Cracks in the Mask (Bloodline Assignment/Leon)

[Leon]

With that Leon would reach into his best pocket and pull out an old beat up chocker collar with some sort of metal plates with buttons and electronic parts.

"No."

Was his answer as he held the collar out to her.

"I used this. It eats qi energy, keeps it from over flowing or bleeding over. However it makes you weaker, docile. Removing it... Makes everything worse, the power expands and breaks through any emotional or mental blocks and there is no telling when it will calm down enough for you to put it back on."

[Bailey Oleander]

She took the collar with a wary grasp when he handed it to her, looking it over as she listened to what he found for his solution. A collar, restraint. Something beyond him to keep him docile, as he put it. Muted. But if it ever came off, things were worse.

"So it basically cages what's there," she mused as she handed it back to him. That wasn't control. That was a ticking time bomb for anyone who had the strength to remove it. She didn't know if she would, or if she'd reach a point in her life where it was too much, but it wasn't control. It wasn't what she wanted; it just reinforced a situation she dreaded.

"If it comes off, it's what you don't want to happen, but worse. More potent."

[Leon]

Leon would take the relic and place it back inside his best pocket.

"That's why I said I never found a way to control it."

[Bailey Oleander]

"I see." Tension she didn't realize she was holding eased in Bailey's shoulders as Leon put the collar away, the black and red around her swirling with a stronger rush for a second before fading, echoing the build up of her own dread for where the conversation was going to go.

"Then I will have to find a way, somehow. Or another way."

[Leon]

Leon would fold his arms.

"Well while you are looking, it's been decided to move you out of a squad. You will be given the rank of Special Commander and two squads will be placed under your command. This limits your field duty to command and overwatch to limit your combat needs. This also frees you up for ambassadorial duties that you chose to undertake."

[Bailey Oleander]

She blinked at the revelation, brows raising as it was explained further she'd be in command of others. It did make sense, however, and she found herself nodding in agreement with the decision. There would be less chance of her losing control in the heat of battle without collaring her or having her without any duties. One squad, she knew: John and Rhona, though she hadn't seen either of them in a while.

"Thank you." She'd have to look into who the other squad was. Her fingers ran along the blanket as she mulled over what else the change could lead to.

"Are you alright with giving me that power? To speak with other Territories for Cabal?"

[Leon]

Leon would nod along when she spoke.

"Of course. Because I'll be with you every step of the way."

[Bailey Oleander]

That actually brought a smile to her face.

"In that case, there are a couple of things I'll need to take care of first, but I do appreciate it." Not that there had been much doubt in her mind; the timing, however, had made it difficult to say yes without immediately diving into it.

[Leon]

Leon would nod.

"Like what?"

When he said every step he meant it. At this point he was stuck to her, to monitor her qi and help her control it.

[Bailey Oleander]

"Before the tournament, I was going to see about taking leave long enough to go with Blake when he was healed. We were going to go to my home to see if they'd be willing to join his territory." She rubbed her hands over her face as the what-if situations started to play over in her head. That was a lot longer than just the walk to Territory 63, and she'd chosen not to be collared. Either that would have to change long enough for that to happen and she dealt with the backlash, or something else would have to take place.

"But that's assuming he'll wait for me to finish healing, now." She pressed her fingers against her eyes for a moment before letting them rest by her sides again. For all he'd let her in, she wasn't one of his people. They would come first, as they should. Part of her worried she wouldn't be able to, anyway, but if she was allowed duties as an ambassador, she was at least able to understand that wouldn't be the major issue.

[Leon]

"I'll go with you as an escort to watch and maintain your power should it slip through."

He'd lean back in his chair and sigh.

"Well there is something we can do to fast pace the healing. Tastes like garbage and I've only got one left."

[Bailey Oleander]

It was an acceptable alternative if Leon was willing to do it. Bailey would nod in agreement, pausing at the fast pace healing.

"Oh?"

[Leon]

Leon would grab one of the Christmas bells tied to his belt and crack it open. A small tear shaped blue pill looking thing and holding it up.

"This is called an Immortals Tear. The last one I know of."

[Bailey Oleander]

Her brows rose at the impressive name as she eyed the pill.

"What all does it do? Besides speed my healing?"

[Leon]

"Well, you know the baby shit smell? Mix that with disease ridden hobo ass, and sweaty uncleaned, UTI vagina. Now imagine you can taste that. Other than that it near instantly heals any wound."
