The others still see and feel nothing.

Lann knocks a huge rope like thing from his leg, it was thin, but exceeding long, flopping in the ground and vanishing into the distant bushes.

Following the rope like thing into the bushes they find a round hole of disturbed sand about the size of a car.
Lann, were you left alone? Freaking out, while everyone else went to check the hole? Are you separated from the strong friends? Is something tickling the back of your neck?!
