Name: Squad Training Requirements: Assigned a Squad Job: It's time to get the squad together and hash out our problems. Be they in the field or with each other personally. Bonus: Fight each other, discuss problems, and grow together or apart. Payout: +5 exp, +$250
The now aqua haired, gold eyes Command Captain of Cabal stood in a spot he found in the training field. A place the represented the artificial part of this place. A point where several different field types expanded from. Grassland, forest, desert, Rocky crag, lake, and snow. Like a huge pie chart.
He had left a message for Melanie to meet him here to get in some training.

Melanie came bounding down the stairs. She was headed for the mess hall when a trainee came up to her.
"Excuse me, Ross, Commander Krane has requested to in the training ground. He wants you to head there right away."
Melanie nodded and left the hall right away. She grabbed a few breakfast bars on the way out and headed directly for the training area. Once there, she shoved the breakfast bar in her mouth and offered the other to Krane.
"Morning. Breakfast?"
She waled directly to him, placed the bar ion his hand a kiss upon his cheek. Yes, she had to reach up on her tippy-toes for that.

Accepting the breakfast bar and smiling at the kiss he would munch the bar real quick and raise his hands a flash of light and some sparkles later and his swords would appear.
"I wanted to see if these were useful. Curious about your battle capabilities as well."

Melanie backed up a step and looked over his blades. They weren't gonna talk about him dying again, were they? She gazed down at them, seemingly unaware that she was still silent. It was a few moments before she spoke.
"I suppose we should test them."
After all, they were given at a high price. Why not see if they were worth the price paid? She raised her hands in much the same fashion as he had and brought her own blade out.

Krane would heft the blades, spinning with them and slicing, treating them like he does his tentacles in combat. "They are... Elegant... However, deadly. What do you think about yours? Atk: 26 (51) Spd: 30 (53) Def: 25 (43) Per: 25 (29) Eng: 35 (49) Lost Blades - Krane's heart is locked away and difficult to reach. Misunderstood The Blade of his heart has split into two short sword giving him +12 Atk, +12 Spd as long as Krane is focused. If he is confused, unsure, or lost the blades actually lower his stats.

Score she could stop herself, Melanie responded without missing a beat. “I honk they came at too high a price.” She looked momentarily shocked as she heard her own words, but quickly regained composure. “I find mine interesting. I didn’t have to do anything for it. It just... came to me.” Melanie looks over her blade unsure.

Krane nods.
"I believe my Uncle thinks their need will outweight the cost. Or else he wouldn't of suggested it in the first place. He doesn't tell anyone his abilities, let alone something as secret as this... A sign of desperation if you ask me."
Krane would grip the blade handles tighter as he focused and leapt slicing through a few tree's before landing in a slide, spinning to a stop.
"These seem to make me faster... Stronger. If I can use them to further my goals, find my own name. It's worth it to me."
He'd turn to look at Melanie and grin as he lowered into a battle stance, holding the left one out in front of him, and the left in a reverse hold behind him.
"Well then, let's see what you got."

Melanie looked backp u at Krane and watched him move. He WAS faster, and taller. That wasn’t from the blade though was it?
“Nothing is worth losing you, Krane. I only just got you back. I don’t want to lose you again. And definitely not for some knife.”
She really wanted to throw down her dagger but held it right. She fake jabs it in front of her and swings it from side to side awkwardly.
“I really don’t fight a lot. Most of my ‘skills’ are just opportuned times to use my satchel.”
She made air quotes with her fingers around the word ‘skills’ then patted her satchel.
“I really don’t know how to fight. I just use my gut feeling.”

"Well, I can teach you."
Krane nodded. Holding the left blade like a knife.
"There are a few knife or dagger techniques for basics. stabbing and slashing. Never stab over head, always hold it forward. Thrust it, straight from your gut or chest. Slash it for limbs, not the body. Try it, attack me."

Melanie followed his directions, quietly grumbling to herself about ignoring important things. She faces Krane and held the blade out in one hand and, after giving him a very unsure look, attacked him. By literally running directly at him. Great idea. Arm fully outstretched and everything.

Krane would frown, slapping her wrist from below with the flat of his blade, stepping to the side and avoiding her entirely.
"Hold the blade at your side or close to your body when closing the distance. Stab with a thrust."
Krane would show her a few quick and hard thrusts.
"Intent to kill is very important."

Melanie cussed low and rubbed at her wrist where he had slapped her. No, it wasn’t the pain, it was the ridicule.
“Kill?”
Melanie’s eyes snapped to his.
“I-I can’t—“

Krane would stare.
"You won't."
He said sternly.
"Stab here."
Krane would tap his stomach on the lower left part of his abdomen.
"I know where you are going to attack, you know I know, and I'm a skilled warrior. Aim to do maximum damage. Practice doesn't make perfect, practice makes permanent, if you don't practice in a way that you will actually need to use it in battle, then you are making yourself weaker."

Melanie’s eyes bore into his. She. Would. Not. Cry.
“Krane, I know I won’t kill you. I just can’t kill anyone.”
Her eyes dropped to his chest.
“Krane, my father was murdered. You were killed. I would never wish that pain on anyone.”

Krane would drop his swords and they would vanish in a flash of light and sparkles. He would walk forward and put a hand on Melanie's shoulder.
"That is tragic, I am sorry for your loss. However, by not learning to do this properly, will condemn people tot hat pain. Our job is to end the people that do those things. Kill one so that that one does not kill hundreds. In the last three attacks I have fought on the front lines, witnessing the enemy throw themselves at our ranks in droves for the opportunity to crush us and kill everyone in Cabal. We lost many people, many we I knew and served with personally. If you can't take the life of someone who may take mine on the battle field, I can't trust you at my side."
