Shake it Up (Eric)

So she didn't strike him when his back was turned. A missed opportunity. But honorable. He'd turn as stone moved up his body under his clothing, hidden from view, finally looking at her as he stared her down.

"You gonna kill me by standing there?"

[Bailey Oleander]

She would wait until he faced her, the taunting already started. She wouldn't shake her head, keeping her target in sight as she'd been told. The frown deepened as death continued to be the focus of his words.

"No." And with that, she would rush at him, ducking to the left to strike at his torso, testing to see if he would throw the rocks from before and if the blow would land.

He'd say, taking the hit without moving an inch. Her sticks would hit him, but it was like hitting a rock. If so, he was already disappointed.

The sound of wood against stone rang out in the clearing, the blow ineffective. She grunted in expectation, remembering how hard it was for anyone to land a blow last time. But now he was letting her come close to him, then, for whatever reason. If she was going to strike him down, it would likely be best to go hard and fast. Faint lines like spiderwebs in sunlight appeared on her arm for a moment before striking him again!

Her impact struck him again and this time the stone under his clothing would shatter and break. Her attack much more potent, this was something that he was looking for. Not a lot of people could break his defense like that. Unfortunately for her, that also triggered his own attack. As he'd lunge his right arm for her, the stone around his arm under his shirt shooting forward into a spiked blade coming out from under his wrist. He'd aim to impale her in the shoulder, striking downward in an attempt to slam her and impale her to the ground with the spike.

"A bit better."

OOC: Level 7 - Alchemize - Eric can combine two of his abilities with Alchemize to create a single new ability. (Can not surpass 125% Energy, Using Alchemize with two other abilities only uses 1 use through Alchemize its self)

So instead of spending 3 uses, you only spend 1

This was definitely not her normal training.

Bailey's eyes widened as she gasped, the sudden burn of metal piercing skin, tearing through flesh and tissue as he stayed close and stabbed her in the shoulder. The little blonde hit the ground like a doll as he slammed her downward, head striking the ground below. Sparks scattered along her vision with the blow like small white dwarfs, her breath hitching in her throat.  She'd been hit by the scorpion's laser before, but this was different. 

The shock was settling in.

He'd stand up, the spike detaching from his body to stay in her and keep her to the ground unless she pulled it out or something. Taking a step back he'd slam a foot into the ground to send a blunted pillar up under her back, intending to smash it into her spine and remind her that he isn't joking.

"Did you think I was not serious about what we would be doing?"

He warned her.

She had been. Apparently, she was wrong. Bailey gasped, crying out as the blunted spike slammed into her spine, driving her further in with the spike. Her lungs burned, her back stinging and tingling as she reached over to pull out the spike as quickly as she could. He could get away with more if she was pinned. Gritting her teeth, she would pull it out and hurl it aside, rising to her feet with staggering balance.

He meant it, then. Recreate it over and over again, or kill her. She'd rush him again intending to strike a blow with the stick with her good arm, her breathing heavy and teeth clenched together as she would strike at his head, instead! It was the only part the rock didn't seem to cover.

She was stronger than he had expected, and he was pleased to see her getting back up. But unfortunately, the fight was already decided. As she started toward him he'd lift a hand and snap his fingers. The ground would start to rumble a moment before huge hunks of stone slammed upward toward Bailey and the Qi signature that he tagged her with. It was time to see if she was better equipped to handle it this time.

Stone Tomb - If Eric has struck someone with one of his elemental attacks he has left his magnetic signature on them. This allows him to activate it as a beacon to bring stone and metal up from the area to slam and crush the target adding his energy stat to his attack. Afterward, the signature dissipates. The attack is announced by intense tremors of the Earth as the rock and metal is ripped from the ground.

Her eyes widened at the sound of the rumblings below, as though the earth were waking after a long hibernation. She knew that attack, and knew that she was going to suffer if she didn't do something.

She would boost her defense, the webs appearing around her like a second as she would dodge to the side, but it wouldn't be enough.  The rock would strike her fully.

She hated this attack.

He'd walk up to the entombed Baily, taking a moment to walk around it and knock to send another blunted pillar into her gut.

"Is that your killer instinct?"

[Bailey Oleander]

A muffled sound of pain would come from within the tomb as the pillar plummeted into her stomach, choking on the gasp that came with it. She pushed against the rock, closing her eyes as she tried to keep a clear head. Her breathing came in short gasps, as much from the result of the attack as the fact she was stuck in a tomb once more.  She was a sitting duck here, but she was also all but spent. It was like a worn muscle being overstretched, but she would give it her all one more time, punching against the stone to try and break free of her prison.

She had to try.

And for the second time, she was able to punch through his stone creations, showing off a strength that was surprising considering her meek demeanor. It was not often that he was surprised, but this girl had managed to do so, through raw physical strength. It was a far jump from where she had been only weeks before. And that more than anything had him curious.

"Impressive. But can you sustain it?"

He'd slam his foot down on the ground, sending a wave of sharpened stakes of stone at her, erupting from the ground in front of her!

Stone fell and dust rose as Bailey found herself back in the light. Had she really just done that? She'd actually broken through!

But she didn't have time to rest on her recent victory, already being pushed to do more, to pull more from herself as the assault continued. Again the flickering of web-like lines surrounded her body as she would boost her defense, swiping away the rocks that came at her directly with one of her escrima sticks. She would lash out at Eric again, the stick aimed for his gut to knock the breath from him!

"We'll see."  Probably not.

Sometimes the only way to learn a lesson is to have it pounded into you until it sticks. Stone continued to work it's way up from Eric's feet and up his clothes to reform his hidden armor while Bailey emulated the Kool-Aid man, smashing through it with seeming ease. By the time she was back and striking at him he was ready for her once more. He let her stick strike him, his armor absorbing the impact this time even as the vibration of her attack triggered the stone spikes to erupt from his body right at her.
