Tickets to the Gunn Show (Leon)

He'd had a little time to recover after his last mission, and had even gotten a glimpse of what his Crystal wanted from him.  The lifeforce of powerful Qi Beasts.  To what end, he could not say.  But that was beside the point for now.  What was more pressing were the assassination attempts that had not been reported, and one of them would be from a Mr. Gunn.  A survivor of his encounter, and thus a living witness.  He could be what Eric needed to get closer to the truth.

Eric was waiting at the specified meeting place.  A park several miles from Cabal, his back would be to a tree as he scanned the area to try and spot him coming.  And more importantly, anyone that might be tailing him.

[Leon]

After a short meeting with Leon in his jail cell Chris knew where to be. Wearing normal clothes, yet keeping his sword at his hip he made his way to the park. Spotting the one from the file he would approach and sit on the bench without saying a word. He was told to answer questions not make small talk.

Eric would note he could not make out or spot any obvious tails.

Eric would take up a spot next to him on the bench, satisfied that he wasn't being followed at the moment.

"I would like to hear about the attempt on your life. And the one that tried to take it."

[Leon]

Chris would nod.

"It was after dark. I was doing a patrol on foot for a change. I heard scraping coming from a storm drain and suddenly this thin pale figure was upon me. I barely had time to draw my blade and defend myself. This warriors claws where sharp enough to withstand my blade. It cut me a few times and washed sharp teeth. I cut it across the back before I could use my Qi it escaped."

Obviously just facts within the event.

"Can you describe your attacker? My report says it was female? But do you have a description?"

[Leon]

"Yes. Female is the only thing I could really tell you of any substance. Pale ash colored skin, white hair, red eyes. Looked more bone and monster than person. However the scraping sound from the storm drain never ceased until I moved to inspect. I'd also say her limbs were longer than an average person, at least in the arms."

He'd explain as he looked around just as suspicious of his environment as Eric was about his arrival.

It wasn't a lot, but it might be enough. The white hair and red eyes along with the bony body were pretty specific, and couple that with the sewers back in Long Beach and he thought he had a good idea of who was behind this. Not the good news he was hoping for, he'd hoped her and her ilk had died in the war. But if he survived it made sense that they would as well.

"The good news is I think I know who your attack is. A woman named Vespyr."

[Leon]

Chris looked at Eric for a moment, seemingly contemplating the name, and that Eric had such knowledge.

"I've heard of this female from what small records there are of events directly following the start of the war... It was before I was old enough to fight."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"I went to school with her, and I don't know much about her beyond her name and the fact that she is a bloodthirsty bitch. And apparently hard to kill."

She'd survived this long.

[Leon]

Chris thought only momentarily formulating his own question.

"Why the curiosity into the attack?"

It had been some time and it obviously wasn't the only violent issue he's had ever. But it being investigated by a brother of the Dragon Core, felt different.

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Because I believe it is connected to other attacks on our people. And considering the assassins have not been killed I imagine they will strike again."

[Leon]

Chris nodded at the answer, simple and straight forward. He could respect that.

"Well if you figure it out and intend to make a move, I'd love a second shot at her."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"She is hiding out in the sewers in Long Beach California most likely. Likely the same place she hid out during the war. Their fort may still stand, or it may not. But the only way to find her is to do it on her turf."

[Leon]

Chris would look at the ground momentarily, before checking his surroundings again.

"That sounds irritating. However no one is better at scouting than me. Even if it's under ground I can find it."

To demonstrate Chris's left eye would change to the familiar Seikatsugan. Lifting his left index finger up he would touch it to his left eye brow over the Seikatsugan. A few feet in front of them a small Seikatsugan eye would appear looking around.

"I just have to be within the area."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Then it would seem prudent for me to ask you to accompany me to Long Beach. I suspect we will find at least three of our would-be assassins waiting for us. It is a situation that I think two warriors would be better than one."

Since they would be at a disadvantage location wise. Neither of them would know the sewers as well as the rogues.
