I've Got This... (Leon/Mission)

[Bailey Oleander]

Bailey held off on having the door closed right away, head tilting as she looked up at Kirin. Sil's noises were a good sign from what she coudl tell, excitement and not panic. But if there were other ways in to that area, then she wanted to know how to take care of it before it became an issue. Just in case her panic set in prematurely.

"What other ways are there? I'd like to make sure we don't have any accidents."

[Leon]

Kirin would look back inside the door.

"Mmm, the land is split in two, down this middle line I'd say with a few exceptions. There is a middle path and a far end path, not including this one."

He'd make a swiping motion with his arm metaphorically cutting the tunnels in half.

[Bailey Oleander]

Bailey marks his gestures, then grabs a pen from Alex's workspace and marks it down on the diagram she'd been using as a map, making notes of what he said.

"Thank you, Kirin." She would turn back to the door, mentally asking tree friend to shut it again to be on the safe side. There was no telling what state the scientists would be in. Some sounded feral, or lost, but he'd also said 'most of the time,' and after being locked away with so many years of regret and who knows what kind of experiments, there was just no telling what kind of threats would be waiting.

"Have you heard anything about how they sealed this place the first time? It's pretty elaborate."

[Leon]

"No, from the inside it simply looks like a wall. The others called it a dead end and we have avoided it since."

Sil would speak up this time having gotten over the outside for the time being.

"Something about soul sacrifice. I read it on a computer that had gained life for a few moments in the labs during a scavenger search."

[Bailey Oleander]

A lightbulb could almost be seen going off in Bailey's brain at Sil's words, blinking as she resisted ht surge to look at the tree-bark style glove on her hand.

"That could do it, I suppose. That's a lot of energy." Her stomach started to knot.

"Do you have a name? Or something you'd like me to call you?" The thought was directed at tree-friend.

[Leon]

Tree friend would respond!

"I have forgotten if I have a name... You may name me."

Kirin would look at the closed door.

"How are we to evacuate? Your people are welcoming? Uh, they are like you? Like us? We can begin?"

[Bailey Oleander]

"I see. I will think on it." That was unfortunate, but Bailey held the theory in min for now. She left the promise for the tree, wanting to know them more before giving it a name, though some were already coming to mind.

"We can evacuate them now, if you like. I wanted to make sure nothing would follow us that would be dangerous, but if you believe they are ready and able, we can definitely open it up and bring them with us." She thought hard about how to respond to Kirin's questions.

"The world is full of very different people. Some will accept you, some won't. But where we are going, they are. They'd welcome you." She prepares to open the door again if Kirin believes his people are ready, she'd ask tree friend to open it again with an apology to the spirit.

[Leon]

"If that is our course then we should do it."

Kirin would pronounce with a grin.

"They are strong people, reasonable. They will see it, this is the right choice. And with people to help and welcome us, it will be easier."

Sil had to add before scooping up their belongings.

"I will remain here, Kirin can go inside to explain things. Miss you should probably go too so they do not believe him to have gone Feral."

[Bailey Oleander]

She nodded at the input, letting the door open before turning her attention to Sil.

"I will. My name's Bailey, by the way. It's nice to meet you." She'd nod to Kirin, ready to go whenever he was. It woudln't do to have the open world given to him, only to be denied and sent away where he might never see it again.

[Leon]

Alex would call after them as they re entered the tunnels.

"I will guard the door with the soldiers to make sure everyone leaves safe."

Kirin would give a fist to the air, must be a gesture they use. Heading back inside they would go to a large common area in the shape of an octagon where people did regular activities and discuss things amongst themselves. Everyone sniffed once they got in there and looked at Bailey's blonde hair. She may notice EVERYONE had white, silver, or grey hair. With similar light shades of eye colors or red.

"Everyone! This woman is named Bailey!"

Whispers amongst the crowed as they gave him their attention.

"She has discovered us and opened a whole new area for us. Resources are everywhere and people not our own willing to take us in and help us. Please, do not take our word for it, just come take a look!"

They watched confused, some scoffed and ignored Kirin, while others would follow towards the door.

The next few minutes seemed to stretch forever as people came outside amazed, running back inside to get others, pack, discuss things. Some so afraid of leaving it was difficult to help them out. And thats when they would hear it. A screech from the dark side tunnel. Everything after would fall silent and still.

She did notice the washed out colors of the people down below. From what she understood, it was probably part experiments and genetics, and part the fact they'd been underground for so long. She took in the amount of people there, noticing she had one flaw already.

They weren't all going to fit in one vehicle. Furthermore, getting them to a place where a plane could land wasn't necessarily an option. They'd need a few trips.

She'd use the radio to call in to the Professor, mostly because she wasn't sure if Leon would even be on the same line!

"Professor? How many spare vehicles do we have? We have a small evacuation." Minor. Ha---

That noise. Bailey froze, pivoting on her heel to turn towards the unholy sound coming from the dark. Everyone - everyone - had fallen silent and still as death.

"Everyone out," she said softly. "Quickly. Don't push each other." She'd look for Kirin, her guide of sorts for this place and his people. It felt like every breath, every word was too loud.

"One of the scientists?" Please tell her this is something she can throw a pan at and it will go away. Her bones felt like they could still feel the scream.

[Leon]

Kirin shook his head and he slowly looked to Bailey as the people still flooded out quickly.

"Ferals."

Then the radio kicked back on.

"Oooohhhhh~ I brought one and the soldiers have two, plus yours I'd say we have~! Four!"

The flamboyant and loud response, issued another roar from within. Kirin's teeth bared and his hands formed claw's showing the sharpened nails as he growled.

"Fine! It's a fight then!"

Some of the other men did the same! Some caught fire, some sparked, some made weapons, others grew muscles. A vast array of abilities on display.

[Bailey Oleander]

Bailey winced at the Professor's loud voice. She wished she'd had someone else to call on, though they did seem reliable. "Get them to the tent we have set up with Alex's supplies as quick as you can. We're going to need return trips - and please hold off on responding!" Her voice was still quiet as she rattled off the request and turned to the people. Some were baring teeth, many of them ready to fight. Others still had women and children.

"Those who can't fight, please keep going!" She would turn down the radio until it was all but silent.

As much as her instincts told her to run, she stayed, swallowing a knot that continued to grow in her throat. What had set them off? Her hands went to her escrima sticks, noting all the powers once more and understanding that support may be her best option, but she would do what she could.

"What do I need to know when fighting them?" Her voice wavered with the question.

[Leon]

"whatever restrictions you have, they don't. They will use every power they have all at once to over power and destroy you. They do not plan, plot, or have rational ideas. They just want to be the alpha."

With that people were caught inside the tunnel still trying to escape. The warriors ran forward and there was a mass of yelling, energy, elements, horrible sounds. Some broke through coming towards the escaping people!

[Rhona Hall]

Trucks pulled up on location. Rhona had been called into the place along with assembling a recovery team. When she heard who it was she was recovering she could not have geared up fast enough. Rhona crawled through the window and held up a hand signaling the others to stop, followed by a swaying finger to set up in place. Surrounding the area. She'd spot John getting out of another vehicle and hop on him.

"Heard anything new from the Captain?"
