I've Got This... (Leon/Mission)

[Leon]

Just a lab coat, no name to be seen, however he looks up.

"Yes well, Supervisor Sudeki sent word forward that you would be the head researcher in this, so how about we get you oriented and started?"

He seemed a little less than full of manners, but it wasn't clear if he were being snooty on purpose or not.

[Bailey Oleander]

If he was being snooty, it went over Bailey's head; she figured he was absorbed in whatever work he had before him. She wasn't sure how to address him, so she'd wait and see how someone else addressed him.

"Sounds good." Nodding, she'd follow the mystery man, already waiting for whatever information he might have.

[Leon]

He would lead the way to the primary research tent.

"In my most recent report, that I have yet to send; mentions the discovery of multiple entry points around the once city. Each exactly the same as the last, suggesting an underground network of sorts. I have also found some markings that look as though they are meant for insertion though as far as it being a magic 'key hole' is doubtful."

He'd hold the flap of the tent open for her to enter and follow behind. The tent was rather large and housed one of the doors spoken of int he files.

Bailey followed with a nod, stepping aside as she entered the primary research tent and taking in the door in question. She made her way to the door with quiet hum, taking in the qualities as well as the symbols mentioned if they were there.

"Do the other entrances have anything in common? Similar types of places, anything like that?"

[Leon]

They were in fact present, and easily visible. A circular hole in the middle with three curved slits around it.

"They are all just exactly the same, perfectly similar. No variation in design at all, even the exact same dimensions."

[Bailey Oleander]

Bailey's gaze lingered on the symbol as she spoke, finger tapping on her chin. "Theoretical, then, something could also come out of any of those same doorways." There had to be more than just precision.

"Have you found any other symbols similar to it in the city?"

[Leon]

He stayed silent to her speculation of something coming out of the doors.

"We have found nothing similar, though before the discovery of the doors we were not searching for it. If we did it likely has been repurposed for the territories needs."

[Bailey Oleander]

That seemed a dead end, then. If there had been symbols, they probably weren't noted specifically. But Bailey did look up at him with her next question.

"The report did mention signs of electronics, but no power source or panel. What signs have you found?"

[Leon]

"Ah."

He would motion for her to approach a table.

"We've mapped each entrance around the city we have found and there is a central point which was an old power plant. However when the war broke out whatever bombs or nano tech they used wiped out our ability to use electricity, explosives, gun powder, etc. Which means my theory is it was drawing power from this plant somehow and when the bombs wiped out its power source it's been in lock down since. Twenty years it's been closed off most likely. However, the team that has been going through what survived of old files and diagrams can not find how it is connected. We don't really have anyone that was an electrician from pre war times."

[Bailey Oleander]

Bailey nodded at the explanation, letting him speak before continuing her own investigation.

"Can I take a look at these diagrams, Mr...?" Because she needs to know who she's talking to, already pulling possible ideas together. She didn't hae any electrician's experience, but if there was a diagram, then there may be something more to work with.

[Leon]

As if sudden realization set in he adjusted his glasses with a grimace.

"Ah... Yes my apologies. I'm Alex Geschichte, I'll get those diagrams."

He'd rummage through a pile of what appeared to be messy documents, scrolls and books, pulling out a scroll and unraveling it on the table. It showed the locations, the power plant and the diagram of cables, converters, generators, and towers.

[Bailey Oleander]

Bailey traced a finger over the lines from their current location along the diagram, nodding at the introduction.

"Thank you, Mr. Geschichte. As for this, I'd like to follow this path to the power plant." She pointed to the most direct route on the diagram. "I might be able to pick up on something along the way."

[Leon]

"I'll have a soldier escort you."

A soldier wearing obvious field gear. Black long sleeve shirt with shoulder guards and elbow plates. A tactical vest with an inlay armor, black cargo pants and boots. He'd wait to follow Bailey on her trek up to the power plant.

[Bailey Oleander]

"Thank you." Bailey nodded and removed her escrima sticks from her bag, nodding a greeting to the soldier when he came in. The uniform was nondescript, and it was good to knwo she wasn't completely alone on her way.

Along the way, Bailey's focus would shift towards the energy of the dig site. She'd been advised that the new-age energy didn't work, or couldn't, with the current setup, but she hoped to find some hint of energy, or be able to pick up any changes along the route as they neared the power plant.

[Leon]

Bailey was able to sense something. Though it was more like a pulse or energy instead of a stream. It pulsed through something beneath her leading to the power plant.
