No place like Home (Bailey/Leon)

[Leon]

The man at the top of the pile would spot Blake and smile wide. Moving down to greet Blake. Standing with his large blade held next to him, tip in the ground.

"Just the warrior we were waiting for... We heard what happened back home. We figured you would head this way. Some of us got a little impatient waiting for you and we ended up doing this for you instead of joining you."

[Blake Oleander]

"You're thoughtfulness honors me, Brothers. Though I am unsure as to why you would be waiting for me."

The Elders had made their thoughts fairly clear...

[Leon]

He'd look a little confused.

"Well you are one of us now, right? We developed Qi while you were gone. We have Monster like beast forms. We were banished for it."

[Blake Oleander]

"I was... Unaware. Why were you not also sent to Cabal then?"

There was a fluttering in his chest. Something akin to hope. There were others like him.

[Leon]

He nodded.

"According to the Elders... We either left or were executed. One of us coming from their Qi free society was bad enough. Admitting to four over the process of a few months? Unthinkable. Besides, you sent them enough reports they didn't see a reason to use Qi against Qi."

[Blake Oleander]

"I see."

His shoulders loosened.

"Where have you been staying? How long have you been infected?"

[Leon]

His eyes narrowed slightly at the choice of words.

"We stuck together. Made huts in the wilds and watched the roads for you. Luckily enough one of our gifts was an intense increase to senses. Brill over there heard you coming and heard you conversing with the female. I was the first to find out I had this power a few days after you were sent away. Say got his a week later, and Brill got his a week ago."

He'd smirk a bit.

[Blake Oleander]

"Do you think something triggered these abilities in us? It seems an awful lot of us to manifest these powers in such a short time. Maybe someone tainted a well or something?"

It was weird that no one had powers and then suddenly four of them did.

[Leon]

The guy thought about it. It had occurred to him something strange was happening, considering Qi its self was supposedly rare in the world.

"I'm unsure. From your reports I would suspect it was inevitable. I'm not so educated as to say for sure. My whole life has been to wield this blade in the name of our people. Not really to ponder the ways of the world."

[Blake Oleander]

"I wish things were still that simple for us."

With 64 destroyed, however, there was the question of what they were to do next. Their people didn't want them, and now their enemy was destroyed.

[Leon]

The slender male with the poney tail would walk up, with a stoic expression. And look around for a moment.

"Jake... Would it be far for us to set up... Here?"

Jake would look at the man and then to Blake.

"Set up?"

The other male would walk over as well. He was younger than them.

"Yeah, Jake. Set up. We could run sixty four. Be the Elders for a change. If more of us change they could come here."

Jake would scratch his chin, unsure, shaking his head a bit.

"That is a big decision."

[Blake Oleander]

"It would be a way to ensure that 64 does not threaten 63 though. We would likely need to push outward in another direction to secure food and water so that 63 may have the shared water supply in peace."

It might actually be a worthwhile idea.

[Leon]

Jake scoffed and laughed all in one at the prospect of it.

"Is it really possible for four people to found a territory? Not sign any treaties or join the accords? It seems more daunting than destroying a territory."

[Blake Oleander]

"We can try it or continue to wander in the lands of others as vagabonds. I don't intend to return to Cabal, but that is an option you may consider. They will take you in."

[Leon]

Jake would shake his head and sigh.

"Alright... How do we operate? How do we run things? Also if we are to run this place... Maybe we should put out the fire? Or move further from this town and leave it as a warning."
