Everything was happening so fast he didn't have a lot of time to process anything, let alone think terribly far ahead. He woke up and found out his people were all nearly dead, and he was now their leader. Jake was dead, and he didn't even know where to begin. He didn't know how he felt, what he wanted to do, or anything. It was just... too soon.

She'd let the silence rest for a few moments before standing again.
"I should probably let you rest while you can. You're going to have a lot of people looking in after you." No matter that they were his people and ones he had loyalty to; he had just woken up after being unconscious for three days. The energy required for that alone would be draining.
