There were a lot of things that could attract Rose to a person...but today she was just looking for something cheery to leech off of. And it was Lann. Humming a tune.
Even though he was just forcing that happiness, Rose couldn't really tell. She was just happy to follow about ten feet behind him...quietly following him and his song!

Lann's pretty blissfully unaware of his follower, humming away up until he starts to turn a corner.
Then he nearly walks into a garbage can.
Horrified that he might accidentally injure his squadmate, Lann pushes himself to the side to avoid it, ending up tripping and falling on the ground!

Rose stops in her tracks as she sees him narrowly avoiding a trash can but still wiping out in the end.
Why would you throw yourself away from an object that hard? It probably hurt less to bump into it.
She kinda hides behind the wall he just pushed away from, meekly staring him on the floor. Should she help? What if he knew she was following him, now? Maybe he'll yell at her?
"MMm...rmm...um. Are...you o-okay?"
She can't help it, she feels bad when people get hurt.

Lann looks up from where he's sprawled out on the floor, then his face flushes in embarrassment.
Oh man. Not only did he spill out like a chump, but someone saw him spill out like a chump. His confidence isn't able to handle this.
"Uh.... yeah.... I d-do this kinda... thing all the time..."
Perfect. At least she seemed nice, so far.

Lann smiles awkwardly as she kneels, trying to seem at ease even though he's nervous as shit with people coming into closer proximity.
