Krane takes a single coin to inspect it, bit pockets it to be researched later he waves off the rest. He has no sense of currency.

"Alright... Rest for now, we will have a proper research team prepared for tomorrow to investigate properly. Good work."

Krane turns to leave.

Cael pockets the rest of the coins, not gonna argue with that as he shrugs and looks to the others.

Lann nods in agreement.

"W-well that went w-well..."

[Kaia Galanos]

Faye thinks to ask if he knew anything of the symbol...but chooses to remain quiet instead. They'd likely get details later.

"Mm. All that is left to do now is wait."

"Seems so."

[Krane Asiv]

It would be the next day they would be assembled in Krane's new Supervisor Office standing in front of the desk.

"You all did a good job finding and reporting what you did. The tank and armors are being investigated along with the sigil you found.

As an update the child still has not awoken from whatever is keeping it asleep. It seems to be... Grown. The blood tests have come back as... Not human. It's possible it's an artificial being of some sort. Our contacts and informants say it's not a Barker experiment and Prota is not claiming ownership."

He would let that sit in.

"As a reward I'm promoting each of you one rank above what you are now. As well giving you power over any part of the investigation into this as you see fit."

[Caelan Xander]

He blinked.

"Uh... What do we know?"

He'd glance at the others, unsure of what to do about the promotion, or what questions to ask.

What the fuck. How is he promoted!?

Lann just stands there awkwardly. He has no idea what he’s doing.

Faye perks up at the mention of it being made in a non-traditional way.

"You have my gratitude."

More power to do things is 100% something she's down for.

She's happy to let Cael's question be answered first since it's actually a pretty good starting point.

Krane would nod.

"The Sigil is from a pre war mercenary organization. During the war they stole qi tech designs and scientists to try and bring pre war tech back to the fore front of the conflict. Then suddenly vanished. The child is wearing a jump suit of some kind that grows with them and his body reacts only to light that we have seen. The damage to the tank came from inside, and it lost power we hypothesize it has to do with removing the child from the Qi engine."

Krane would take a breath and look at them.

"That's everything we know as of now."

Cael would look to Faye, she was the smartest of them.

Creepy experiments...

It kind of sounded like the kid exploded. But he was still there, fine.

So weird.

[Kaia Galanos]

"I did notice the fact there was an explosion of sorts...But there lacked any blast-burn marks that would be left from a traditional explosion."

She tapped her chin in thought. The easiest hypothesis would be that it happened due to the child. But what exactly did it do? Was it just a massive "push" against the metal? Something else?

"Do we hold the same liberties in investigating the child as well?"

Even without a 'real human' status, it was a...probably living thing? So she'd rather get permission first. As much as she loved history, it felt more important to understand that first.

"If there's anything more we can learn from that thing, it may give us more clues for what exactly caused them all to vanish down there...as well as what that 'explosion' was."

[Krane Asiv]

Krane would nod.

"The child falls under this investigation so you have full access to whatever you want or need to figure this out. It's not Cabal top priority, but as far as your squad is concerned my orders are to make this your top priority."

[Caelan Xander]

"So where should we start?"
