to fight the suited mail. A clear look of surprise creased David's lips, and he'd blink before shaking his head and tilting his head in the direction of the battle.
"Your fight's with her. I didn't beat up your friend."

Violet ~~~~~ | Violet wasn't the most perceptive here and even with the warning took a little moment to turn as they'd come in on her. Her specialty wasn't speed at all, it was durability. Converting her body inward she'd tuck her arms defensively at her side garnering her vital points; arms tucked upwards to protect her neck, knees bent to spring and chin dipped low as they enveloped her. She wouldn't react til a trigger point happened. That trigger was all four of the boy grasping her to some extent. She knew even with her superior strength she couldn't take them all with a regaling amount of might so she'd use their own eagerness to her advantage. As they moved into grapple her she'd feign the weakness letting them get in closer before the temperature dropped around her, savagely their skin would feel the tingling pain of frost form on their limbs sapping strength and any warmth from their bodies leaving cold bruised flesh seared away in a mock heat as frostbite claimed them. Once all of them fell to realize the crippling pain sinking into their systems she'd spring outwards snapping the fragile bodies that were under her chilling effects. Throwing a right across her body to sweep the two there followed by a mirrored left to the opposite end a moment after recoiling her right strike she'd fling body over body before curb stomping the weakened foes. "Stand down! I don't want to break you." She'd be true to her word, if there was anything that got around about Violet its that she didn't take a great pleasure in violence was merely proficient in it. David B. |

Screams could be heard all round as her attack worked beautifully. These kids had no Qi, and weren't really planning for someone like that. They were used to working as a unit and so, showed great tactics in their attack. But as their bodies began to freeze and burn, they cried out in pain. Their leader turned, clearly taken aback by the sudden misfortune.
"What....the hell is with you guys!?"
The students at 259 had all begun to show massive increases in strength. The School Captain, he Correctional Police leader and many others. People like him....the old guard....they were disappearing fast. He clenched his fists. Spreading his legs wide, he bared his teeth. He wasn't about to back down. He wasn't afraid of someone like her, and so he would wave them both forward as though he planned to take them both on. If he got brought down, he wanted to go down fighting.
"C'mon. I'll put you both out, and make a name for myself by beating the Ex-Pillar, Violet!"
That's right. He knew who she was. The entire Pillarship had nearly been eradicated save for Melanie and Emily. Those two...would be a problem for gangs like him. But if he could take on an adult male while fighting off the Pillar, he could get a few of the masses on his side. A bead of sweat rolled down his back, his eyes trained on her and not on his men, who were on the ground clutching their frost-bitten limbs.
"I don't care if you're stronger. I'll still kick your ass!"
He charged forward at Violet, David walking to the right and leaning against the flag pole to watch.

Violet ~~~~~ | A full frontal? Now that was disappointing, no doubt did she believe this boy was capable of backing up his passionate threats but she didn't want to linger on a battlefield for longer than was necessary and he gave her more than an opportunity to dispense of this temporary fight. Still dipped rather low i a horse position she'd extend her left palm out like a lance to catch just beneath his rib cage, her palm would turn over grabbing patch work and some of his gut if there was any to be had with the force he ran at her. Violet's right hand would lurch out and grapple the hem of his shirt catching him by his collarbone and use his charging momentum to hoist the boy over her head and in turn throwing him face down into the floor. Collateral damage. She wouldn't take advantage of him at that point, nor the downed men, giving them all opportunities to rise up again should they want to continue this battle but she had a moral compass still and that told her that she had to give them the chance to rethink their actions. "Not going to happen, best you solve your problems another way." She tried not to make it sound so much like a taunt however there was still a pitch in her voice that sounded a bit too much like Emily. Salt in the wound perhaps? David B. |

As her hand palmed his stomach, his own hand would grab the wrist while his other would snap out a straight jab for her face. If she continued with her move without trying to block, big boy was going flying. He'd slam into the ground, tucking in his head and rolling ass over end several feet. His shirt tore from the impact but....he stood back up. David gave a little smile. Well, it seemed even the nobodies were able to put up a fight. Still, his eyes watched the girl. He was curious now- her name was Violet, and she was an ex pillar. She seemed very slow, but her attack patterns such as that horse stance indicated a willingness to open herself up to blows. She reminded him of another Dragon from when he was younger. The male came to a knee, the skin at his shoulder exposed and scraped. He spat blood, a little dribbling from the corner of his mouth. He had a self satisfied smirk on his lips as he watched her. She was a badass, to be sure. He was fighting a losing battle- he was just thankful the civilian didn't get involved. He came back to his feet, bringing up a fist in such a way that the back of his hand was facing outward as he clenched it her way. His other hand tore whats left of his shirt off, leaving him bare chested.
"Baby, you ain't go nothin' on our leader. Fig would tear you a new one."
He moved forward but this time jumped in the air, aiming a right-handed downward cross for her face. His left hung back to protect himself, just in case.
"FOR CHAOS STRIKE!"

Violet ~~~~~ | Violet would spare little effort to defend herself from the attack in turn whether that be from choice or sheer lack of ability to comprehend counter attacks was up for observers to decide however she didn't even seem to flinch from the oncoming attack shirking it off like nothing. Even his showmanship to establish his strength seemed to have little effect on her esteem rolling her shoulders a bit to stretch those muscles out and put herself to the test. "You had your warning and then some. Guess I have to put you down." She didn't mean deathly of course though a little fear never hurt an aggressor more than need be. As the boy pounced again Violet would lower herself to the ground in a crouch; bringing her left up to block her face and take the blow she'd simply shift her weight by spreading her right leg outwards displacing his descending weight. Her right hand would karate-chop the side of his head or arm should it be blocking before turning into a light grapple providing just enough force to continue his downward movement with accelerated velocity before completely side-stepping and throwing him through with the right into the ground. Upon contact she'd release and take a quick pivoting step back to give her some room to make little alterations, she knew she was on the slow side and needed really whatever time to react she could have. And just like that, our fair hero went down!
The male had brought a hand back to block but was surprised that his own hand hit. So, he blow would blacken his eye as he was sent flying and skittering into the parking lot. He smashed into a pole, bending it a little. He was leaned against it at the base, on his rump with scratches and cuts all over his torso. He stared up at her, one eyes closed as sweat beaded his forehead. Bringing up a fist, he flipped her off before KOing completely. David spoke from behind her.
"Well. How fun. What say we find this little group of his, hm? Chaos Strike, was it?"
It had been so long since David got the chance to get involved in school student politics, and he was eager to see both the school and how the current gang system functioned. He smoothed his tie, finally undoing the button that he had latched before turning back to the school. Letting out a little hum, he'd start on his way up toward the doors, giving her the chance to follow behind!
OOC:
QUEST STARTViolet has discovered some gang that feels it's stronger than anyone around. They attacked her and what appears to be an innocent civilian. At the civ's behest, they now go on the hunt for the gang CHAOS STRIKE!

Violet ~~~~~ | Violet would hesitate momentarily, despite the inhernt rudeness exhibited to her there was still the lingering need to help out the dispersed bodies amongst the ground. "I'll check it out.. but not before these students are attended to." She was no longer a pillar so by all accounts it was no longer her responsibility to deal with them but her obligation as a human being on the other hand kept her from simply moving on. Kneeling down she'd lift the nearest of the boys and sling his arm over her shoulder and do the same with another lending them aid as best she could. Violet would take the time to rally a few other students to help, a small handful to lead them all to the infirmary. If this random civilian had the patience to spare she would in turn join him but not before having dealt with the students first and foremost. If however he did not share her compassion and proceeded on without her she would not bat an eye to the concern opting to stay with the student's instead perhaps interrogate them soon as they came to. David turned back. She...wanted to help those she beat up? This was new. Very few at old 259 spared the thought or time of day for those who were too weak to stand up for themselves. If you got an ass whoopin', you slept it off and when you came to, you took your own sorry ass to the infirmary. He offered the girl a little smile, but would come about fully and head over to help. He would bend to lift the unconscious "leader" of the group, following her to wherever they needed to go.
He didn't want to take control of her actions, in the end. If she thought she had a better way to go in search of that gang than to go kick over stone, he'd let the former Pillar decide. He hadn't intended to get so involved his first day here...and he still had that meeting in an hour or so. But he'd get over it. Who could pass up the chance to help their former school? He let out a little chuckle to himself. Twelve years....and it was so easy to poke a hornets nest.
"You're a Pillar, huh? Or were? How'd that go?"

Violet ~~~~~ | Violet would nod silently affirming his question before releasing a soft "Mhmmm, about as well as you might suspect: Fights broke out, the captain called for matching violence with violence, apparently I was a bit soft for that part." She would shrug before plopping down in a chair in the infirmary next to the leader of the gang waiting patiently until he'd come to. All the while still reflecting on the nature of her position now. No longer was she a pillar so why was she wasting her time here when she could be doing something productive elsewhere, breaking up gang mates was no longer her job. David B. |

David let out a low hum, as though he was trying to think about what she said.
"Unfortunately, School Captains tend to have inherent complexes. They have to believe they are always right and justified- if they don't, and they lose faith in themselves, they'll be frozen in time when it comes to a moment of action. They'll be unsure of themselves. I don't doubt that the Captain, whoever he or she is, feels it necessary to try and stifle all dissidents by force. Newcomers to the position always do."
He would smile a little.
"It's up to people like you to show them another way."
David had a few people years ago who helped. The former Captain. Gang leaders. Close friends. He would give his shoulder a little shrug as he continued.
"At least, that's how it was for me when I was Captain."
