He frowned. A soul pure enough for this would be hard to find. Something like a child. He hoped he didn't need it, but he'd rather have it and not need it than the alternative. He'd tuck it into one of his pouches to save for later. He'd then make his way to the bookshelf to examine what was there. Magic theory obviously, but he was curious how advanced the books were and if there was anything out of place stuck in there where it might escape notice by a casual observer.

He'd note every single book was one he's never seen before. The first shelf he looked at held 12 books.

All of these were new, and he wished he could stop time and just pick through each one right now. But for the moment he would continue his search of the shelves.

The second shelf had nine books, both shelves having room for more. The other two shelves were mostly empty, with only 2 and three books on each.

It shimmered....but remained blank for several seconds. Then a word appeared.

It faded away a few seconds later.
