Blake would leave and gather who remained here with him and his things before leaving the gate. He would need to make it home in time for war. But he'd have some time on the trek for questions of his own to a source he did trust. Virgil.

"It does not matter to them how you do- they had you outnumbered one hundred to one, so they feel odds in their favor to simply overwhelm the territory. That is, assuming you don't give it to them."
