"Hmmm. Okay."

Elias nods, just dropping the general's body like it's garbage before walking to the window.

He checks carefully for a guard lapse!

[Leon]

It's taking a while, it doesn't seem like he see's a lapse yet. Plus Elias is pretty sure the general just shit himself.

[Thorn Wyatt]

Elias has no patience whatsoever.

"There's no gap."

He says, turning with a frown.

"And this fucking smells."

[Leon]

Leon would close the door her was looking out and nod.

"Well we haven't been discovered yet, so we could try to calmly leave the party, or we can take the body to the ledge outside the room, throw it into the dance floor, jump out the window and make a run for it."

[Thorn Wyatt]

"Throw the body."

Elias says without hesitation.

It smells.

[Leon]

"Just to warn you, you will purposefully be alerting the party to an issue on this floor, so they will be looking and investigating this way, looking for suspicious activity."

He figured he would inform Elias of the consequences since this was just a practice run. However he would signal for Elias to grab the General's other arms and lift. They would open the door, rush to the railing and toss the body over.

"Move!"

Leon would charge through the door again and to the window to look outside. The guards were starting to rush inside, making a huge gap.

"Jump, now!"

Elias throws the body, secretly hoping that its pants come off to make more of a scene, before turning and running after Leon.

He doesn't hesitate in the slightest, leaping out the window in an attempt to escape before the guards make it!

[Leon]

After Elias jumps, Leon leaps after him, they make good distance and by the time to dogs are released they are long gone.

"Good job."

Leon would spend the next couple of years running Elias through scenarios like this. Deep cover operations, with and without Qi. Even open assassinations with declarations of who did it. Elias would be trained in vital places to strike, the art of escape, quick killing versus injuring to send a message. Until Leon felt confident Elias could kill any target he sent him after. He then went through a few years of capture and torture for information. Seeing how long it would take for him to break under near constant stress, physical and mental abuse, lack of sleep, electrocution, bleeding to near passing out. Cutting torture, broken bones, the whole ringer. Every time he gave up information the simulation would end, they would take over techniques to resist and adapt, and the understanding that no one lasts forever.

After a few days of recovery Leon would approach Elias since now it was time to teach him what was expected as an Apprentice.

"Well... I think it's time we discuss what happens when you get to the real world before we do any other training."

[Thorn Wyatt]

Years of torturing/being tortured swiftly change Elias' outlook on a lot of things.

Elias is sitting on the floor, staring at his hands as Leon approaches.

"Oh? What's going to change?"

[Leon]

"Your status mostly. As a Dragon Apprentice there are things you should be careful of. Enemies we have simply by name, and if any of the governments found out you were being trained as a Dragon they would surely and specifically target you. There is also a level of respect you should expect, a name to defend. You are officially the apprentice of the Lightning Dragon. My enemies are yours, and your enemies are mine. To get help should you need it, go to Lightning Country, prove your worth to the family heads.

As my Apprentice, do not use my name for personal gain. Do not insult, or otherwise piss off a named Dragon. I know your goal is to kill Mathew Amtrum, but until such a time as you have your own name, it's best you play nice. Don't expect another Dragon to help you, if there are other Dragon Apprentice's they could help you, but it's every man for themselves. Unless someone is challenging the Dragons, cause only Dragons fuck with Dragons. Got all that so far?"

[Thorn Wyatt]

"So I don't expect Dragons to help me, but I'm expected to help them if they're targeted by something."

Elias scoffs. He's not thrilled with that idea.

"What's a named Dragon?"

[Leon]

"Think of it as putting in your time."

Leon would reassure with a grin. However his second question made sense.

"As an apprentice you are considered a nameless Dragon, a member of the Dragon Core even. Which is just the bulk militia we used to have. A named Dragon is someone who has obtained a title. Lightning Dragon, Blood Dragon, Earth Dragon, Shadow Dragon, Storm Dragon. All of those are named Dragons. It goes Named Dragon, A Voice, an Apprentice, Dragon Core Commanders, Dragon Core Lieutenants, Dragon Core. At least that's how it used to be, so on the respect mantle you are right up there."

[Thorn Wyatt]

"Hm."

Wait.

"Are there any Voices left?"

[Leon]

Leon would look down.

"No."

[Thorn Wyatt]

Elias shrugs.

"Oh well."

He doesn't know why Leon's looking down. As far as he's concerned, people die all the time.

"What else is expected from me, as an apprentice?"
