Level 0 - Life Force Absorption: Elias stores the life force of those around him when they die. He can hold up to X amount of charges, with X being 1.25x his current level of energy, and these charges can be built up over multiple threads. He gains two charges per death.

Elias can use these charges as a temporary buff for one thread only, spending the charges to increase his attributes as a sort of temporary experience points to his base stats. Once spent, these points only last for the current thread, and the charges must be built up with death once more. Upgraded twice.

Level 1 - Elias drains a small amount of Life Force from his opponent with each successful strike he lands, gaining one charge per blow struck. Each strike makes his foe suffer additional physical damage per stack he has stolen from them. Each stack stolen causes the target to take +1 physical damage. Upgraded once.

Roses bottom half turns to dust as she spontaneously gains a new one on her upper half. Once the major healing is done, her eyes regain life and Rose sits up with a sharp gasp.

It takes but a second for her mind to catch up, and she quickly gets to her feet just in case Elias grew bored of waiting. Or didn't feel like giving her a moment to collect herself.

Elias just keeps watching, and he smiles a little as she gets up.

He lets her ready herself again.

"You're not done, are you?"

He asks, lifting a hand up towards her. The palm begins to glow a soft blue color, as a ball starts to form in his hand.

Rose holds her blades up defensively, putting the Scaled one at the front and furrowing her brow.

"N-no! Of course not!"

She eyes the energy ball and bites her lip. She hadn't really seen that one but she was pretty sure she had a plan...m-maybe.

"C-come on! I can t-take it..."

She's terrible at bluffing.

"Okay. But I'm not holding back, like you said."

Elias says with a shrug.

The ball rapidly expands, before shooting towards her, exploding on impact!

It doesn't take much moving for her to go and block the attack, even if it's just a portion of it. Rose looks startled as her Dragon Scaled Blade manages to sap up a portion of the projectile...but it's still too much power for her to fully stop. She quickly supercharges herself to help take some of the incoming blow. After about a second, the explosion would send her flying back as she gave a bit of a yelp in response!

She hits the ground and rolls, quickly trying to pick herself back up as though it had been just a push.

"Th-that..."

It's too embarrassing to pretend she's cocky.

"Was scary..."

And even though she wanted to see Elias' reaction to how well she was able to handle that, she would proceed to absorb the stacks to make herself stronger. Then start running towards Elias to finally take her own swing at him. If she can even knock him back she would be proud of herself. She takes a swing with her left blade to slice horizontally at his stomach. Because she was told that was a soft spot.

Elias' eyebrows lift in surprise that she had taken the explosion so well, to the point where he just watches in disbelief as she gets up, fairly unscathed.

She's much tougher than he had ever given her credit for.

Elias goes to swing his blade down and to the side, his own strength suddenly increasing to match the strength of Rose's attack in order to block it, aiming to knock her blade back!

"....you're strong...?"

It's definitely a question.

Ah...how can she REALLY surprise him if she can't even accomplish her one goal!? She needed...more. Even just a bit more.

"I am!" she proclaims boldly, mostly to try and convince herself. She had to show him she could be REALLY useful! And so, she uses her bloodline Qi on herself...

And probably makes the first pissed off face she's ever made in her life. With an almost primal scream, Rose steps in again to take another swing for his chest!

More than anything else, the face is what shocks Elias the most. Not the dual wielding, not the fact she managed to speak boldly to him... but the anger on her face causes him to react a little slower than usual. He pushes himself backwards, but Rose's blade still opens up a gash across his chest!

As off guard as he is, it keeps him from counterattacking immediately!

In her aggressive state, she doesn't think much of his reaction at the moment. She's only fixated on proving herself. She would have originally been quite proud and concerned about injuring him...but now she just wanted to push it further.

She keeps coming after him, alternating her swing by using her opposite blade to slash at him diagonally; starting at his shoulder.

Elias quickly feels the threat to his long-term safety, and steps forward into the attack, looking to push his own blade into Rose's stomach while letting just the hilt/her wrist hit him in the shoulder instead!
