Reporting for Duty (Leon/Research)

Then it seemed that he would need to check out these sewers in Long beach. At a later date, it was too far of a detour for his current mission, but it would be a stop in the near future. Even if the culprit was no longer there, it was possible that he would find something to follow. A trail.

He would look through the reports and find the most recent assassination attempt, it would give him a marker of last known activity. Though he'd also look at the dates of each report to try and find a pattern in time between attacks. It could help to predict the next one.

[Leon]

Currently no pattern was obvious besides some kink with the eyes and sewers. Time frames were sporadic and the most recent assassination attempt was two weeks ago.

[Mathew Amtrum]

He would make a note on which attack was two weeks ago.

[Leon]

The attack was on a Researcher known as Alex Geschichte.

[Mathew Amtrum]

Did it appear to be the woman that went for the eyes or the man in the coat that attacked Alex?

[Leon]

Alex reported not being able to see his assailant. Only that they retreated after sustaining an injury in the initial grapple.

[Mathew Amtrum]

He had to assume it was a third assassin as it did not match the previous attacks. He'd go through all of the attacks and compile a list of assassin profiles based on what information was available.

So far there was the man in the coat, the long-fingered woman, and the invisible one.

[Leon]

Those were the only assassins he could find that lived through the reports.

[Mathew Amtrum]

It was probably safe to assume there were more out there. But for the moment those three were the ones that he would worry about. He suspected the invisible one would be the simplest one for him to take down, assuming he could find him or her of course. But in his experience people with stealth-based abilities did not last long once found out.

Though his current leads were this Alex Geschichte, Chris Gunn, Zack Asiv, and the sewers of Long Beach. He was... unsure which was the least attractive option. However, true to his word once he was finished committing the reports to memory he would burn them and scatter the ashes. Then, and only then would he say his goodbyes in preparation to head home and give his report.

[Leon]

The papers! Destroyed! OMG!

A group of people would be there ready to see him off, say goodbye and wave. Weigrif would actually be there to walk him back to town for his motorcycle.

"How did the other Knights react?"

He'd ask as him and Weigrif made their way into town. He was curious how the last day's events sat with the others. He'd never dealt with the Knights of the Round before this mission, he did not have a great gasp on them as a team yet.

[Leon]

"Everyone seems to have taken it well. Merlin couldn't really believe it so he wandered off to 'Talk to the beast and find the source of its intellect' though he went in the wrong direction as usual. We will see him return in a few days."

He said with a shrug more or less.

[Mathew Amtrum]

He would laugh.

"Well, I hope he doesn't get himself killed by insulting him. That would be a shame. I wish you and your people the best, and I hope that with Prota gone that you can find a way to thrive here."

[Leon]

"It was a struggle, but hopefully without Qi beasts food will be easier to come by. We wish the best for you as well."

Weigrif would see Eric off.

With a salute, Eric would mount up on his bike and start making his way back to Cabal so that he could give his report.
