The stitches worked to hold him in place and the metal spike pierced the scientist who groaned, but didn't;t really seem that effected until Mitsoumi pointed the rapier at the metal spike. He would fire a blue Lightning bolt at the metal through the rapier, holding the bolt as the scientist began to fry.

Once the scientist had internally combusted and the fat in his body having finally caught fire, Mitsoumi would stop, and smile turning back to the two.

Mitsoumi would laugh, and continue past the scientist to the first energy signature.
A crystal for sure in a hallway with damage to the walls and floor. Eric would notice a dagger, next to another make shift teleport crystal.

He would pick up the crystal and then the dagger, using his Qi to see what he could sense from it.

Eric can sense an echo from the crystal.

He'd pull the second crystal out of his pocket and place it with the new one, looking to see if it amplified the signal as he tried to trace the direction the echo was coming from. Or more specifically since he assumed it was all around them, where it was strongest.

Mitsoumi would scoot closer and closer to Bailey, looking away and minding his own business. When Bailey wasn't paying attention he would reach over and pinch her butt.
Eric notes it does amplify the signal, but the echo is coming from the crystal its self.
