Now... studying, training, or fighting....
Training sounded like the most fun. All terrains? That means there had to be a city simulation...thing.. or something... Maybe she could find those ancient things Veronica talked about called "cars". Soni had seen them on the sides of old roads after being taken under the wing of Veronica, broken down and covered in plant life. Hopefully she could find some to smash up with her sound blasts!
Training definitely sounded fun. "Training it is then.." she said to herself. She started that way, using sound launches here and there to speed it up a bit.
...
She had found it; the big city training ground. She stood between two buildings, the one on her right five stories tall, the one on her left a mere two; both were mostly brick. At the bottom of the one on her left was what looked like an old flower shop, with a big glass window meant to display what was on the other side, which was currently nothing. The building on the right had several rooms, much like a hotel that her and Veronica stayed in once. This must've been what was known as an apartment. Four tall metal posts surrounded her, one on each corner of the sides of the buildings that faced her. The tops of them curved into two smaller poles, with glass on the end of them. Maybe these were the "electric" lamps that she was told about. Very interesting. And, of course, on the two story building-side of the street, two of the legendary "cars" sat with a couple feet between their ends.
She had never had so much freedom. There were the occasional times when she was with Veronica where she could practice her power a bit, but she never pushed Soni to use her power much, knowing that the lab had already done that enough. She was happy to help Soni when she wanted to practice, but other than that never really invested in it. But now, here Soni was; an entire town to scream to bits. She almost didn't want to; it was like a museum full of ancient relics from a time she missed. But... then again... she definitely wanted to.
The blonde girl shut off her music player and rested her headphones on her neck. "ALL MINE, HUH?!" she yelled. The shout echoed mildly in the empty street with enough volume and pressure to kick up some dust around her. After taking a brief look back and forth, she pulled down her mask. If she could show her true emotions, the removal of the mask would unveil a smile, but she couldn't do that for obvious reasons. Her facial muscles contorted in the same way, but it was little difference.
She stood there, feeling the breeze blow against her cheeks and through her mouth. She closed her eyes and breathed in through the cheek cavities. She didn't get to feel this very often. Her eyes slid back open, and she took a side look at the car. Internally, she smirked. "annnd BOOM!!!"
At the "boom", Soni created a sonic blast, shattering the glass of the car to pieces that rocketed away from her. The window of the building on the opposite side of the car from Soni also blew out. Glass shards flew into the far wall inside the building. The car itself lifted up off the ground and slammed back down from the incredible blast. It's entire right side was dented significantly. The bricks of the flower shop moved slightly, causing a few cracks; dust and a little bit of rubble falling from the wall. [Sonic blast: Capable of bursting eardrums, throwing opponents, and doing significant damage to internal organs by matching their frequency. Could put your average joe in the hospital for a couple days. Also has the ability to shatter glass, dent vehicles, crack concrete walls, and burst fire hydrants. Qi uses: 16/17]
Soni stood in the middle of the street laughing. This felt amazing. "Holy crap!" she shouted out again to the sky. She could do this for hours. And probably would, hopefully uninterrupted.
