Upon entering the school, Soni Vox , Cale Beoulve and SJ Taylor would be summoned to the classroom of the new history teacher. He was a lanky red head who leaned back in his chair, chewing gum. As they came in to his classroom they would find a sort of make-shift infirmary with three science teachers passed out on the ground and two nurses seeing to them.
He waved them forward.
“Beautiful morning, right? Not so much for these three. A new Gang called BROAD EAGLE took the science teachers down in the courtyard before we could get there. I want you to track down their gang leader and bring him and the gang to heel.”
He would shake his head.
”Can’t have these gangs attacking our school faculty….I picked you three because…uh….you seemed like you’d make a good team.” He couldn’t tell them he just picked randomly from the student list, could he?
“Once your done come back to me, I’ll give you guys a little treat.”

Day two of his enrollment in the public high school system, and already he was being recruited for some inane task.
As Cale walked into the room he quickly took in the sights; teachers beaten and bloodied as medical staff busied themselves around the wounded persons. A single teacher clearly a bit too self important for his own good automatically assuming that whoever he chose for this task would be just all too willing to help. And two other complete and total strangers that he was apparently supposed to work with?
The lean blonde made the wise choice to keep a derisive snort locked away in his throat. At least this would afford him to chance to get some exercise, what with Stevie not allowing him to handle that gang the way he would have preferred. This teacher had no way of knowing what Cale was capable of, which definitely made it hard to believe that he had been chosen for some reason beyond being eligible for the spot, but it was just a means to his end.
"So, does anyone know where they work from?" Cale asked, walking past the other two participants perhaps a bit too brusquely, reaching his right arm up and giving it a warm up stretch for what was to come. "And if I can do this alone, do I get their shares?"

Soni's heart raced at her name being called into a classroom. Great, I haven't even been here for more than a couple days and already I'm in trouble? Veronica's gonna kill me...
Arriving at the classroom didn't help slow her heart rate.. at all. Beat up teachers lay on the ground being checked by nurses, and she was supposed to go.... catch a gang leader?!?! She felt like she needed to sit down, and if she hadn't been taught manners by her caretakers, she probably would have, however she kinda felt like that would be rude. So she managed to keep her legs strong enough to hold herself up. Then the blonde standing next to her... which admittedly was quite the looker, spoke up. He asked for evidence on where they were. Okay, somewhere to start. And then he offered to take it alone. It was already crazy enough they were catching a gang leader, but him doing it on his own?!
Okay, hang on a second, she thought to herself. What kind of school would send their students out to go catch a guy that could like, kill them or something. There's no way. In turn, Soni convinced herself that this was all a test or something, so she went right along. Quite enthusiastically. Anything to get that extra credit.
"No, blondey! You aren't doing this alone. Sir, as the man already asked, do we have any leads on where they could be held up? Was there any evidence on the bodies? Any murder- I mean beat up weapon?" Soni went into full gear, looking at the bodies and making a serious face at the red headed teacher. She had seen enough CSI to know the drill. She was suddenly ready to go catch this "gang leader".

"Seira J. Taylor?"
"Yes?"
"Come with me- the new history teacher requested to see you."
What? New history teacher? SJ frowned.
"I'm sorry, you must have mistaken, but--"
Burrito grumbled a low grumble but otherwise was quite peachy in being led to a classroom that SJ had no recollection of ever being in, period. She was uncomfortable with how they practically forced her into the classroom, but not enough for it to distract her on counting the number of people in the room based on sound.
Picked us three because we'd make a good team? Is this a joke?
... ...
Honestly. It seemed exciting which was the only reason why she was considering it but there was a reason why the teacher chose her, a blind girl as a part of the team, right? RIGHT? There was no way that he randomly selected the students. But what about their classes? Do they make up work? Were they excused? Do their teachers know???
The guy- he was clearly in it for the 'treat', whatever that might be. But SJ...it was the adventure that attracted her. I mean- let's be real. When would she EVER have this opportunity to catch a bad guy in the future?!?! Like, HER!?! And honestly, how bad can this "gang leader" be if the teachers were allowing students to be involved? Right?? RIGHT? And the girl! Whew- she was like a detective, asking some really good questions. But SJ really just wanted to start with one.
"What's this gang called...?"

"No need to get greedy, Vegeta."
Seriously, the dude was more prickly than a saiyan prince! The red head put a hand behind his head and chuckled. There were so many questions. He was....so proud. He shook his head.
"No idea where they are. Last they were seen was in the courtyard by the people on the ground here. And no weapon- just fists and numbers i guess. As for going it alone, Vegeta, I'd recommend not. Then again, You can figure that out among yourselves. You, madam daredevil-" Yeah he was talking to the blind lady. "-are gonna be the leader of this team. So...y'know. Good luck and all there."
He grinned broadly. Again, best not tell them he picked by eenie-meanie-miney-moe as to who'd be the leader. Gotta keep that confidence up.

So he was being expected to work underneath a girl who, from what he could tell, was... visually impaired, and alongside someone who didn't even listen well enough to know what the name of the gang was?
"They're called Broad Eagle," he scoffed at Seira, trying not to roll his eyes, and doing his utmost to ignore the comments on his persona. Pride and confidence often occupied similar spaces, and while Cale was most certainly confident in his abilities, to anyone who didn't know the sort of things he'd managed to do, it would definitely just look like nothing but blind pride.
Of much more relevance to him was the restriction on weapons. "Hey, I joined the SHCP specifically so I'd have free license to use this thing," he gestured over his shoulder to the monumental slab of interlocking blades slung over his back, "and you're telling me I can't even use it??"
The bureaucracy was a lie. Go figure.
He crossed his arms in front of his chest, the muscles down them bulging as he squeezed his limbs between his fists. "... fine." Cale unlatched the strap across his chest, making a point of letting the sword fall to the ground before fully catching it. There was a resounding thunk as Ragnarok hit the ground, the decorations on the walls and desk of the room shaking. "More trouble than its worth to even put this back in my bike. Just keep an eye on it for me."
Cale marched over to the nearest wall and let out a frustrated sigh, leaning up against it and shutting his eyes. "I'm listening. Just say when we're leaving and where we're going."

Soni nodded with oblivious determination. She was just about to answer the other girl's question when the man apparently named Vegeta beat Soni to it.
Suddenly she realized the girl she stood beside wasn't normal, either. Her eyes, her gaze.. They were empty, one that only a blind person possessed. Well, that was just fine. After all, Soni was the one without a mouth. This girl seemed really nice. And, hopefully a good leader. Well, they were literally going to follow a blind leader, but knowing this school she probably had some way to overcome her disability, just like Soni. So, no biggy.
THUD!! The sound startled Soni to the point of giving her a barely noticeable jump, as her attention was abruptly brought to the gigantic sword she hadn't noticed before. How in the world does he carry that thing?? How do you even fight with that?? Wait, WHY ARE THERE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH LEGITIMATE SWORDS?! Her mind danced with numerous questions. Then she stopped herself. Wait, this is just more proof that this is all some drama team or something. A "learning on the job" kind of experience. Yeah, that's it. Soni gave herself a subtle nod of agreement to herself. Then she got her head back in the.... game. This was a game for sure.
"Just say when we're leaving and where we're going," she heard Vegeta say.
"Yeah, Vegeta's right!" Soni replied in response. "I'm ready to go kick some gang butt!" To everyone there would seem to be an excited smile behind the mask she wore. "Do we get like, weapons or something though? That'd be great." Soni mused, yet at the same time she was quite serious as she lightly rubbed the back of her head.

SJ was freaking out over the whole ordeal that she completely missed the info on the gang name and completely made a fool out of herself!! But she didn't care- at least she had an answer!
Annnnnnd......
Interesting.
It was an interesting mix of people gathered together. And now, all SJ wanted to do was back out. Patience is a virtue that one doesn't just magically obtain- it's something built upon from years of experience, and SJ had a buttload of it. But she could see herself clashing with both Vegeta and the girl- both of whom seemed almost too eager to kick ass. But then again- SJ pretty much clashed with almost everyone in this school, since she really, really didn't belong. Unlike most of the student body at 259, SJ chose to come here instead of being forced to.
"I think before we go kick butt, we need to find them and assess whether or not it's in our best interest to engage combat. Also- what are your names?? I'm SJ."
To be fair, there were only three of them. And although they may be strong and knowledgable in tactics, there's only so much one (or two, but definitely not three) can take when overpowered by sheer number. Plus, if they were in a gang, SJ couldn't help but figure that they'd be much, much more coordinated than the three of them could be.
"Like the teacher said... No weapons-"
To be honest, she thought it was seriously stupid of the school to endorse the use of weapons. And, by the sound of it, his weapon just seemed unnecessarily heavy by the sound of the clank and the shake of the room when it dropped to the floor.
"But if I have a pen in my pocket and someone's attacking me, I don't see why I can't use it as a means of self-defense."
Or, to put it more bluntly, she didn't see why they couldn't use everyday objects as a weapon if it was just something they carried on them. Like yeah, the teacher said fists but let's be real. If they ended up at a place where there were pool tables, SJ's going to be throwing balls and smacking people with sticks if it was necessary.
"First lets check out the courtyard- then we'll move from there."

August would grin as/once the people left for the courtyard.
Alright, time to see what gen pop had in them. He would look up at the clock and start timing them. Best to make sure they didn't get hurt in the end.
Once they traded names and got to the courtyard, they would find kids around and milling as usual. Around the other side of the fountain would be some blood and what appeared to be a scuffle. There were papers scattered about, and what looked like one of the bats from the gym/sports locker. It too had some blood on it. Kids eyed them warily, clearly uncertain as what this DYNAMIC trio had in store for them.

Cale was already on his way out the door when SJ mentioned heading to the courtyard, but slowed down a bit after getting into the hallway. He had to remind himself that he wasn't exactly being allowed to handle this on his own, so he waited for the blind girl and the third member to catch up.
"For the record," he said, clearing his throat. "It's Cale. Not Vegeta." He had every intention to nip that in the ass before it went on any longer, a small vein twitching. "And just let me handle it if a fight breaks out. Which, with any luck, there'll be plenty of."
As they entered the courtyard, Cale glanced over all there was to see. He walked towards the fountain, finding it odd that the staff wouldn't have even bothered trying to clean the blood or even pick up the bat left on the ground. Clearly these guys had some connection to the gym. The gawking students parted around him, which was for the better. Not doing so would only accomplish getting bowled over in his wake.
"Alright," he announced, stepping up onto the fountain. "We're looking for Broad Eagle." He made sure to say the name a bit louder, a bit more slowly. "And believe me, we're gonna find them. So if you've got any info, you'd best speak up now. Otherwise..."
He grabbed the bat off the ground and turned to the fountain, gripping it lightly in one hand. The aluminum came smashing against the cement of the structure, shattering a portion and sending a block of it sailing through the air, over the crowd, and safely into the grass.
"... keep in mind that I've got much larger things to swing than a bat."

With the others taking their leave, Soni just kinda muttered to herself inaudibly, "Oh okay, leaving now, got it."
"It's Cale, not Vegeta," the big guy said, with what was a slight sound of annoyance.
"Oh, sorry man. I'm Soni by the way. Nice to meet you guys." Soni's eyes had a happy and cheerful look to them.
As they walked out to the courtyard, Soni's heart seemed as if it had forgotten that it should be racing. However, with the sight of blood and a nearby bat, needless to say it was reminded. But, nonetheless, Soni managed to continue to repeat the words "It's just a test, it's all fake. It's just a test, it's all fake."
"JEDI BUSINESS, GO BACK TO YOUR CLASSES!" She did not shout, because Cale beat her too it....
Annnnnnnddd threatened everyone. Soni sighed. Once he finished, she added to his speech. "He meant to say please. It would be a lot of help and it would stop some bad people. Please and thank you, guys." Hopefully she made up for his rudeness.
She walked over by him and with her right hand up to the left side of her face she muttered with a tad bit of friendly bossiness, "You didn't have to break the fountain, you know. That could cost our grades. Also, try to be more nice. People will want to talk to us more, sheesh," making sure only he could hear her. SJ could probably hear her, but she mainly wanted to keep the crowd from hearing it.
Great, she was probably gonna have to do this for the entire rest of the time they spent. She was gonna have to be the people person. Fantastic. She didn't have any sort of problem with people, it was just the fact that she would have to be the friendly person for not only herself but for another person and constantly correct his... potentially grumpy-like nature.
This was gonna be fun.

Soni and Cale kind of balanced each other out- Soni, for being as excited as she was, had a more friendly aura that made her simply more approachable. Cale, on the other hand, had that blunt no-nonsense mentality to make things go over much more quickly. The two were like good cop and bad cop, and at this thought, SJ smiled to herself as she followed them out, Burrito faithfully trotting beside her.
"Soni is right- the students aren't our targets. Approachability first, and if they don't deliver, we can use brute force and scare tactics."
SJ said in a low voice. She was no doe-eyed optimistic individual; she knew how this school operated. Although a vast majority of the people she encountered were reasonably alright, there were those who simply had that, "IDGAF why should I help you" type of thing going on.
She heard the faint whistling and flapping of papers- the school was pretty good on keeping up with appearances since surprise evaluations were always a possibility- was it not...? Anyway, having spent a lot of time in the courtyard, she never had a run in with garbage. Her head turned towards the sound of paper flapping again because of the wind--
"...are there papers lying around? Do they say anything?"
She hoped one of them would pick it up and read it. Since...she's blind and can't really, y'know.

Cale, who picked up the bat, did not inspect it first. There were a couple spider webs on it- but when he picked it up, those snapped, and so the strings that led off elsewhere broke. (Clue 1/4 Destroyed). When he smashed the stone, people began to scatter quickly! He'd have to pin someone down and hope they knew something in order to get any information out of the freshly terrified students. One or two at the back seemed particularly shifty, and rushed in through the gym doors at the side of the building!
SJ and Soni would indeed find the papers rolling about, written on them a few scribbles. Most of it was water logged and thrashed or torn, but they made out a few words clearly: "Soccer Field", "260" and "Showstopper". (Remaining 1/3 clues found!)
OOC: Total 1 clue found, 1 clue destroyed. 2 Clues Remaining.

OOC: I'm posting out of order because I don't know when I'll be able to post next. I hope that's okay.
She heard the footsteps of the students scurrying away. A long, low sigh would escape her lips- whatever- she would leave the students in Cale's care assuming he'd be able to get the job done in extracting information. It was too late to play nice now because he had already intimidated them with his extravagant and otherwise unnecessary show of strength with that item he picked off the ground and--
Wait.
"Cale, what's that in your hands?"
Again- the courtyard was relatively clean. If Cale responded that it was a baseball bat...
"Cale, can you go check out the student locker rooms? And the gym or sport's room? Here- let's exchange numbers. Soni, you too."
Because sometimes, it might be more efficient to split up, but they still had to remain in contact somehow.
Assuming that Soni had picked up the papers and read them aloud...
"260...? Isn't that a neighboring school?"
Weren't 259 and 260 rival schools or something of that nature? Maybe the next clue was to visit that school- specifically, their soccer fields.
"Hey Soni, is there anything else around the fountain besides the papers? Markings? Blood?"

"Tch," Cale scoffed, keeping his eyes locked on the crowd for any sort of misplaced signs. "It's just a bat. People have already been attacked, so clearly playing nice here isn't the way to g..."
His voice trailed off when he saw the two students ditching towards the gym. Between the bat in his hand and the exit route, he didn't need much more evidence to link the gym to this Broad Eagle group. "Fine," he reached out and snatched her number, resting the bat on his shoulder before sending himself hurtling through the air with a leap, flying straight over the students. "You two sit here and read, I'm gonna go after the assholes that did this!"
He landed and rolled, boots pounding into the grass as he tore across the courtyard to follow them into the gym not long after the doors had closed.
"Alright guys, save yourselves the trouble," he called out, dashing in and taking in his surroundings. "I don't have to beat it out of you if you just tell me."
