"I'm sure you could do it if you like." Celia gave Oni a reassuring smile and nod. She wans't sure what else Oni would do with it, but it was something to see for everyone.
At the mention of the atmosphere of the academy, she nodded again, slower, shifting as her hands clasped in front of her. "True. I admit, I wasn't quite sure what to expect after everything we'd heard. The place is...lively here, explosive, even, but even then there are people with good hearts and intent here."

"Do they teach anything different at the Zekunft academy? I actually dont know what much about them honestly. I should but... It just hasn't come up yet. Probably a little rude of me to have done that when they are practically our neighbors even with the distance" Oni was worried she was talking to much.

"I suppose you could say all four of the head territories are neighbors, no matter where they are." Celia offered Oni a sympathetic smile. For one who seemed to lvoe adventure and opportunity, she had to wonder if the girl had ever left her territory's boarders. There was so much out there, if you were the type.
Celia was not the type. She still was uneasy walking the grounds of Cabal. Clearing her throat, she continued.
"Well, we are a little more focused on culture and trade than you are here. There are peaceful ways, or those that can be good for multiple parties involved. Our military has its own academy. Some of them come out rather admirable." She tapped a finger to her jaw.

"With that I get memories of my recent trip to 241. It was vibrant and musical. I sure thought it was fun." she exhaled recalling her short adventure.
"I could even say I wish my squad was a little less gung-ho they might get along better if they took a moment to... Not out match each other. They are good people just... Hot headed. Thought it wouldnt be the first time a team would split because they had to be so competitive or stubborn." she shrugged and blinked as one thought fell into the next. "One thing I like to think keeps Cabal from exploding in chaos though... We are motivated by our betters to keep up. Suppose the same thing that tears us apart is the same thing that brings us together."
It was a quick realization as the pieces were put together suddenly. She found she would once again be worried too much. A spur of hope she wanted to believe in.

"I hear it's quite lovely." Celia nodded. The territory of the gods. It sounded like a dream, a world of wonder and music. She felt herself brightening in spirit, taking an interest in someone else who shared some of her own thoughts in terms of combat and politics - like stay away and pay attention.
Her bar for Cabal may have been set fairly low. Add to that the fact Rose was telling her about shirtless, violent men, and Celia had begun to fret about her own place in this academy. She wans't sure how long she was even to be here.
"That is good to hear." She nodded, indicating Oni could walk with her if she liked. There was no real destination, just a chance to enjoy a lovely day.
"I'm sure things will work out for you all, one way or another. Sometimes it just takes time."

"Yeah you might be right about that." for sure Oni hoped time was on her side for their sake. "But I hope I am not holding you up for anything I am a bit to curious and nosey for my own good. I just enjoy listening to other people and finding out who they are."
She apologized for sure. "Also if you need anything I am kind of everywhere and I might have an answer to just about anything."

"Not at all. I am just enjoying the chance to walk around in peace." Her first encounter here had been far from it, though Celia opted not to speak of it. It wasn't her place to say.
"I'll remember," she promised at the offer to press Oni for questions. She laughed softly, a small distance still between them, but her nervousness easing more as they spoke.
"But tell me about yourself. I don't know anyone actually from here."

"Oh, well I grew up a bit different from most. My dad made a business out of sponsoring "super heroes" eventually it turned into a beauty pagent and he just took the money and sold the company. I was a late bloomer with my Qi and even then it was difficult to accept. I used to look like any normie." she shrugged.
"So I remained studying and getting to know the history and roles of my predecessors to inspire me. Now I am taking all my knowledge and actually getting some hands on experience, its a little late but you know what they say about better than never." she smiled. "Thats the gist of it."

It sounded like Oni should have been the apple of her father's eye. She coudln't imagine celebrating that kind of thing, maybe an exception for something that had a benefit to all without being hideous or cumbersome. Oni's power coming late seemed to give her time to consider such abilities as a positive thing, something that was embraced rather than acknowledge for the pain and inconvenience it was.
"I see." She nodded.
"I'm sure he's quite proud of you. Your father, that is."

"He tells me all the time." she beamed. "Traded in seasonal designer clothes and a big house to a cozy one and all the time in the world to spend with him. He really never treated me differently from before. And wr had loads of fun playing games and watching movies."
Her smile grew wider. "He thought only the best for me, and so he told me; "Going to a place like Cabal keeps doors open and reveals new ones." suggesting that even if I dont want to be on the military front line it is better than being a defenseless last resort. Plus it looks good once poeple like us graduate and find our place."

Oni was practically glowing at the thought of her father. A big hom, loving attention, luxuries. All things she enjoyed, and yet gave up to be here. To become more than a 'defenseless last resort.'
"And what is it you do, if you don't mind my asking?"

A single red finger touched her lips as she thought about it.
"I dabble a bit in everything I suppose. Actually I've mostly kept tabs on people it helps me to strategize. My future plan would have been possibly someone who makes battle plans and turns the tides of war or negotiate fair trades and peace treaties. I suppose some form of diplomacy where I deal with people."

The fact that Oni could continue talking about this like it was nothing stunned her. She had such high hopes and big plans, plans to make herself useful off and on the battlefield while still being a part of the world as it shifted and grew. A far cry from her own home; Celia knew what she wanted from life as much as any others back home did. Yet hearing something so completely different being treated as normal was like having a conversation with another, different stranger. And yet, Queen Kaizer ruled over Zukunft. There were always exceptional exceptions to the norm. "That's quite ambitious. It sounds like you're well on your way to doing just that." She paused, letting her thoughts wander ot her own persona safety. And privacy.
"Do you keep records of those who live here, as well?"

Oni held up and hand and shoot it like so-so was going to be her answer. "I do but I am not sure how they would actually help anyone out. Mostly think of them a character spread sheets. Right now I just use them to create stories."

Soni caught sight of her red haired friend. And she walked with a tiny little blondie. How interesting; the opportunity was as golden as her friend's friend's hair. Soni snuck up behind them (so that when they spazzed she'd be standing a few feet behind them laughin) and cast her voice to be right behind both of their ears. It was a manly black man voice, sounding so close it was as if his head was in between theirs. In a very smooth and sly voice it said, "Well hello, ladies." Distant Call: Throw voice from Skyrim, essentially. Soni can create sound up to 20 ft. in any direction as a distraction to a specific point. 16 Qi uses remaining
