She found a regular place to hang and made a name for herself. After a drunk called her stumpy and she made him kiss the floor she had been back and greated like she had been there for years. The burly men and leather bound women often got around and told interesting stories and she had a few of her own. They liked them for sure and she'd joke it was because of the accent. Still she'd not mind.
"An' that was when 'im find out the criminal 'imself was the fukin' cat the 'ole time!" the whole corner of the room erupted in a drunken laughter with Avice finishing her story with a well sold punch line.
It was then one asked how she lost her limbs. One that was asked often and Avice played every time like it would be told at a later date honestly it is likely why these people kept coming back. They wanted to know...
"Oi, that not be a grand tale I can say that for sure." she chuckled as one hairy shoulder knudged her
"Dont be harsh on yourself." he pointed to a gnarly scar across his cheek. "This one I got because I mistook my exwife for her twin sister. Cant be much worse."
She looked at him and smiled. "More a mattar of me pride went with them that day. Bein' dragged all an' about, for what? I am two libs short an' I feel like a fool..." soured the mood real quick before tossing back a beer and excusing herself fron their company.

There was a time to drink and a time to think, and usually they didn't mix well. Rozalin found herself remembering that as she swirled her glass, the amber fluid circling and rising like a crest on the ocean. She'd come to forget, a little, especially since she was going off soon further inland. Because these self-imposed leaders demanded it. Because it was their law.
Disgusting.
So here she was, drinking it away, wondering why things had be so silent back where she'd come from and hating herself for even wondering. So it might seem like she'd been bluffing. Pirate, right?
Another shot down, and Roz moved on to the stronger stuff as she listened to a dark-haired maidens fanciful tale of crimes and cats and pride. That was another thing; seedy bars like this had some of the most interesting people, though it dawned on her that the woman in question did actually seem familiar. Pale skin, flowing dark curls, a bit of an accent that felt out of place here on the west coast. Even Rozalin herself joined in the laughter, chuckling in a tone that was drowned out by the others.
And then someone went and asked it. Her eye twitched, but she didn't comment as someone asked about her limbs. The young woman seemed quite capable of handling herself, which was good. Missing leg or no, she'd have to find her own strength to stand on.
"Well then, ye'd best pick one and get start gettin' it back," she said with a smile as she slid off of her seat and made her way over to the familiar face. "Real question is, is it yer missin' bits draggin' you 'round, or pride?"

Avice stopped in her stride and raised a brow at the woman. Seeing her eye patch almost immediately too. Avice chilled her original thought of telling her to mind her own business but still a bit in the mood it wouldn't be said with a smile.
"Aye wouldn't ya like to know..." she looked at the woman again. "I be seein' ya 'round Cabal 'ave I not?"

"Actually, it's none of my business, but you flogging yoursef isn't exactly subtle." She gave the girl a grin and leaned against the table with a nod.
"You have, don't worry. We haven't worked together, but it's not the first time I've seen you. Never did catch your first name though. Just know Prota was more than happy to have you riding in their lap for a chance to help."

"Aye... Fuk that Prota..." she scoffed. "I thought Cabal 'ad nasty secrets, but I know Prota is nothinnothin'n ominous storm brewin' on the 'orizon."
She stuck her only goot hand out to the woman. "Avice Locke..." wait to get the introduction out of the way before Joining her at the bar where she sat. "And I'd agree with ye, but some times I just feel like bein' pissy. I punchin' a wall and go off smiling... Is not enough. Fukin' 'ate this place." she shook her head and tapped the bar to request her usual.

At least she had something of a head on her shoulders, even while drunk. Good.
"Fuck them all, darlin'. Fuck 'em all." She ignored her own accent slipping on the darlin', a bit drawl creeping in even after all these years. She'd clasp Avice's hand of her own, with a firm grip and calloused fingers from a lifetime of labor.
"Rozalin Kendal. Nice t' meet another lass who can hold her liquor." She raised two fingers for the order, willing to try what the girl normally ordered. Sometimes surprises were nice.
"Nothin' wrong with punchin' walls, just wondering which one we get to punch next."

She chuckled. "I been drinkin' since I was eight. When your make your guardian unable to deal with yar shit until aftet she's had some wine they learn to keep a healthy stash for the rest of us to get in more trouble with. That and this Qi shitte got me cycling every thing I ingest to go up in smoke." she took a flask and added whatever it was to her drink. The drink itself was just to give her own stash some flavor. The bar keep didn't seem to mind as long as she paid for what she ordered.
But she shook her head. "But honestly I think I am done with the punching walls phase now I just accept it happened and learn from it." she tossed back half the faded caramel colored whiskey and waved in motion it as she kept talking. "To be 'onest it opened up a bit of somethin for me. But what gets me blazin' though is those selfless blokes who think you need them and the ones who think you'll regret not having them. I'll not beg and I'll not be still." she grumbled. Realizing she dropped a lot of drama on the table to someone sje hardly knew. "Apologies, lots 'appened."

Roz let the girl unload as she saw fit, idly swirling the glass without drinking. Not that it mattered. At the end, however, her brows raised and she set the glass down on the bar with an audible thud.
"Well, good for you for moving forward. And honestly, fuck them." She shrugged. "Whatever they think they need or you think they need, screw it. Graduate and move on, or prove the wrong."

She pointed to Roz with a growing grin. "Exactly!" she tapped a hand on the bar confirming exactly right. how it was going to work just like that.
"I didn't even want to be in Cabal first of all. But now that I am here best be getting some work done." she tilted her head to one side to release some tension with a couple of pops.

Well wasn't that just interesting? Rozalin raised a brow and chuckled, nodding along with the heated declaration from Avice about how she hated Cabal. She couldn't say she didn't feel the same way, she was just less...vocal about it. Not that she didn't agree. She hopped up on the stool, it swaying only slightly with the backward motion as she landed like a cat.
"Well, a girl's got to have hobbies." She eyed the other woman with interest. "What's this job now? Being a free little bird?"

She shrugged. "Kinda. I s'pose... Might as well take advantage and figure out exactly what that means."
"What about yarself?" she'd ask roz taking some attention off herself.

"Me?" Roz grinned at the deflected question, leaving it alone. "I'm here for the fresh air and good company, of course."

She chuckled. "Now that I dont have to use my Qi to sense that isnt true." she took a drink. "However it be fine if ya dont say so. I'll not pry."

"Well it's not all a lie," she admitted with a sly smile, tipping up the glass. "Not here for the drink, not this stuff anyway. The company, however, remains to be seen." For now.
"Interesting little trick with the qi you've got. I imagine you can have all kinds of fun with it." She knocked a foot up on the bottom rung of the stool, resting her arm on her knee.
"Let's just say some of us enjoy a bit of escape."

"I can agree with that." escaping was something she did well at for sure. "Oi that Qi isnt too bad... 'elps me to see where my eyes fail me. Since I dont see colors at all. But recently I can even sense the strength and trail of a person's Qi."
