.......
That.. kid... talks a lot....
"I'm Mr. King. Your neighbor's coworker. Sure you can carry something. It's brand new. No you can't wear the hat, you'll turn into a slug."
He knew how to talk to eight year olds. You have to pique their interest , while shooting them down at the same time. He handed the kid something moderately heavy, so he could carry it. And feel like he accomplished something. He continued to walk with Oki, after shutting all the doors, and locking them. He really didn't need that car stolen. Seriously. That would suck.
"So he's the hyperactive eight year old with common child ADD?"

"Really now?"
Overprotective eh? What's he afraid of, a murderer coming home with her?
He followed her up the steps, answering the little eight year old's questions out of order. Which made sense, the kid was talking way too fast for his own good. He might lose concentration and break himself. That would be horrible.... what's that screaming?
Oh dear... nukes in diaper!
"Yes. No. Some jerk would pour salt on you. Old enough. No you can't ride in my car, no I'm not married. I don't know your mother. That's for time to tell."
Oh dear! Catch the Crutch! Ok... I missed, I'll just bring it in.
"Old Man? I'm barely in my thirties."
He almost went inside the apartment, he noticed the note, and grabbed it. Reading it carefully, he deduced like any other would, that the boy and girl's mother's father had suffered a heart attack. And that no one else would take the little monsters. That's a little irresponsible. Leaving the kids to go to the father he just suffered a heart attack. If the man had died, the cadaver could wait until she got there. Which he doubted that he died, since it didn't say anything about it.
"Oki.. did you see this note?"
He said walking in nonchalantly. Not even taking notice of the decorations until he looked up from the note, and holding it so the text would face whoever looked at him. He took his hat off, and put it in a high place, away from Marcus' thieving hands.
