Elias throws himself backwards, towards the ground, earning himself a nice deep cut along the stomach.
However, he knows cod up as he does so, aiming to try and knock the blade out of Leon’s hand! It might be futile for now, but it was good practice for the future.

The sword was successfully knocked from his hand, but Leon would swing his other fist downward to smash into Elias face.

Elias’ head would basically bounce off the ground after he’d been struck in the face, and he lies there dazed.
Evidently, he hasn’t quite improved enough, just yet.
